If you ever do 1974 (50 years ago), I could have a lot to say about it. I was born in November of 1967, so I was 6 going on 7 that year. I remember a lot about the 70's in general, and I consider myself fortunate to have had my childhood in the 70's and my teen years in the 80's. I am glad to have my family's photo album and have photo records of the 70's and 80's. I like to think that I was born and grew up during the perfect time to be able to do so.
For movies, you could check the newspaper or you could call the theater and listen to a recorded message that went through every movie and every showing (hang up when you heard what you wanted).
I was thinking the same thing, wasn't there something called movie phone or some such? Maybe that was the 90s but I seem to remember it listed all the titles and which theaters and times they would be playing.

Ok, I was 13 in 1984 and first, I’m so impressed and give respect to these kids for even caring about what happened in 1984. 🫶It’s true that the majority of pop culture from music to fashion, art, etc, is still based and related to what happened in 1984. They had a HUGE fan base (and still do actually lol!) Like Taylor Swift, but without the help of social media, they were like One Direction but could truly play their instruments and write all their own music!! They were our Beatlemania! Please please go back and have them included! Seriously! All the girls wanted to marry them and all the guys were jealous of them or wanted to be them! What’s even more amazing is, they’re still touring and playing venues like Madison Square Garden today!! They might be in their 60s now 😢 but they’re still as fresh as ever!! Ok, rant over! Otherwise great video! 😂
I was a senior in 84 and no, Duran Duran wasn't that big. Not saying they weren't really popular, but there were way better groups. Prince, Billy Squire, Ratt, Motley Crue, Waver music was way hot.
