@@megasecptile3996 If it did reference Counter, that's another layer on top of it, because Counter was useless against anything that wasn't a Normal or Fighting move in Gen 1, and even in the modern day only blocks physical attacks, while he's rapping about his Blastoise using a Special attack, its Hydro Pump.

Excuse me professor, I couldn't help but I noticed that you didn't notice Shara's line which was " The student becomes the master recognize ". Iris was an actual student and went on adventures like Ash in the anime. Then in the games, she went from a student to a champion.

So, fun fact about the "We be so scaldin', Steven and Wallace" bit? Scald was a Water move created later, but when Gen 3 was remade for OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, both Steven and Wallace got it, and they're the only named characters to get that move added to their arsenals, to show off that they're good friends.

Baton Pass let's you switch your current pokémon for a new one and give it all your current status changes (even the bad ones ._.). Usually the idea is to use stat boosting moves on your pokémon with Baton Pass and then switch it for your dmg dealer who now gets some delicous delicous buffs to hopefully wreck your opponent

There is no Pokemon move called 'Trick or Treat' however, there is a move called 'Trick' which swaps held items with your opponent. So, if my Pokemon has an Oran Berry, and uses 'Trick' it will pass that Oran Berry to the opponent's Pokemon. So if I use 'Trick' then you get a 'treat'. It's a very clever line.
