I've had a string of toxic, one sided relationships that I held onto for far too long and gave far too much to keep because I have extreme fear of abandonment due to BPD. In the last few years I've been doing a lot of self reflection and healing. Listening to this song on repeat has helped me with that. It reminds me that I need to stop mending bridges that need to be burned.
Came across on a Small Brown Bike playlist, first time I've listened to Against Me! since Reinventing came out when I was in high school. In fact, it reminds me a lot of how I feel about most of the things and people I new in high school. Right on.
