My favorite line is from Barry. “Yuh, came in with a THUD!” Cause when you meet him for the first time in Gen 4 he always runs into you and it says *THUD!* in all caps.
I’m kinda Surprised that Shwab didn’t catch the call back to his Victor verse on the trainer cypher. Breeton as hop says “Claim he been the Victor don’t care what he says he on” as a call back to Shwab ending his verse with “I’m the Victor, remember the name bitch.”
I just understood the flying stab bar watching this reaction. He says his team is "impeccable" ie they cannot be pecked. A peck is essentially a stab, but it's also a flying type move
Chi-Chi got done dirty being put after Ti since she ( and most other people ) can't quite match Ty's bar barrage and energy , though she also did what she's best at - singing , in which there is barely any person that can match her
Yea like she isn't that great at rapping, mostly mediocre but HOLY CRAP there are no people except ppl like McGwire or some other singers that can top Chi-Chi
I actually love these less bar-heavy verses where they describe the character and their motives/ambitions Guess that's why I love the Villain Cypher more than the average listener
"My group is impeccable, we resistant to the flying stab." Impeccable like "im-peck-able" the flying move called peck, which is basically a flying stab. Incredible writing!!!
Man, I've loved seeing Mega Ran start popping up in some of the cyphers and stuff online lately, years ago him and a group called Duane and Brando are pretty much the ones that got me into the whole Nerdcore scene of music, without them I dunno if I ever would have gotten into all of this stuff.
45 Degrees and I'm surprised that you missed so many of the callbacks to the previous cyphers. Ham Sandwich copying the "That dude Blue" and initial flow from Gyee, Breeten references both your bar from the Trainer Cypher with "Claim he been the victor, don't care what he says he on" (to be fair that might not be a direct reference since the character's name is Victor but it definitely feels like one.) and the "Champion Time" line referencing Dan's verse from the Champion Cypher. Honestly I'm growing to love how much these cyphers are starting to feed into each other.
I honestly thought Chi Chi's verse was a nice change of pace compared to the rest. But i have to admit thet that might be because i'm a little bias towards her because i love her style and it's almost an instant click when i see her on a song/cypher, and i can see how that change of pace can throw other people off. Also, i rarely catch any bar that isnt an obvious one so you stopping and explaining the 45 DEGREES bar wasreally nice and really helpful. Looking fowards to your next reactions and songs
im generally not a fan of the Shauna verse as it just completely swaps styles to a massive degree with no pause nor any impact on the gen 7 or 8 verses. If the Gen 7 verse was more similar to 6's it wouldve generally landed better. For me its just a complete flow killer. Hugh's verse going good- then Shauna's completely takes an entirely different direction- then straight back to Hugh's sorta style with Hau's verse. Was like riding in a car with someone and they goin 40- then slam on the brakes only to just go back to 40
@@betabee1221 i can see that and i agree. It just doesnt have that efect on me because i generally like a little touch of singing/almost singing in cyphers, just like Divide in the TOP cypher by DPS (although that was more at the end than this one right in the middle, but the rivals have an order and they cant change that)
Was curious to see what you thought of this one- nice to see you liking it. My fav verse has gotta be Breeton, but that might also be my Hop bias peeking through haha And also- 45 Degrees
That Paul bar in Cam's verse was referencing the fact that there's a character named Paul in the anime for Sinnoh, but he doesn't exist in the games of the same region, while Barry exists in both pieces of media.
Kevin Bennett's whole vibe, flow, and story in this is just a great example of being able to make a great verse without constants bars. He's just such a good rapper in general, extremely happy that he was on this cypher. Definitely prefer verses where there's more said too but Kevin's verse came early enough in the cypher for that to not be a worry for the verse. Chi Chi's verses often feel kind of empty to me in cyphers, I get they're serving a different purpose but Id rather more of what we already were getting, but thats just what I want from a cypher, totally cool for those who like her stuff and the pacing it brings. 45 DEGREES
If you came back to this video to complete watching all of the videos on this channel then I salute you. also Ham sandwich's verse is actually a reference to the beginning of blue's verse in the champion cypher
Peck is a flying type stab move which stands for same type attack boost. So when he says "my crew is imPECKable we're resistant to the flying stab" that's what he means
I wouldn't say hate more dislike he enjoys some of the singing verses he just wants to hear bars over singing but good flow and fun word play can make a singing verse good
I love the honest reactions more than the overhype reactions. So seeing you react and not give everything a stellar review is SUPER refreshing. 45 Degrees!!!
45 Degrees! Glad you explained that bar from MegaRan I knew I was missing something.. I wish I could pick an absolute favorite verse, but I can say my top 3 was Ty, Politicess, and Breeton
Out of all of these cyphers, I’d say it’s gotta be down between this one and the trainer one. Both of these were really solid. Also, I stand corrected on my views on the Shauna verse. If you listen to it with the right equipment, the verse is a bit clearer on the tail end.
Honeat feedback is why i follow the reactions my dude. Its the only way to help each other improve. Lies do nothing for the creators. Edit: 45 degrees are always a win
Stab is when a pokemon uses a move of its type for better damage like Pidgey is flying so peck would be is effective move instead of using a ground move or another typing
I’m usually the other way around. I hear others mentioned they liked Chi-Chi’s other verses in previous cyphers before and felt like I was forced to like them as well. Here in this cypher actually was phenomenal.
Chi-Chi's verse, personally, felt very out of place as Shawb's had said. It felt off and very forced to add some uniqueness in it. ESPECIALLY after the elemental monkey bars Ty was spitting at the end. Not to mention that she was moreso describing Shauna and making name flips moreso than leaving an impression through the bars As a stand alone verse, it's nice and I like it. But it falls flat while in a cypher where everyone up to that point was rapping and had some hard bars.
@@megasecptile3996 say what you want. I really liked her presence in the cypher. It’s for several reasons, but one of them’s because she was the only female participant. And I’m sure there are some bars that you didn’t catch. The Deli-catty line is to me, quite well done and, like Trickywi’s verse in the champion cypher, it was a good mix of singing and rapping. Finally, as a pair of side-notes, I genuinely dislike swear words (and pretty much all other NSFC content). For this reason, I’m not particularly fond of Mix Williams’s verse in the cypher. This one wasn’t my favorite when I first heard it, but after watching a couple reactions I’m starting to come around to it. I think the big problem with Chi-Chi’s verse was that Shauna’s just not that great of a rival, but they’d already done Serena, and there aren’t many female characters in this one to begin with. I would’ve maybe tried a three person team for all the rivals in those games, have them go line by line or something

Or a switch up, like on the champion cypher
@@volvodgio I think they went with the structure used in here to make it similar to the trainer cypher.

Okay
@@volvodgio just compare the participants of each cypher and where they originate from with each other.
45 degrees!
When you turning 45 degrees to listen to money long like legs?

45 Degrees: Gotta say my favorite verses were Mat4yo, Cam, and Politicess'!
Great reaction👍
45 degrees « W » 😂
I admit chi chi wasn't great but gen 6 ones generally suck so this was a huge improvement from the other gen 6s
My favorite verse was Hugh followed by Hau but I'm biased with gen 7 as it was my favorite gen. But that 45 degree bar was nice
45 degrees but slightly late
