This cypher really means a lot to me. I got back into the anime at around Gen 6, and I don't know many people irl who keep up with it either. I made my own Masters 8 rap with my terrible audio quality cause I figured no one else would. I found an EXCELLENT Spanish Masters 8 rap cypher, and I thought that was all I was going to get. Cam dropping on Saturday was the highlight of my whole week, AND he brought 7 of my favorite artists with him. I could not have asked for anything more
This song was dope. The beat was cool, gave it that big game feel and the AMV was cool (MaxG F.R). My knowledge on Pokémon is not the best, thanks for those that broken-down the references, made me understand the song better. Great reaction. 1. Cam Steady had a dope flow and his energy was dope. The switch between his flows was cool. 2. Rustage had a dope flow and as the verse went on the way he switched it up, that was smooth. His references and they way he flipped those references were dope. 3. Chi-Chi had amazing vocals. Her singing was so smooth. The way she flipped the Pokémon names to fit her verse was clean. 4. Ty Wild had a dope references and he was doing what he does best. His flow was so smooth. 5. Da-Wolf had a dope flow. Her energy was so cool. She had dope references and the way she used the attack names were dope. 6. Mat4yo was smooth on his verse. His flow switch was absolutely dope. The transition was clean. 7. Allow me to share my personal favorite line here and explain why I think it's amazing. Mat4yo's Alain Verse near the end of it... "Down to the fiery finish. I mean, me and the team, we violent. Cinching the League, Mission Complete like Zygarde. Isn't it it neat? The way that A (Alain) be (B) sweeping to X, Y, Z" Of course there's the AB to XYZ meaning he's going from start to finish easily, or in a "Cinch" But, there's another layer here... "Sweeping" in Pokemon means you go through most of, if not, all of the enemies team with a single mon. He's saying that he's gonna win the Master's 8 tournament in a cinch through sweeps with a fiery finish, or in laymens terms - With his Mega Charizard. Ironic that he lost first round against somebody with a Charizard... But he got big fucked up in the Masters 8 Tournament purely because he went up against Leon round 1
@@ProfessorKuro I also forgot to say this in my original post, but there's (ANOTHER) extra layer to this & that is that Kalos (The region Alain is from) has Legendaries that represent the last 3 letters in the alphabet, Xerneas, Yveltal & Zygarde, and Zygarde has different forms because he was split into different pieces, and his 100% form (Which was what was shown when Mat4yo said "Mission Complete like Zygarde) is also known as "Zygarde Complete" It's not only a bar because of where Alain is from, but it's a bar because of how a Pokemon works in the story and gameplay

Basically *the* big tournament. - Ash won the Alola League and now is in the finals against Leon so hence the "gotta win champ back to back" - Steven's the Hoenn champion specializing in steel types and fossil pokemon (Cradily and Armaldo). His ace being Metagross. One of Skarmory's abilities is Keen eye (hence the eyes killer bar) - Diantha's the Kalos champion and a big movie star loved for her beauty and talent. - Ty Wild just spitting info about Lance we all already know (I hope). - Sheer Force and Mold Breaker being abilities of Druddigon and excadrill respectively. Which Iris has in either the B2W2 or the anime. Life orb is a held item that boosts a Pokemon's damage output (pretty often used with a Pokemon like Haxorus that's all about raw damage) - Alain's Ash's main rival in the Pokemon XY&Z anime. He's the one rival Ash never managed to beat and Alain beat him in the Kalos League finals. The guy collected mega evolution energy and started his journey to be the best mega evolution trainer out there. Weavile, we violent, Meteor Mash, Meatier Mash, cheeky Mat. - Do I even have to explain about Cynthia? lol - Leon might be a powerful trainer, but he indeed has a TERRIBLE sense of direction, hence the "the only time he lost is when he leaves his own home" bar

I would call Leon getting lost the Zoro effect, which wouldn't really be a spoiler as from pretty much Zoro's introduction the dude says he became a bounty hunter because he couldn't find his way back home. The dude had a bad sense of direction that only got worse. And Zoro's only defeat against a swordsman was to Mihwak, which would be like how Leon lost to Eternatus.

