This may sound weird but I wright the expiration date on the can lid with a sharpie so I can actually read it. Especially with things I don’t use a lot or when I have a lot of something ( corn) so I make sure I use the oldest first.
What if you used the "Pantry" for other things in your kitchen and use all your over head cabinets for a pantry? You might actually have more space since they are not as deep. Use the pantry for dishes, bowls, baking items? Just a thought. I love redoing peoples kitchens!
Budgeting better with my groceries has been on my mind with the rising prices. This kind of video is very helpful for me and I am sure many other people right now. I try to budget best I can but I know I can always learn. I’m making lots of food for my cooking channel so I use a lot of food, so every penny I can save on groceries counts. I hope that we can continue to learn from each other. Never stop learning and growing!
I love the dollar tree soda can holders for canned goods. I'm just finishing my pantry and this idea is perfect for my small shelves. Thanks for sharing!!!
They're called Essentials Plastic Fridge Soda Can Storage Organizers Item # 235333 Looks like they're backordered on Dollar Tree's website right now but they can be ordered in cases of 24 count either ship to store or ship to you.
I love those can holders!! I use them in the pantry as well as the fridge at home and in the camper. It's perfect for the little things that get lost. Also for the envelopes like side dishes or taco mix. There's a thousand uses!!
I did this but we added a small strip of wood at the bottom of each shelf in front of the bins and it keeps anything from rolling out onto our toes. It works great too!
I love your solution. I am hoping to find the soda can storage containers. Thanks for sharing your concept. I’m a mom of six and I need some organizational ideas.
Looks so much better! I remember when I finally organized my pantry how it was so easy to see what I needed......of course it was after I bought multiples of certain items......like you did with the corn. Great job and I think the top shelf looks pretty good!
I ad to laugh at the cans of corn. This is real life organizing. We all have something we ended up with way too much of :) I turned my coat closet, which is right around the corner from my fridge, into a pantry, but it does need more organizing. I need to go to DT and get some bins lol tfs 💐🍃🌷🌹🌸🍀🌞🌵🏜️💐🌾🌱🌿🐣☔💐🍃🌷🌹🌸🍀🌞🌵🏜️💐🌾🌱🌿🐣☔
Me and my moms pantry we use clear cubes for storage and for more extra storage she uses one of my old book cases as a pantry lol it actually looks pretty cute
Yes I was thinking about expiration dates. Good job on this organization. I moved my pantry to shelves in my utility room and it's so much better. Your pantry looks really good now. I don't think you need to buy anything except produce and meat for quite awhile!
I think most of us struggle with keeping our pantries organized, I know I do. I like your ideas & think I'll give them a try. I've tried so many different things that work in the beginning but later fail {mostly because other household members don't/won't keep it up LoL}. I'm planning on trying again but it's an all day project & it's easier to do when I'm home alone.
You would have so much more usable space if you removed those shelves and mounted shelves in your closet. It’s very easy to do. Thanks for sharing your project. I’m def getting some of those can holders!
Well done! The pantry looks great but I do have one suggestion for you.....on the top shelf I saw you put packets of something behind the blue cartons...I'd suggest you put the packets in front of the blue cartons just so that whatever is in the packets is visible rather than hidden by the cartons. For me...out of sight ALWAYS results in out of mind....so I need the packages in front of the cartons.
I love your space. I've seen that some have used shoe organizers on the inside/back of the door. That might give you some extra space to store stuff too. Either way, it looks great!! 😁
Yes, great idea! 😊💖 I've adopted the shoe organizer for many a project...coat closet: gloves & hats, pet walking supplies; craft room: art supplies, rolls of ribbon, tissue paper, small gift bags; pantry: gravy packets, taco mix, spices... The possibilities are endless...Happy Organizing everyone!
I keep an inventory of what I have in my food supplies...... printed out and kept on the inside of the door ..... when I take something out I mark it off ...... if it is something that I know that I will want/need to replenish/replace in the future I put it on a "shopping in the future" list ...... also, I make a note of which shelf it is on ...... I also keep a running tally of what I have in my freezer ...... I do the same with my supplies of cleaning product, toiletries, etc. My master is in my computer using excel ..... easy to update the master list of supplies and the master list for shopping.
Great job I also have a spare closet which is my junk closet and I’m planning on making it a pantry. Where did you get the shelves from? That’s exactly what I need
So much better! You are so right. It comes in steps and very few months it seems we have to readdress everything for clutter factor and where we have gotten lazy putting things away.

I bought a bunch of the can organizers from dollar store about a year ago after seeing a couple videos. They must have changed the plastic. The sides don't hold up and if more than 5 cans are put in one they fall all over.
I love it! I’m frugal and a single mom. You did a fabulous job! Way to go mom ❤❤❤
I really like what you did. Those can organizers are great
This may sound weird but I wright the expiration date on the can lid with a sharpie so I can actually read it. Especially with things I don’t use a lot or when I have a lot of something ( corn) so I make sure I use the oldest first.
Great idea! I'm going to do that too! Thanks for sharing that!
I think I'll do the same. Great tip.
Will Do That!!
This, my friend, does not sound weird at all. It is genius! I make sure to use the oldest first too.
🙋🏾♀️I do too. Practically everything, especially edible items is marked.

