Edna Mode - She is a Ravenclaw! I feel very strongly about this. She is driven by the intellectual challenge of designing for the Supers. She is incredibly thoughtful about her designs for each member of the family, solving challenges that come with each person’s individual powers. She gets a thrill out of solving the “tricky” problem of designing a fabric that will vanish when Violet does, for example. She is NOT trying to “collect” Supers. When she refuses to put a cape on Bob’s suit it is for a very logical, thoughtful reason. She doesn’t try to appease Bob’s ego to get in his good graces, she refuses because that would be the wrong design for him. She is successful, not because she is ambitious, but because she is truly the best at what she does BECAUSE she is so thoughtful about how she approaches it.
I agree, The thing that drives Edna is the challenge and puzzle of designing around the super's powers, personalities, and combat conditions (the cape thing). That's a very Ravenclaw way of looking at things.

I would say Mulan is a Ravenclaw (she solves every problem by finding a clever alternate solution overlooked by others) and Ariel is a Hufflepuff (a curious explorer) - she's neither clever nor ambitious, although she is VERY strong-willed Tiana - Slytherin (very ambitious, willing to "do what it takes" to make those ambitions succeed) Rapunzel - Hufflepuff - gentle-spirited healer who makes friends with everyone and just wants everybody to get along Anna - Gryffindor - bold, impulsive, puts self in harms way multiple time for Arendelle and for Elsa Elsa - Slytherin - she values control and reputation above everything else Moana - Gryffindor - brave - her compassionate heart sparks her to ACTION, and she puts the collective good before everything else
I think that Ben was right. Merida is slytherin. She comes up with the archery contest among the firstborn children to win her hand knowing that she qualifies and can compete, which is cunning AF.
"To the DEATH!" "No, to the pain." "To the pain?" “To the pain means this: if we duel and you win, death for me. If we duel and I win, life for you. But life on my terms. The first thing you lose will be your feet. Below the ankle. You will have stumps available to use within six months. Then your hands, at the wrists. They heal somewhat quicker. Five months is a fair average. Next your nose. No smell of dawn for you. Followed by your tongue. Deeply cut away. Not even a stump left. And then your left eye-" And then my right eye, and then my ears, and shall we get on with it?" the Prince said. Wrong!" Westley’s voice rang across the room. "Your ears you keep, so that every shriek of every child shall be yours to cherish-every babe that weeps in fear at your approach, every woman that cries 'Dear God, what is that thing?' will reverberate forever with your perfect ears.”

I feel like all the houses are qualities of dogs. Gryffindors are brave like dogs, Hufflepuffs are loyal like dogs, Slytherins are clever like dogs, and Ravenclaws are intelligent like dogs.
Hufflepuffs are an incredibly brave house because of their loyalty, thats why it becomes a gray area. The difference is hufflepuff don't do it for the glory. ie the battle of hogwarts
Yeah exactly. Gryffindors are more hot-headed, but Hufflepuffs are brave when it comes down to it. Hufflepuffs don’t wanna show off when they show bravery, they just wanna do what’s right.
Harry Potter and Sesame Street. “When Elmo gets sorted into Slytherin, the worst of his troubles are far from over... How will his fanbase react? What is the Muppet Hairy Rock? What is Prof. Squirrel doing?”