Where the higher you go, the tougher opponents you'll face. Think of it as Pokemon being insulted by Showdown and making their own scuffed ranking system. - Best of 3? Swept like Bea In the anime, which i had to look up because i don't watch it, Bea SWEPT Ash with 2 Pokemon, both mons still standing. To break it down even further; Best of 3s are a common betting sets in any game, but it's flipped here to say that; not only will Cam win the best of 3, he'll sweep you like how Bea did to Ash in their battle, and only with 2 Pokemon where the standard, "official" way to play singles is bringing 3 Pokemon. Also it's a nod to the previous line with "Master Class" - So fly, so sharp Farfetch'd went from a Normal/Flying type to Fighting type in this generation. So he essentially went from being fly to sharp. Also because the whole deal with Farfetch'd is that it's suppose to Crit which is the way it evolves into Sirfetch'd, by landing 5 Cris in one battle on one mon. - Draco renders you useless Not only did Ash have ONE OF THE MOST BUSTED MONS TO EVER EXIST (Dracovish), but it's also a gun reference. Also, Dracovish name and signature move name flip, Fishous Rend. Fun fact: The reason why the competitive scene *hated* Dracovish, to the point of sending it to Ubers where legendaries reside, is because of this: Strong Jaw ability, Fishous Rend (which gets BOOSTED by Strong Jaw), Choice Scarf, 90 base attack, 75 base speed, and Water/Dragon typing. Fishous Rend deals extra damage if the user moves first, hence why we ran Choice Scarf (+1 Speed but locks you onto the first clicked move for the turn) for the most part, but the bonus damage also activated when the OPPONENT SWITCHED. And with a solid 75 base speed and 90 base attack, it outsped most of the tier at the time and hit it hard, even through resists. And that's all not mentioning the STAB it gets on Fishous Rend due to it's typing, also how many opportunities it gets to spam the move due to it's typing. -------------------------------------------- Rustage/Steven Stone: - Iron on me, Iron Man Just a simple Marvel reference. Also how Steven always collects jewels in the series as his signature Pokemon is a Metagross, a Stell/Psychic Pokemon. Also, gun reference. - Hoenn for me, quite the man A region name flip, Hoenn - Hoe'in - Crossing rounds, Venn diagrams Not only is this a pewpew reference number 2 from Rustage, but also Venn diagrams are those 2 or more funny little circles overlapping one another to separate 2 or more categories from each other but also pointing out what they have in common. We did these things in elementary school. But it could also be a reference to Metagross' X on its face. Cause a cross can also mean an X, so crossing rounds could mean that Steven is just sweeping through the competition and crossing everyone's names off the list. - Green magic, emerald glow I don't know if Rustage added this in on purpose or not, but I found something. Emerald Glow is a company that specializes in aging stuff, using CBD (or "green magic" in this case). And they have a product under the name Emerald, "Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil and Face Oils" - Medusa Habits, friends with the stone Steven, in the games, is a geologist and collects rare minerals. So he hangs around rocks all the time and why you had to deliver to him that letter in a cave. And Medusa being the Greek mythological beast that turns people into stone. - Gun Germanic, Metal is Gro (Ess-Tsett the English name for that B that is in the German alphabet) I dug a little bit to find this but here it is in full: 3rd gun reference by Rustage. But also adding that his gun is massive like those used during the wars Germany were a part of since Gro-Ess-Tsett means "Big" in German. As Ess-Tsett also produces that sharp S sound like in "see". So this is massive props to Rustage for finding a way to sneak that in. Oh and also, Metagross, Metal is Gro-Ess-Tsett. And i tried finding a way to add Ess-Tsett into this breakdown but I know it'd be impossible to add on mobile so deal with the full name, sorry. - Mossdeep, when they buried below I could actually find nothing regarding Mossdeep and being buried aside from maybe part of the city still in the water after the meteor crashing down and creating Sootopolis? It's a stretch but it's honestly the best I got. Aside from the small abundance of Ground types you fight in the city from Tate and Liza (the gym leaders of Mossdeep) and Team Magma in the Space Center in Emerald. - Colour coded, gems noted Every gemstone that exists has a name and colour correlated to that name. Like how sapphires are blue, emeralds are green, rubies being red, etc. And as a geologist, you have to recognize these shades where you can look at it and label what gemstone it is - Bones goated, they got scoliosis I'm glad I caught this once you mentioned Cradily's name and looked into it further, and I knew it was Cradily but I was thinking too hard about the bar. Cradily is classified as a *barnacle*. And what are barnacles made of? Hard calcium plates that best resembles bones, hence why Cradily is part Rock type. And since Barnacles help the environment and play a crucial role in the sea by eating plankton, this partially explains why Cradily is also part Grass type. Overall nice bar here. Oh and scoliosis has nothing to do with the bar aside from Rustage dissing you, yes you random person on the internet, about heaving weak bones while his are goated, the best. - Skarmory, eye's killer Skarmory is strictly carnivorous as they need to eat a lot to maintain the iron body they proudly own, a low amount of iron from feeding means the armour will be weak and that Skarmory will not live long enough. Aside from that little tidbit (like Skarmory having a killer's eye to spot prey), the nest half of this bar is a little messy. There are 5 possible stretches that will probably be all wrong; 1. A song by the name of Killer's Eyes 2. The Eyeball Killer, Charles Albright, who recently passed away in 2020 for the crimes he committed 3. A movie by the name The Killer Eye 4. Eye Killer - the gift of gab - or pursuing others effortlessly 5. Predator like how Skarmory is - Training express like a crime thriller This might back me up one of the points i made previously. But as for the training bit, oh boy was this a rollercoaster to try and look for; IN THE FUCKING MANGA, Pokemon Adventures, ORAS Chapter; Steven enlisted the help of the 3 main protagonists Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire along with the help of Utima (whoever the *fuck* that is) to train the dex holders Chic, Sceptile, and Mumu (i gave up trying to understand the manga) in learning how to mega evolve (either use it on Pokemon or use it themselves (again, i gave up trying to understand it)). This was the small training arc that I could find from the manga and I'm pretty damn sure Steven instead explains his training stuff in the games. And part 2 which will be another verses

