  • I wanted to build a Murphy Bed (a hidden bed) for my bedroom, so here’s a video on how to make a bed!
In this video i will show you how I made an Inexpensive Murphy Bed using a hinge and some basic tools.
Cost of Material used in building this is under $80
I am using only two power tools, Circular Saw and a Drill Machine to make this.

I knew it could be done without the official hardware. Many thanks for sharing your creation with us. Plus I loved the tools that you used. Excellent work which in theory means it should be a walk in the park with the tools I've got. I'll just use my "Impact Driver" Drill 🙊😁
I'm going to use the base of my sons cabin bed & make this for him. When you've only got a small bedroom which just happens to be over the stairs, your really limited to space. This will create a lot more floor space in his bedroom so I can put a small sofa in there for him to chill out on instead of having to constantly sit on his bed. My son is only 8yrs old & I feel bad as his 11yr old brother has a far bigger bedroom than him. So I'm looking forward to making this. Again many thanks to you & your fabulous video. I've also shared this with my friends on Facebook. Keep up the excellent work.x

The ‘official hardware’ just makes it easier to lift the bed. Depending on the design it will have additional features like hidden legs or a stay level table etc.
If those things are not that important, all you need is a pivot for the bed. Plenty of variations on how to pivot the bed.

You make it seem so easy❤️ Your tabletop saw is ingenious and you recycled a coffee ☕️ table to make it ✅ if you are artistically inclined or know a artist 👨‍🎤 you could have a picture painted on the bed to camouflage it when not in use🎊

Brilliant use of piano hinges as they are very strong.

Excellent Video! Can you make a video how you made that table saw. I am poor and I can't afford a fancy table saw but this would work very nice.

Table saws can be kinda finicky and really dangerous i would strongly suggest you either rent one for a big project or save up a little and get an inexpensive one.

I like how you show your mistakes and how to repair them. That is just honest, and I like that. I want to build two of these for my daughter's.

Pretty damned good. I typically watch woodworkers from here in North America, but I don't have a big fancy shop or all of the tools, it is pretty awesome watching you do this with pretty primitive tools... I think I am going to steal part of your design
