The 2024 Lexus TX Interior has TONS of Space and Thoughtful Touches

  • Beth and Matt review the interior in the 2024 Lexus TX 350 in its mid-grade Premium trim that costs $63,405 as-tested. At that price, it's a lot of car for the money with best-in-class space, lots of tech, and many thoughtful touches around the cabin. For most luxury 3-row SUV shoppers, one look at the huge 3rd row will be all the convincing they need that the Lexus TX is worth getting over all it's competitors, while being priced similarly or below most of them. What do you think about the TX? Big thanks to Lexus for providing this Lexus TX 350 Premium to review.

    In my opinion the TX combines the best space, with mpg and power in this segment. None of its competitors combine all 3 well imo

    • @almassengale
      @almassengale 2 месяца назад +1

      The MPG is solid but it does require premium fuel which more than wipes out any cost savings versus say an MDX while makes more power on premium but runs just fine on regular.

    On the Lexus website, it doesn't appear the head-up display or digital rear view is available on the premium trim (only part of the tech package for luxury trim). Is this wrong on the website?

      Thanks! Yeah it would be nice to offer the choice in the 500h and 550h+, but at least the bench is available in the top version of the 350 still.

    It has "nice" everything. The one thing it doesn't have is distinctive GOOD LOOKING exterior styling. I've looked at one at the dealer, and yes, the interior IS very, very nice.
    Thank you for another great interior review!

    Love the new Lexus Texas! 😄. I think they did a great job with the interior. The only thing i dont like is steering wheel buttons that arent labeled and you dont know what they do (lookin at you Tesla and Rivian). With the Lexus you have to put your finger on them to see functions, which seems like it'd be really distracting. Small nitpick though in an otherwise excellent looking interior and infotainment.

  • @alexmassengale433
    @alexmassengale433 Месяц назад

    I wish they didn't put things like the heated steering wheel and seat controls into the touchscreen. I'd much rather have buttons for frequently used controls.

    • @alwaysiyi272

      If you go for any hybrid trim, they come standard with captain chairs

    • @MattMaranMotoring
      @MattMaranMotoring  5 месяцев назад

      Captain's chairs are available in the Premium trim and above, and like I note in the video, they're heated and ventilated too when you get that option.

    • @Hawaiianstyle17

      We just purchased a TX 350 AWD Luxury and its awesome. We went with 2nd row captain chairs. They are very comfortable. I'm 6'4 and can sit in all three rows comfortably. My kids actually fight over the 3rd row. They have two large seats instead of three small ones. They have their own A/C vent above the large rear window, phone charger, arm rest, and cup holders, 3rd row electric split recliner.

  • @almassengale
    @almassengale 2 месяца назад

    I wish they hadn't moved so many buttons to the touchscreen.Also I really don't get why cars devote so much space to wireless charging pads? It takes all of half a second to plug in a phone and wireless charging pads are slower to charge and often don't work as well.

    Can you measure the CarPlay size? I’m tired of car makes lying about screen sizes, if those buttons are essentially permanent it’s just a downgraded button panel and shouldn’t be taken into marketing to make it sound better

    What’s not a thoughtful touch is baking climate controls into the screen. Increase screen size? Fine. Usurp hard buttons and bake climate into the infotainment to make that happen? That’s a lazy way to boast a bigger screen

    • @blackwhirlwind1245
      @blackwhirlwind1245 5 месяцев назад

      That’s same situation with Subaru’s current infotainment screen, I hate it, It’s a cheap way to tell people “we got a big screen”, with all the climate controls and buttons built in the screen. But at least the climate controls are stay there all the time.