Chi-Chi/Diantha: - Action, watch the champion Not only is Diantha the champion of the Kalos region, but she's also a hit actress in the region - Screaming my name, throwing a Tyrantrum Possibly meaning that her fans adore her so much that they're like a Tyrantrum? Causing a lot of noise due to size? I tried really hard to come up with a bar here to make it fit but the inclusion of trying to name flip Tyrantrum (Rock/Dragon fossil Mon) did not work here. I'm sorry Chi-Chi - Want more of us, Crowds Aurorus Again, the name flip did not work here but I did try and catch what she meant. Aurorus is an Ice/Rock type fossil Mon, but it's the name flip that's the catch here. In the context given, Chi-Chi might have tried and said that the crowd "adores us" or "is 'round us" since the words right before it are "Got the fame". And i like how you mentioned "A roar" since i didnt even think of that which backs up the previous line of mentioning Tyrantrum, which both mons learn Roar, a phasing move with -6 priority so it's one of the last to move. - Shining these stones like Xerneas Ok ok ok. We stan Chi-Chi here but holy fuck did I NEVER hear anyone pronounce Xerneas (Zer Nee Us) the way she did. But moving onto the bar, Xerneas is the god of life, like how i explained in the Legendaries Cypher, and how its horns glow when this power is in effect. Along with this, Diantha also has a ton of shiny objects with her (that I've seen in the game at least) due to her professions, hence why her "stones", or jewelery, glow like Xerneas when using Geomancy. - Billin higher than a Scorsese The ONLY thing I was about to find was Martin Scorsese, the direction behind Goodfellas and motherfucking Shark Tale. Aside from that, Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Project is collection that bills around $100. Aside from that, i don't know what a scorsese is since i live in a box. - Going Mega but don't change me Some Pokemon change typings once they Mega Evolve; Aggron: Rock/Steel > Steel Audino: Normal > Normal/Fairy Charizard X: Fire/Flying > Fire/Dragon Gyarados: Water/Flying > Water/Dark Pinsir: Bug > Bug/Flying Sceptile: Grass > Grass/Dragon Mewtwo X: Psychic > Psychic/Fighting Ampharos: Electric > Electric/Dragon Altaria: Dragon/Flying > Dragon/Fairy Lopunny: Normal > Normal/Fighting Whereas the rest of the mega mons, stay the same typing, and Diantha's ace, Mega Gardevoir, falls in the latter category. ----------------------------------------- Ty Wild/Lance: - Draco with a beam Typical gun bar by Ty. But many, if not, all, Dragon type Pokemon learn Hyper Beam due to the sheer amount of damage they have resided in them. But since it's a useless move, we don't care about that. We only care for the gun bars - Gyarados, Intimidate, hit it later Gyarados has the Intimidate ability which reduces the Attack of the opposing Mon(s) by 1 stage (-1 Attack) and is widely considered one of the best abilities in the game by competitive players and VGC players alike. But also maybe a (hidden) nod to Pe$o's verse on the 2019 Pokemon Cypher, "She said I'm a water type when I pulled out that Gyarados". And i know y'all ain't innocent enough to know that bar - Clair my hoe Clair is Lance's cousin that got overshadowed by him due to him landing to be the Dragon *Master* opposing to the title that Clair holds, *the* Dragon *Tamer*. That last part may be a little flimsy but Clair and Lance being related and cousins is cannon. But Clair is fine so who can blame him for overlooking that. - Need an Emilia, Milly "A Milli" Emilia is a side character from the Detective Pikachu move, a reported from the film. That's all I was able to find. As for the "Milly, 'A Milli'" bar; A Milly is "an Evangelical woman/a girl with no ethnical background" And "A Milli" which is Lil Wayne's biggest single to date (i think). - Hydreigon, try attacking Hydreigon was *the* biggest threat in UU for years to come due to the sheer power and destruction it brings with its stats alone, much less the amount of moves it gets and items it can make use of. Spawning various sets for different situations. Hence the, "try attacking" section of that bar. But also a name flip for the move "Tri Attack", which Hydreigon learns due to its 3 heads - Flashing Cannons Flash Cannon is a Special Steel type move that Hydreigon can also learn, and often runs, to counter Fairy Types. Also pewpew bar Part 3 coming up
DaWolf/Iris: - Nothing's black and white Pokemon title flip, BW/BW2. Whereas Iris is present in both but plays a different role in both. Iris was moreso a side character in BW, whereas she became the champion in BW2. But DaWolf is saying that not everything in life is separated into 2 categories, there will always be more than 2 sides of every coin. - Drew the gun, Focus Blast Druddigon is a Pokemon under Iris' belt as well, so that right there is how one name flips a mon. But Druddigon also terrorized the lower tiers in the competitive scene due to being a Dragon type too, so movesets, stats, everything. Learning Focus Miss, i mean Focus Blast as well. - Sheer Force, Break the Mold Druddigon learns BOTH of these abilities although Mold Breaker is its hidden ability. What each one does is as follows; Sheer Force: Negates secondary effects in order to add more damage to the move. (Negates Life Orb recoil, Flinches from Rock Slide, Defense drops from Crunch, etc etc.) Mold Breaker: Negates the abilities of everyone on the field, ally and foe alike. (Bypasses Wonder Guard, Levitate, etc etc) - Chip Away at the little score Chip Away is a Physical Normal type move that ignores the opponent's stat changes (in this case, Defense and Evasion). It's pretty damn useless overall and VERY forgetful. - I'm up 4 / Elite of course Flip of how Iris became the champion of Unova in the span of a year since BW and BW2 came out a year between each other, direct sequels. - Drop a Guillotine Guillotine is the most well known OHKO move in Pokemon, as there are 4 in total (including this one). And in order for the OHKO move to work, the following must be met: - Higher level than the target, or equal And there's a hidden tech behind it where every level difference between the OHKO move user and target (in favor of the OHKO user), the user gets an extra 1% accuracy on the OHKO move. - Better cut it short / I'm in Crunch mode Cut it short because I'm tight on time, crunching time. But Crunch is also a Dark Physical move that was introduced in Gen 2. The move has a 20% chance to lower the Target's Defense by 1 stage (-1 Defense) - Not a Fire type but my dragons know There are only 3 Dragon/Fire type mons (one being a Mega, the other an Uber, and the last being forgettable). But almost all Dragon type Pokemon know a Fire type move, from Sunny Day to Ember to Fire Blast. A good chunk, of not all, know a Fire type move. - Dragons know / i got a hold on em like a Life Orb The Life Orb item is probably the most prominent item in competitive Pokemon as it gives your Pokemon a 30% boost at the cost of a 10% HP drop. But the ratio is perfect for sweepers like Haxorus, Hydreigon, Druddigon, and others. But mostly used on Dragon types due to the availability of Dragon Dance. - No Draco let it spray like a Meteor Draco Meteor is one of the BEST Dragon moves in the game due to the sheer power and how safe it is to throw out on any neutral target. The move is a Special Dragon type move. The only downside is that it isn't as spamable due to the move lowering the user's Special Attack stat by 2 stages (halving the Special Attack stat). Also, pewpew reference - Automize Automize is a Steel type status move that boosts the user's speed by 2 (doubling the speed stat) and becoming half the weight it is. This is useful for heavy mons like Duraludon (Steel/Dragon) where Low Kick deals less damage since Low Kick takes into account the Pokemon's weight for the damage. ---------------------------------------- Mat4yo/Alain - B sharp when I hit the right Key Stone Bisharp is a Steel/Dark type mon that was pretty ok overall in the competitive scene. Threatening once it got Defiance but still ok overall. Hence the name flip. Oh and Alain was probably the first person in the Pokemon anime to show off Mega Evolution and swept Ash with it. Also because Mega Evolving at the right time in the competitive scene means everything since you can outplay your opponent with the type changes or stat changes. - Any tyrant i tarnish Clever name flip here where Tyranitar's name is used since it is a tyrant Pokemon in the sense where it hasn't dropped down from OU once, except for in Sword and Shield. Tyranitar was a behemoth of a Pokemon and always posed as a threat as a defensive and offensive Mon. - Alain, toughest claws Alain's ace, Mega Zard X, has the Tough Claws ability which boosts any contact moves by 30%. And with the arsenal that Zard X can bring? It was pretty much damn near impossible to stop. Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Flare Blitz, and Outrage/Dragon Claw was the standard set that threatening OU. - Colour burns the hottest / read Zard's lips For those who don't know, Blue flames is the hottest flame every known to date. It burns from red, orange, white, sky blue, solid blue. - Mission complete like Zygarde Like how I said the the legendaries cypher, Zygarde is broken up into cells which makes up the Complete Form, or 100%. - A be sweeping to XYZ Alphabet flip with AB - XYZ. Not only that but it can also be a Yu-Gi-Oh reference with the monsters AB and XYZ that Kaiba used and was a popular deck in real life. As for the Pokemon reference, Alain has been sweeping his competition as he had shown with Ash during his Kalos run. And how terrifying his team is along with how busted Megas were if you built the right team. - Speeding up fast / raps get more than a Dragon to Dance Here's a good reference of 2 things. Talonflame, Gale Wings more specifically, and Dragon Dance. Gales Wings: Gives all Flying type moves +1 priority. And this was locked behind one of the most threatening Pokemon in the OU tier back in XY when this was BUSTED, Talonflame. The ability nowadays is absolute SHIT because it now only works when you're at full HP opposing to when it just gave Talonflame a free +1 to every flying type move like in XY, no matter the HP you were at. And Dragon Dance comes into play because of the latter half of the bar, simply naming it. But Mat also references his fast rapping in his previous cypher verses which got progressively faster with each feature but slowed it down for this one. - Go ham, Meatier Mash Meteor Mash was Metagross' signature move, a Physical Steel type move that has a 20% chance to increase the user's attack stat. And the name flip again to have Meteor have the same category spelling as Ham but keep the same annunciation as Meteor. - Who needs Team Flare when you're creamating Ash Moreso a diss towards how trash Ash is when he got swept by Alain and his Mega Zard X. Also a reference back to the hottest flames since Blue flames has the potential to creamate due to how hot it is compared to the other flame colours. Part 4 coming soon
Sailor/Cynthia: - Name's been all around the world Cynthia, in the games, has made small appearances as shown in BW where she was in Undella Town for "vacation" and you had to battle her at some point, triggering PTSD in some players or instilling fear in others. And I'm sure there isn't one person who doesn't know who Cynthia is as she is the most popular champion and female character in all of Pokemon - See my fave and they know your girl Again, a nod to Cynthia's popularity in the real world and how the creators know about it too. Cynthia is just built different. - Blacked out, ready for your funeral Cynthia rarely wears anything but her signature coat, which is all black, as that is what makes Cynthia...Cynthia. Aside from her Garchomp, Lucario, Spiritomb, theme music, etc. And at funerals, you have to wear all black to show respect and as an act of mourning (in ancient Rome times) - Send your spirit to the tomb Spiritomb Dex entries state that it is made up of 108 souls before becoming a Pokemon. So a spirit can become a Pokemon if there's 108 of them? What about the ones that are missing 1? Does that mean that your soul is the 1 that is missing to make another Spiritomb for Cynthia? - Study whatcha got I assume, in the anime, Cynthia learns from her opponents and plans accordingly. But also how in BDSP (Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl) she learns with each rematch, whether you fail or pass and adjust the AI accordingly. - Have the brains, have you all gawk / So thirsty, call you Brock I'm sure we all admire Cynthia for her portrayal in the anime and games in how smart she is. But she possibly sees that as gawking and thinking we're thirsty for her like how Brock is in the anime; falling for any living and breathing female that shows up, from Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny, to Cynthia herself. - Got em them craving what I brought / Hungry, i can hear them Garchomp While yes some of the Pokemon community is horny for Cynthia, it's also a tease (?) in the way how Sailor worded everything. "Craving what I brought" but also a good reference, and backing up the last Brock line since Brock cooked for Ash and co during their travels, by following it up with "Hungry" right after and "Chomp" from Garchomp, her ace. Mostly because of it's ability but also because of it's signature move, King's Shield. It even got banned to Ubers in XY as well. In XY, any contact move lowered the attacker's Attack stat by 2 stages (halving their Attack). But it got nerfed in SwSh (Sword and Shield) by having the Attack lowering be lowered by 1 instead of 2. Effectively killing the move and the reason people ran Aegislash and cared for it, now using a Choice Specs set and using it for free damage. Oh and Aegislash is a Shield and Sword at the same time. Weird but very cool design - I told my Charizard to go Dig Zard learns Dig. Useless on Zard but it's a move...yee

1. Cam Steady had a dope flow and his energy was dope. The switch between his flows was cool.
2. Rustage had a dope flow and as the verse went on the way he switched it up, that was smooth. His references and they way he flipped those references were dope.
3. Chi-Chi had amazing vocals. Her singing was so smooth. The way she flipped the Pokémon names to fit her verse was clean.

Of course there's the AB to XYZ meaning he's going from start to finish easily, or in a "Cinch"
But, there's another layer here... "Sweeping" in Pokemon means you go through most of, if not, all of the enemies team with a single mon. He's saying that he's gonna win the Master's 8 tournament in a cinch through sweeps with a fiery finish, or in laymens terms - With his Mega Charizard.
Ironic that he lost first round against somebody with a Charizard... But he got big fucked up in the Masters 8 Tournament purely because he went up against Leon round 1

- Steven's the Hoenn champion specializing in steel types and fossil pokemon (Cradily and Armaldo). His ace being Metagross. One of Skarmory's abilities is Keen eye (hence the eyes killer bar)
- Diantha's the Kalos champion and a big movie star loved for her beauty and talent.
- Ty Wild just spitting info about Lance we all already know (I hope).
- Sheer Force and Mold Breaker being abilities of Druddigon and excadrill respectively. Which Iris has in either the B2W2 or the anime. Life orb is a held item that boosts a Pokemon's damage output (pretty often used with a Pokemon like Haxorus that's all about raw damage)
- Alain's Ash's main rival in the Pokemon XY&Z anime. He's the one rival Ash never managed to beat and Alain beat him in the Kalos League finals. The guy collected mega evolution energy and started his journey to be the best mega evolution trainer out there. Weavile, we violent, Meteor Mash, Meatier Mash, cheeky Mat.

I would call Leon getting lost the Zoro effect, which wouldn't really be a spoiler as from pretty much Zoro's introduction the dude says he became a bounty hunter because he couldn't find his way back home. The dude had a bad sense of direction that only got worse.
And Zoro's only defeat against a swordsman was to Mihwak, which would be like how Leon lost to Eternatus.

Master Class is a tier in Pokemon Sword and Shield's online battling system. Where the higher you go, the tougher opponents you'll face. Think of it as Pokemon being insulted by Showdown and making their own scuffed ranking system.
- Best of 3? Swept like Bea
In the anime, which i had to look up because i don't watch it, Bea SWEPT Ash with 2 Pokemon, both mons still standing. To break it down even further; Best of 3s are a common betting sets in any game, but it's flipped here to say that; not only will Cam win the best of 3, he'll sweep you like how Bea did to Ash in their battle, and only with 2 Pokemon where the standard, "official" way to play singles is bringing 3 Pokemon. Also it's a nod to the previous line with "Master Class"
- So fly, so sharp
Farfetch'd went from a Normal/Flying type to Fighting type in this generation. So he essentially went from being fly to sharp. Also because the whole deal with Farfetch'd is that it's suppose to Crit which is the way it evolves into Sirfetch'd, by landing 5 Cris in one battle on one mon.
- Draco renders you useless
Not only did Ash have ONE OF THE MOST BUSTED MONS TO EVER EXIST (Dracovish), but it's also a gun reference. Also, Dracovish name and signature move name flip, Fishous Rend.
Fun fact: The reason why the competitive scene *hated* Dracovish, to the point of sending it to Ubers where legendaries reside, is because of this: Strong Jaw ability, Fishous Rend (which gets BOOSTED by Strong Jaw), Choice Scarf, 90 base attack, 75 base speed, and Water/Dragon typing. Fishous Rend deals extra damage if the user moves first, hence why we ran Choice Scarf (+1 Speed but locks you onto the first clicked move for the turn) for the most part, but the bonus damage also activated when the OPPONENT SWITCHED. And with a solid 75 base speed and 90 base attack, it outsped most of the tier at the time and hit it hard, even through resists. And that's all not mentioning the STAB it gets on Fishous Rend due to it's typing, also how many opportunities it gets to spam the move due to it's typing.