I think your pantry turned out really good! I agree.. once the space is organized, you really do have a better idea exactly what you have!👍
I love the dollar tree soda can holders for canned goods. I'm just finishing my pantry and this idea is perfect for my small shelves. Thanks for sharing!!!
i had the same issue too with corn...so universal...love your ability to persevere
You did a great job! Deeper shelves can be hard to manage. Don’t forget an over the door holder to add even more storage! 😊❤️
I think it looks great. I've never seen those can organizers at my Dollar Tree but need to look for them.
mine just finally got them !!!

Wow....i thought I had a small pantry. U really made the space work....great job

Tip:. Put the pancake mix and all things on top in canisters. There's some very cool ones in Walmart and Amazon 😃 great video!
Looks so much better! I remember when I finally organized my pantry how it was so easy to see what I needed......of course it was after I bought multiples of certain items......like you did with the corn. Great job and I think the top shelf looks pretty good!
It looks way better and you can see everything you have
Not so much on that top shelf
I take a laundry basket to transport everything to the counter, saves a lot of time.

I use lazy Susan’s in our small pantry, which works well to be able to see everything at a glance.
Great job adapting and pushing thru. 🥰🐞🤗
Me and my moms pantry we use clear cubes for storage and for more extra storage she uses one of my old book cases as a pantry lol it actually looks pretty cute
You did a great job you should put shelves over the door it will give you a lot more space more space to put things
I remember when you first bought those soda can holders! I am feelin' old, now! LOL! Great job!
Looks great; you did an awesome job!! Love those can holders!
You did a great job organizing your pantry!

Looks great! Btw, love your glasses and your canisters behind you ❤️

Thank you for sharing! Great idea. I was thinking to use it for only soda cans and wondered what else can I use it for.
Good job!!! 🥳
Great idea! Loved how this turned out!😊
Love your space ! I dont have a full pantry like that 😪...I so wish I did. Love what you've done !! Very pretty kitchen !😊..Blessings to you!
Looks very nice, Kieren!
You did a great job! I bet that felt great. 😁
My boxes I lay them down and stack on top, get more room
You could also get some hanging shelved/baskets on command hooks behind the door.
How many cans are you able to fit into one organizer without having them to fall out to the front
L💖VE these organization videos!! 😊

Looks great!
Great job! If this doesn’t work, maybe try pull-out shelving.
Your pantry was a broom closet. As a pantry it’s a Better use of space!
It looks very nice
Great idea! Thanks 😊
Almost 100,000. Congratulations!
You did great!
Thank you💕
Now I need to go to Dollar Tree. I hope they still have the can holders. 🤣 And I’m wondering if corn was for dinner after. 🌽😊
Great job❣️
Great video. I’ve been looking for a solution to organizing my cans, Thank you.
Use a door spice rack. It looks like you have the room as the shelves are inset some.
Looks good, but if still not functional, maybe try moving your dishes and glassware to the pantry and putting your food in the cabinets.
Do the soda can organizers stack? You may show this later in the video.
I wish I could find these at my loc dollar tree
I buy fresh or frozen. I don’t have a lot of can goods except cream of soups, salmon few others things
I wonder if items are regional. I've searched across town to multiple stores with no luck finding the can organizers.
So much better! You are so right. It comes in steps and very few months it seems we have to readdress everything for clutter factor and where we have gotten lazy putting things away.
I've searched like crazy for those can organizers! I did end up finding plastic baskets at target that work pretty well though!
Same. My Dollar Tree never carries them.
Can you share the item number?

I can't find the soda can bins in dollar tree website. Do they still sell them on store?
Do you date your can / box. foods for quick read?
Has it been a year and a half since you moved into this house? Wow!
I know! Time has gone by so quickly!
Hi cousin!! Long time no see, love the video!! (Its Allison)
Hi! Thanks for watching! Please tell everyone that I say hello!
@@ThriftedLiving Ofc!!
Where did you get those cute pig containers?
What are you using for storage....the name of storage
I cannot find these can organizers in store or online! Help
I have seen them recently at my local Dollar Tree stores.
How can I stack my pop top cans
I noticed you have Grandma Brown Beans…are you from Western NY? 🤣
I am not, but Grandma Brown Beans are sold where I live. I am relatively close to Western NY. (They are sooo delicious!)
What is the item number/sku of these organizers?
Slow down..you talk too fast..l think your content my be good...but impossible to understand.
Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!
It is true, you do find out that you have way too much of some items.
Omg! These can organization. Probably do not exist anymore
I actually have seen them recently at my local Dollar Tree stores!
The video is way to slow and I didn’t even have caffeine yet!😵💫
Thanks for watching!
I got anxiety watching the pantry piled up
Thank you for watching!
4 minutes in and I've learned nothing besides what people call disco music in two hundred thousand and four
Omg! These can organization. Probably do not exist anymore
