Les Paul guitars are well over priced and that, without justification; considering materials and labor (or craftsmanship). They do sound nice but c'mon now! Does that truly warrant a 4 to 6 thousand dollar price tag? It's a log guitar for the love of gawd!
Instead if picking at the finish, SAND the excess off with FINE grit sandpaper. It is HIGHLY unlikely that the finish will chip in the process of sanding and by eliminating the lip of finish you eliminate the possibility that the finish will catch on something and chip off.

Slash kicks major ass!
@@garyhundsrucker7771 I heard Axl can't see his nana nana nana nana knees.
Beautiful spec! I love the darker back and the no pick guard. I feel like the gold finish looks darker on this one!
Lol, a little Dethklok on that Slash to brighten everyone's day.
ur playings getting smoother man keep it up
I'm glad I'm not a Les Paul player. Think of the $$ I save. I love the way they look though. Looking is free!
Same - I spent a bunch of time in the Sam ash in NYC. Played every guitar in the store, was not impressed
Slash confirmed this goldtop for 2021 in the Sweetwater Gearfest interview!!!
skiddy bo bap boo badoop
Not a huge Slash or goldtop fan but that one is really nice. And it has a nice throaty tone too.

Always love it when Trogly brings the ROCK!
Lucky Austin!
Greetings Austin! You seemed to be having a great time playing that guitar, if you find a guitar that inspires you to play, it’s a good sign it is a keeper. If I were you, I would hang on to that one. I tend to keep any instrument that inspires me to play and to create new music. It is definitely one of the more beautiful gold tops I have seen, I usually prefer seeing some wood grain, but I am not totally against a nice paint job. Thank you posting this video! Please have an excellent and awesome day! 🙂👍
8:19: SP, "Slash Prototype"
Looks like a 5 to me but I guess it could be an SP.
We might see S or 5 but he being the closest says SP.
Funny part is the guitar on AFD isn't a LP, it's a knockoff made by a Luthier, I forgot his name but his shop is in Camarrillo Ca.
Les Paul guitars are well over priced and that, without justification; considering materials and labor (or craftsmanship). They do sound nice but c'mon now! Does that truly warrant a 4 to 6 thousand dollar price tag? It's a log guitar for the love of gawd!
I buy Epiphone Explorer, V, LP guitars and they play and sound great.
I am also not a huge fan of gold tops, but this one is pretty nice looking. If this does end up coming out I'll have to go try a few out.
that sound is nasty ! is it an overdriven amp ? or modeled ?
what a surprise.. never expected Gibson to release a Slash signature Les Paul
I have a family member who lives next door to Slash...I can ask?
I wish you would!
YES!!! I'm at the Trogly show!!!
I guess that went fast for your “crazy price”
thanks for pointing that out - there was an error in the listing! reverb.com/item/34269629?_aid=growsumo&gs_partner=Trogly
Instead if picking at the finish, SAND the excess off with FINE grit sandpaper. It is HIGHLY unlikely that the finish will chip in the process of sanding and by eliminating the lip of finish you eliminate the possibility that the finish will catch on something and chip off.
Oh yeahh, my daily dose of a guitar that i can't afford 🤣
If not from the control cavity, you can see if it is a flame top from the pickup cavity, just look at the side of the Maple.
Oh wow I’m the second viewer ha