- Iron on me, Iron Man
Just a simple Marvel reference. Also how Steven always collects jewels in the series as his signature Pokemon is a Metagross, a Stell/Psychic Pokemon. Also, gun reference.
- Hoenn for me, quite the man
A region name flip, Hoenn - Hoe'in
- Crossing rounds, Venn diagrams
Not only is this a pewpew reference number 2 from Rustage, but also Venn diagrams are those 2 or more funny little circles overlapping one another to separate 2 or more categories from each other but also pointing out what they have in common. We did these things in elementary school.
But it could also be a reference to Metagross' X on its face. Cause a cross can also mean an X, so crossing rounds could mean that Steven is just sweeping through the competition and crossing everyone's names off the list.
- Green magic, emerald glow
I don't know if Rustage added this in on purpose or not, but I found something. Emerald Glow is a company that specializes in aging stuff, using CBD (or "green magic" in this case). And they have a product under the name Emerald, "Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil and Face Oils"
- Medusa Habits, friends with the stone
Steven, in the games, is a geologist and collects rare minerals. So he hangs around rocks all the time and why you had to deliver to him that letter in a cave. And Medusa being the Greek mythological beast that turns people into stone.
- Gun Germanic, Metal is Gro (Ess-Tsett the English name for that B that is in the German alphabet)
I dug a little bit to find this but here it is in full: 3rd gun reference by Rustage. But also adding that his gun is massive like those used during the wars Germany were a part of since Gro-Ess-Tsett means "Big" in German. As Ess-Tsett also produces that sharp S sound like in "see". So this is massive props to Rustage for finding a way to sneak that in. Oh and also, Metagross, Metal is Gro-Ess-Tsett.
And i tried finding a way to add Ess-Tsett into this breakdown but I know it'd be impossible to add on mobile so deal with the full name, sorry.
- Mossdeep, when they buried below
I could actually find nothing regarding Mossdeep and being buried aside from maybe part of the city still in the water after the meteor crashing down and creating Sootopolis? It's a stretch but it's honestly the best I got. Aside from the small abundance of Ground types you fight in the city from Tate and Liza (the gym leaders of Mossdeep) and Team Magma in the Space Center in Emerald.
- Colour coded, gems noted
Every gemstone that exists has a name and colour correlated to that name. Like how sapphires are blue, emeralds are green, rubies being red, etc. And as a geologist, you have to recognize these shades where you can look at it and label what gemstone it is
- Bones goated, they got scoliosis
I'm glad I caught this once you mentioned Cradily's name and looked into it further, and I knew it was Cradily but I was thinking too hard about the bar. Cradily is classified as a *barnacle*. And what are barnacles made of? Hard calcium plates that best resembles bones, hence why Cradily is part Rock type. And since Barnacles help the environment and play a crucial role in the sea by eating plankton, this partially explains why Cradily is also part Grass type. Overall nice bar here. Oh and scoliosis has nothing to do with the bar aside from Rustage dissing you, yes you random person on the internet, about heaving weak bones while his are goated, the best.
- Skarmory, eye's killer
Skarmory is strictly carnivorous as they need to eat a lot to maintain the iron body they proudly own, a low amount of iron from feeding means the armour will be weak and that Skarmory will not live long enough. Aside from that little tidbit (like Skarmory having a killer's eye to spot prey), the nest half of this bar is a little messy. There are 5 possible stretches that will probably be all wrong;
1. A song by the name of Killer's Eyes
2. The Eyeball Killer, Charles Albright, who recently passed away in 2020 for the crimes he committed
3. A movie by the name The Killer Eye
4. Eye Killer - the gift of gab - or pursuing others effortlessly
5. Predator like how Skarmory is
- Training express like a crime thriller
This might back me up one of the points i made previously. But as for the training bit, oh boy was this a rollercoaster to try and look for;
IN THE FUCKING MANGA, Pokemon Adventures, ORAS Chapter; Steven enlisted the help of the 3 main protagonists Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire along with the help of Utima (whoever the *fuck* that is) to train the dex holders Chic, Sceptile, and Mumu (i gave up trying to understand the manga) in learning how to mega evolve (either use it on Pokemon or use it themselves (again, i gave up trying to understand it)). This was the small training arc that I could find from the manga and I'm pretty damn sure Steven instead explains his training stuff in the games.
And part 2 which will be another verses
I love the breaks down about ubers and how busted that mon is because I actually understand that stuff ironically enough

Not only is Diantha the champion of the Kalos region, but she's also a hit actress in the region
- Screaming my name, throwing a Tyrantrum
Possibly meaning that her fans adore her so much that they're like a Tyrantrum? Causing a lot of noise due to size? I tried really hard to come up with a bar here to make it fit but the inclusion of trying to name flip Tyrantrum (Rock/Dragon fossil Mon) did not work here. I'm sorry Chi-Chi
- Want more of us, Crowds Aurorus
Again, the name flip did not work here but I did try and catch what she meant. Aurorus is an Ice/Rock type fossil Mon, but it's the name flip that's the catch here. In the context given, Chi-Chi might have tried and said that the crowd "adores us" or "is 'round us" since the words right before it are "Got the fame". And i like how you mentioned "A roar" since i didnt even think of that which backs up the previous line of mentioning Tyrantrum, which both mons learn Roar, a phasing move with -6 priority so it's one of the last to move.
- Shining these stones like Xerneas
Ok ok ok. We stan Chi-Chi here but holy fuck did I NEVER hear anyone pronounce Xerneas (Zer Nee Us) the way she did. But moving onto the bar, Xerneas is the god of life, like how i explained in the Legendaries Cypher, and how its horns glow when this power is in effect. Along with this, Diantha also has a ton of shiny objects with her (that I've seen in the game at least) due to her professions, hence why her "stones", or jewelery, glow like Xerneas when using Geomancy.
- Billin higher than a Scorsese
The ONLY thing I was about to find was Martin Scorsese, the direction behind Goodfellas and motherfucking Shark Tale. Aside from that, Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Project is collection that bills around $100. Aside from that, i don't know what a scorsese is since i live in a box.
- Going Mega but don't change me
Some Pokemon change typings once they Mega Evolve;
Aggron: Rock/Steel > Steel
Audino: Normal > Normal/Fairy
Charizard X: Fire/Flying > Fire/Dragon
Gyarados: Water/Flying > Water/Dark
Pinsir: Bug > Bug/Flying
Sceptile: Grass > Grass/Dragon
Mewtwo X: Psychic > Psychic/Fighting
Ampharos: Electric > Electric/Dragon
Altaria: Dragon/Flying > Dragon/Fairy
Lopunny: Normal > Normal/Fighting
Whereas the rest of the mega mons, stay the same typing, and Diantha's ace, Mega Gardevoir, falls in the latter category.

