    Ms. tried to run a scam. She let the lady charge the vet bill then the next day contested it with the credit card company so that she could get the charge reversed. Services would have been rendered with no charge. Only thing is she fumbled the investigation and the CC company put the charge back on. Then she had to sue to get the money. I've seen this done before.

    • @jessetaylor7951
      @jessetaylor7951 2 года назад +1

      Lol you hit that nail on the head! I bet the CC company said if you know who did it, you need to make a police report and press charges, and when she wouldn't because it's all a scam they're both in on the CC company refused to refund her money. She's lucky she didn't get flagged for fraud. But yeah it's not unusual for a company to not authorize a reimbursement in an incident involving theft unless charges are pressed... Watching 7:16, the likely scenario is that the plaintiff naively agreed to pay the vet bills without knowing how much it would be. She only changed her mind when she found out it was a huge bill of 1800 dollars so made up the story that her credit card was stolen. This is again confirmed at 12:15 when the plaintiff's friend said she loves dogs but not to the point of paying $1800, i.e a lesser amount would have been fine.

    My question is even if she authorized the charge, shouldn’t the defendant pay her back ? If someone helped me like that, I would pay them back. I wouldn’t expect my neighbor to “gift” me $1800 and take on the responsibility of paying for my dogs vet bill.
    T he only thing that seems off to me is why the person taking the payment at the vet would allow someone else to sign the credit card slip with the person whose card it is right there. If what the defendant said was true, then the plaintiff had ulterior motives. She purposely had the other woman sign the slip so she could contest the charge later on. Which makes her either diabolical or the victim. The plaintiff’s entire testimony clearly showed she had an issue with telling the truth. She claimed not to know the defendant and a few other things in her testimony stick out as half truths. Really odd case.

  • @angelicrealtor1

    Plaintiff did NOT authorize the charges and should sue the Veterinarian alleging FRAUD on the part of his staff. Then have the Defendant AND her witness arrested for FRAUD and let her bail herself out of jail. The Vet's Staff should've made the person signing for the charges to show their I.D. Shame on the Defendant for taking advantage of a Senior Citizen. Even if the Plaintiff had been drunk, and the Defendant knew it, she knew it was not authorized when the Plaintiff confronted her about it. She should have been an honest woman and paid her back the money. The other problem I have is that the Defendant alleged that the card was given to her witness allegedly by the Plaintiff to pay the bill. She only conjured about that story to deflect responsibility off of her. KARMA will get her!!! Respectfully, I'm very surprised and disappointed with the verdict from the Judge to be frank. Sincerely, a Retired Fraud Investigator in Georgia who knows better.

    The plaintiff paid voluntarily, but afterwards she told the woman who came with her to Court and that lady told the plaintiff that she shouldn’t have done that.
    That is why that lady said “but not $1800 worth” in the hallway!
    THEN the plaintiff came up with the whole, weird story.

      Really?vets today are outrageous with their bills.there are many seniors who adopt shelter dogs for emotional support and do their best to care for them.many of those dogs were scheduled to be euthanized,they got a second chance.so do we let them die or adopt them praying they stay healthy.how about if a human gets sick.they are going to get stuck with huge bills and be finacial strapped cuz of poor insurance or no insurance.many seniors i know will buy food and medicine for a pet and go hungry or not get their medicine.should we euthanize them too cuz if you get old and can't afford medical bills its your fault?

    It seems funny to me that someone would have a pet, and when that pet gets sick, they do nothing for their beloved pet because they don't have the money. Yet, I guarantee you, if that person got sick, whether they had the money or not, they wouldn't make themselves suffer for a week until they couldn't walk to get help.

      Human life is more precious than animals. Yes if my child is sick you could put my life on the fact I’ll do whatever to get the money over that of a pet.

      @@autumnoday1325 my point still stands. I’m doing much more for HUMAN life than a dog, I’m not going into debt and put MY livelihood at stake. I’d just put the dog down, it was an unfortunate incident but it’s a tough decision in life.

      Would go 2,000 in debt for a dog but wouldn’t to help starving PEOPLE.

    • @autumnoday1325
      @autumnoday1325 2 года назад +1

      @@hijabibeautiful Then go out and do something good for starving people and let someone that'll take care of the pet buy the pet. Don't buy pets if you're unwilling to care for them. Pets feel too. They are living. And when they're sick, take care of them. If you can't take care of them, then don't get any, otherwise you're just foolish!!
      And as for the point of the kid, it's highly unlikely that your pet and your child will get sick at the same time. But, if your pet gets sick, and you decide to put it down because you may have to pay for the child getting sick later on, maybe you can jump up and down screaming what a wonderful, and absolutely perfect father you are, while, in the meantime, the child goes through mental and emotional trauma because you just killed the child's beloved pet. What a grand and amazing father you are putting your child through trauma!!!!!! You're the best!!

    I just wanted to make a comment about the guy who's outside who interviews people in the street. The reason he got bit by that dog I'm sure it's probably because he doesn't know how to approach dogs which I could see from the how he approached the dog in this video. Why would you come up behind a dog when it's not looking and place your hand on its back? That's just asking to get bit. Guys don't reach out and pet dogs if you don't know how to approach them appropriately and always ask before you pet (not all dogs like strangers touching them)!

    Plantiff was wrong but the defendant was disgusting. Letting your dog get sick to the point they can’t move is neglectful. I understand she didn’t have money. But before it got to that point she had options like surrendering the dog, looking for non profits or low cost vet options, taking out credit. When you take responsibility for a life, it doesn’t end when shit gets tough.

    So my personal opinion is they were all in on it.
    First it is funny how the dog owner never touched the card then some third lady who had no reason not only to not be there but definitely had no reason to be the one standing at the counter when they asked for the payment now on top of that the card holder refused to sign since the card holder in my opinion NEVER EVER planned on PAYING but instead she ALWAYS PLANNED ON DISPUTING the CHARGE. Meanwhile the dog owner got her dog treated and again NEVER EVEN touched the CREDIT CARD for some reason.
    Either way I know for a fact the card holder planned on disputing the charge before they even left the house only it did not work so she ended up having to pay at which point the dog owner lady refused to reimburse her probably saying something like “It ain’t my fault your plan did not work so I ain’t payin you.”
    WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK
