If only it had stabilization, I would not have used any other lens other than the Sigma Trio and a telephoto but alas, its not perfect without a gimbal :(
I’m a bigger fan of the sigma lens. I tend to set mine to manual focus to make it more fixed focus ( 30mm tends to zoom in and out when you move around)
Hey big guy! This review was awesome, thx! What mix was attached to this camera, your audio was great!! I’m filming in my room and i can hear my A/C in the video. 🤦🏽♀️

@@blossomramos Thanks! my first video on my page focuses on a few different mics. I don’t have any videos on post processing though. Maybe have to add that to future content
I believe that was a k&f concept VND in a 72mm with and adapter ring to fit the sigma 30. At that time the largest lens I had was a 72mm thread so I had adapter rings to fit the other lenses
The lens is a 52mm so get that or larger with an adapter ring to fit what ever size filter you get. I would recommend going larger to accommodate larger lenses you might get in the future.
I love your videos. I am thinking of starting a youtube cooking show. Is this a good lens to use for youtube cooking videos. If yes, do I use it for b-roll only or I can use it for both a and b roll. Should I buy an extra sigma 30mm lens if I already have sigma 16mm lens or I should go with a gimbal like zhiyon webbil S at similar price point which I don't have ?
I guess that depends more on your direct needs, but I can tell you for me, I bought a gimbal before I bought the 30mm lens. I started with a Zhiyun crane V2 and upgraded to the Weebill S after that. I have a weebill s video on my channel if you wanna check that out

Greetings Kyle, this was a great review and I got a lot out of it. I've got a question for you if you're willing to entertain; I've had a lot of focus issues with this lens using it for studio video. The focus seeks and jumps considerably. (Wide focus zone, f4-ish, 1/50, ISO 400) I've tried every focus zone, every AF setting and I can't get it to stop seeking. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
When I used to use mine for studio shots it kinda did the same thing. The camera locked into face tracking but if you move around a bit it looks like it zooms in and out and got kinda distracting. What I did was if I knew I wasn’t going to show the camera anything I would just set the focus and leave it in manual focus. Other wise I end up using a wider lens which still kinda does the same thing but less noticeable.
Not sure what 50mm you’re referring to but the sigma 30 does have a decent amount of barrel distortion. It’s a quick fix in light room with the lens correction feature.
@@darionjames5380 there isn’t much distortion on that lens at all. So by comparison the sigma 30 has more barrel distortion. Keep in mind the Sony 50 is a 80mm equivalent
Subbed :) and any recommendations for gimbals? Looking to get one soon. I’m using a 6400 and lenses with no stabilization and want to get into making video too, thanks!
Video is coming up but I’m currently using the Zhiyun Weebil S and it’s the perfect gimbal for the a6400. Not to big, not to small. Plus that low slung mode is awesome.
It was just a step up adapter (52-77) I got off Amazon. Although if you don’t mind spending a bit more, the ones from polarpro have grip grooves on theirs and are kinda nice to be able to hold while screwing off the ND filter.I believe those are like $39

Of course. We had like 4 videos just in the galaxys edge area. Unfortunately covid hit and Disney closed right when we were releasing the videos so the views just completely stopped
The reason mine is a 72 was to fit on my other lenses. You wanna get a filter that fits your biggest lens and get step up rings for your other lenses. Technically if it’s a little oversized it actually helps reduce cross polarizing (looks like vignetting)

Hello I was wondering something. Im not sure if the Lumix G7 is full frame or a aps-c. Do you know? And would this lens work with it?