Ty Wild/Lance:
- Draco with a beam
Typical gun bar by Ty. But many, if not, all, Dragon type Pokemon learn Hyper Beam due to the sheer amount of damage they have resided in them. But since it's a useless move, we don't care about that. We only care for the gun bars
- Gyarados, Intimidate, hit it later
Gyarados has the Intimidate ability which reduces the Attack of the opposing Mon(s) by 1 stage (-1 Attack) and is widely considered one of the best abilities in the game by competitive players and VGC players alike. But also maybe a (hidden) nod to Pe$o's verse on the 2019 Pokemon Cypher, "She said I'm a water type when I pulled out that Gyarados". And i know y'all ain't innocent enough to know that bar
- Clair my hoe
Clair is Lance's cousin that got overshadowed by him due to him landing to be the Dragon *Master* opposing to the title that Clair holds, *the* Dragon *Tamer*. That last part may be a little flimsy but Clair and Lance being related and cousins is cannon. But Clair is fine so who can blame him for overlooking that.
- Need an Emilia, Milly "A Milli"
Emilia is a side character from the Detective Pikachu move, a reported from the film. That's all I was able to find.
As for the "Milly, 'A Milli'" bar;
A Milly is "an Evangelical woman/a girl with no ethnical background"
And "A Milli" which is Lil Wayne's biggest single to date (i think).
- Hydreigon, try attacking
Hydreigon was *the* biggest threat in UU for years to come due to the sheer power and destruction it brings with its stats alone, much less the amount of moves it gets and items it can make use of. Spawning various sets for different situations. Hence the, "try attacking" section of that bar. But also a name flip for the move "Tri Attack", which Hydreigon learns due to its 3 heads
- Flashing Cannons
Flash Cannon is a Special Steel type move that Hydreigon can also learn, and often runs, to counter Fairy Types. Also pewpew bar

DaWolf/Iris:
- Nothing's black and white
Pokemon title flip, BW/BW2. Whereas Iris is present in both but plays a different role in both. Iris was moreso a side character in BW, whereas she became the champion in BW2. But DaWolf is saying that not everything in life is separated into 2 categories, there will always be more than 2 sides of every coin.
- Drew the gun, Focus Blast
Druddigon is a Pokemon under Iris' belt as well, so that right there is how one name flips a mon. But Druddigon also terrorized the lower tiers in the competitive scene due to being a Dragon type too, so movesets, stats, everything. Learning Focus Miss, i mean Focus Blast as well.
- Sheer Force, Break the Mold
Druddigon learns BOTH of these abilities although Mold Breaker is its hidden ability. What each one does is as follows;
Sheer Force: Negates secondary effects in order to add more damage to the move.
(Negates Life Orb recoil, Flinches from Rock Slide, Defense drops from Crunch, etc etc.)
Mold Breaker: Negates the abilities of everyone on the field, ally and foe alike.
(Bypasses Wonder Guard, Levitate, etc etc)
- Chip Away at the little score
Chip Away is a Physical Normal type move that ignores the opponent's stat changes (in this case, Defense and Evasion). It's pretty damn useless overall and VERY forgetful.
- I'm up 4 / Elite of course
Flip of how Iris became the champion of Unova in the span of a year since BW and BW2 came out a year between each other, direct sequels.
- Drop a Guillotine
Guillotine is the most well known OHKO move in Pokemon, as there are 4 in total (including this one). And in order for the OHKO move to work, the following must be met:
- Higher level than the target, or equal
And there's a hidden tech behind it where every level difference between the OHKO move user and target (in favor of the OHKO user), the user gets an extra 1% accuracy on the OHKO move.
- Better cut it short / I'm in Crunch mode
Cut it short because I'm tight on time, crunching time. But Crunch is also a Dark Physical move that was introduced in Gen 2. The move has a 20% chance to lower the Target's Defense by 1 stage (-1 Defense)
- Not a Fire type but my dragons know
There are only 3 Dragon/Fire type mons (one being a Mega, the other an Uber, and the last being forgettable). But almost all Dragon type Pokemon know a Fire type move, from Sunny Day to Ember to Fire Blast. A good chunk, of not all, know a Fire type move.
- Dragons know / i got a hold on em like a Life Orb
The Life Orb item is probably the most prominent item in competitive Pokemon as it gives your Pokemon a 30% boost at the cost of a 10% HP drop. But the ratio is perfect for sweepers like Haxorus, Hydreigon, Druddigon, and others. But mostly used on Dragon types due to the availability of Dragon Dance.
- No Draco let it spray like a Meteor
Draco Meteor is one of the BEST Dragon moves in the game due to the sheer power and how safe it is to throw out on any neutral target. The move is a Special Dragon type move. The only downside is that it isn't as spamable due to the move lowering the user's Special Attack stat by 2 stages (halving the Special Attack stat). Also, pewpew reference
- Automize
Automize is a Steel type status move that boosts the user's speed by 2 (doubling the speed stat) and becoming half the weight it is. This is useful for heavy mons like Duraludon (Steel/Dragon) where Low Kick deals less damage since Low Kick takes into account the Pokemon's weight for the damage.

Mat4yo/Alain
- B sharp when I hit the right Key Stone
Bisharp is a Steel/Dark type mon that was pretty ok overall in the competitive scene. Threatening once it got Defiance but still ok overall. Hence the name flip. Oh and Alain was probably the first person in the Pokemon anime to show off Mega Evolution and swept Ash with it. Also because Mega Evolving at the right time in the competitive scene means everything since you can outplay your opponent with the type changes or stat changes.

Clever name flip here where Tyranitar's name is used since it is a tyrant Pokemon in the sense where it hasn't dropped down from OU once, except for in Sword and Shield. Tyranitar was a behemoth of a Pokemon and always posed as a threat as a defensive and offensive Mon.
- Alain, toughest claws
Alain's ace, Mega Zard X, has the Tough Claws ability which boosts any contact moves by 30%. And with the arsenal that Zard X can bring? It was pretty much damn near impossible to stop. Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Flare Blitz, and Outrage/Dragon Claw was the standard set that threatening OU.
- Colour burns the hottest / read Zard's lips
For those who don't know, Blue flames is the hottest flame every known to date. It burns from red, orange, white, sky blue, solid blue.
- Mission complete like Zygarde
Like how I said the the legendaries cypher, Zygarde is broken up into cells which makes up the Complete Form, or 100%.
- A be sweeping to XYZ
Alphabet flip with AB - XYZ. Not only that but it can also be a Yu-Gi-Oh reference with the monsters AB and XYZ that Kaiba used and was a popular deck in real life. As for the Pokemon reference, Alain has been sweeping his competition as he had shown with Ash during his Kalos run. And how terrifying his team is along with how busted Megas were if you built the right team.
- Speeding up fast / raps get more than a Dragon to Dance
Here's a good reference of 2 things. Talonflame, Gale Wings more specifically, and Dragon Dance.
Gales Wings: Gives all Flying type moves +1 priority. And this was locked behind one of the most threatening Pokemon in the OU tier back in XY when this was BUSTED, Talonflame. The ability nowadays is absolute SHIT because it now only works when you're at full HP opposing to when it just gave Talonflame a free +1 to every flying type move like in XY, no matter the HP you were at.
And Dragon Dance comes into play because of the latter half of the bar, simply naming it. But Mat also references his fast rapping in his previous cypher verses which got progressively faster with each feature but slowed it down for this one.
- Go ham, Meatier Mash
Meteor Mash was Metagross' signature move, a Physical Steel type move that has a 20% chance to increase the user's attack stat. And the name flip again to have Meteor have the same category spelling as Ham but keep the same annunciation as Meteor.
- Who needs Team Flare when you're creamating Ash
Moreso a diss towards how trash Ash is when he got swept by Alain and his Mega Zard X. Also a reference back to the hottest flames since Blue flames has the potential to creamate due to how hot it is compared to the other flame colours.

Sailor/Cynthia:
- Name's been all around the world
Cynthia, in the games, has made small appearances as shown in BW where she was in Undella Town for "vacation" and you had to battle her at some point, triggering PTSD in some players or instilling fear in others. And I'm sure there isn't one person who doesn't know who Cynthia is as she is the most popular champion and female character in all of Pokemon

Again, a nod to Cynthia's popularity in the real world and how the creators know about it too. Cynthia is just built different.

Cynthia rarely wears anything but her signature coat, which is all black, as that is what makes Cynthia...Cynthia. Aside from her Garchomp, Lucario, Spiritomb, theme music, etc. And at funerals, you have to wear all black to show respect and as an act of mourning (in ancient Rome times)

Spiritomb Dex entries state that it is made up of 108 souls before becoming a Pokemon. So a spirit can become a Pokemon if there's 108 of them? What about the ones that are missing 1? Does that mean that your soul is the 1 that is missing to make another Spiritomb for Cynthia?
- Study whatcha got
I assume, in the anime, Cynthia learns from her opponents and plans accordingly. But also how in BDSP (Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl) she learns with each rematch, whether you fail or pass and adjust the AI accordingly.

I'm sure we all admire Cynthia for her portrayal in the anime and games in how smart she is. But she possibly sees that as gawking and thinking we're thirsty for her like how Brock is in the anime; falling for any living and breathing female that shows up, from Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny, to Cynthia herself.

While yes some of the Pokemon community is horny for Cynthia, it's also a tease (?) in the way how Sailor worded everything. "Craving what I brought" but also a good reference, and backing up the last Brock line since Brock cooked for Ash and co during their travels, by following it up with "Hungry" right after and "Chomp" from Garchomp, her ace. It's a whole roundabout way of horny and hungry and it's perfect.

No Chance, see? It's a classic Chansey name flip, you caught this during stream too. But Leon's team was ok during the games, all I know is that I swept the man with a +6 Attack, +6 Speed Dragapult during the game.
Fun thing: "Shao Down noise" is the exact frame I landed on and what was said for the subtitles. I never noticed that until now
- Let me cut them down with an Aegislash
Aegislash was another one of the top 3 threatening mons back in XY due to the sheer utility it had. Mostly because of it's ability but also because of it's signature move, King's Shield. It even got banned to Ubers in XY as well. In XY, any contact move lowered the attacker's Attack stat by 2 stages (halving their Attack). But it got nerfed in SwSh (Sword and Shield) by having the Attack lowering be lowered by 1 instead of 2. Effectively killing the move and the reason people ran Aegislash and cared for it, now using a Choice Specs set and using it for free damage.
Oh and Aegislash is a Shield and Sword at the same time. Weird but very cool design