Merida is the Sirius of Brave. A Griffindor in a long line of Slytherins. Since the plot of the film is that she wants to dissasosiate herself from her family(specifically her mom) and you don't get any more anti-slytherin than refusing an opportunity for power(marriage into becoming queen). Idk I haven't watched Brave in a while.
But I think she wanted to earn power the way she wanted it - becoming queen/the prime minister/president aren't the only sources of power. Also power-seeking isn't one of the set traits of Slytherin - ambition is. That might involve wanting to find a cure for all ills, for example, which doesn't necessarily make you powerful, but it does make you ambitious. Nevertheless, it was important to her that she did life her way, herself, which you could actually say was very Slytherin. She refused to accept an offer that didn't match her personal ambitions. I do think she's probably Gryffindor, but I don't think refusing marriage was particularly un-Slytherin of her.
You will tell us the results, yes? Both for who wins and, like, how people voted? That'd be super bloody interesting, to see, like, what the trends are. (Sorry, stats nerds) Yes, this would be cool to see again (even if I sometimes end up whispering "Slytherinnnn" at my computer screen and make my cat look at me like I'm such a weirdo).
Edna Hatstall: Sorting Hat: hmm, where on earth could I put you? Edna: Oh, darling, you’re taken far too long. Just put me in Gryffindor. I give you one more minute, darling. Hat: Are you sure? Edna: I insist. Okay? Okay, goodbye.
Merida was very cunning in setting up the shooting for her own hand. Plus do you see Gryffindor cursing their own mother to force her to do their will? Slytherin
The first thing I thought was that Merida was indeed rather cunning (Slytherin) than Gryffindor. Sure she was a bit impulsive but hybris can be both Syth as Gryf. Cursing her mother ain't that royal to me... Her plan to fix it again is smarter.
She didn’t intentionally do that to her mother. She wanted to change her own fate. That’s like Harry blowing up Vernon’s sister in P.O.A. It was a mistake that was made in the heat of the moment
Merida starts out a slytherin, but like Dumbledore said, people may take the test too early. I do agree she is a gryffindor in the end, but the majority of the movie is what matters
No, dogs are most definitely Hufflepuffs. Dogs are super loyal, friendly, hard working and everything Hufflepuffs stands for. Also, people use dogs to find lost people, so definitely good finders too.
Antonia Sirotich No, Cinderella is most certainly Hufflepuff. She's loyal, hardworking-the main traits of Hufflepuff. I never once saw her being intelligent-creativity wasn't massively in her either. Aurora-well, she doesn't do much. But I don't see Ravenclaw in her either(from someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff but believes she is Ravenclaw)!
Rose Glover Ok, I'll give you Cinerella because she hard working, caring and kind (even tho every princess is kind) but I think that Aurora is ravenclaw because we dont see her very much, the only trait we see she has is curiosity (exept for kindness) and curiosity is a trait of ravenclaw
So I totally agree with Ben that Edna should be in ravenclaw!! I think her creating costumes for supers is in a way her collecting them, but unlike slughorn where he just collects students for his own personal gratification and doesn't do much to benefit them, Edna is so passionate about her work and creates the best suit to match each individual super's needs down to each tiny detail. I think the fact that she's so passionate and meticulous with her work and has perfected it to a tee makes her very Ravenclaw-esque! As to Jay's point about her reaction to Mrs. Incredible, I think that is more of a depiction of Edna's value of logic. In her Ravenclaw mind it is illogical for Mrs. Incredible to break down because that won't solve anything, thus she must "pull herself together"! I think if she was Gryffindor, she would be out fighting battles herself honestly! haha She's more of a "behind the scenes" kind of gal, but she takes her role very seriously.
I think she's tough in that she's got a lot going for her. I suspect Ravenclaw would be most people's initial gut reaction since she's clearly a genius. Her "no capes" policy is a good indicator of how she values intelligence She's also very ambitious and has made herself quite wealthy, but actually sees it as a step down since she used to design for "gods" as she said. She's clearly loyal, as she didn't rat the Parr's out to the government, although that could be part of her ambition, as well. She might have wanted them back in the hero game for her own benefit. She's brave enough to stand up to ElastiGirl and clearly values what the heroes do.

Mulan and Pocahontas- Gryffindor (brave, courage, sacrificing for love etc)
Sissy Dean
Nice.
and Moana is Gryffindor
How about Tiana, Rapunzel, Anna, and Elsa?
I would say Mulan is a Ravenclaw (she solves every problem by finding a clever alternate solution overlooked by others) and Ariel is a Hufflepuff (a curious explorer) - she's neither clever nor ambitious, although she is VERY strong-willed
Tiana - Slytherin (very ambitious, willing to "do what it takes" to make those ambitions succeed)
Rapunzel - Hufflepuff - gentle-spirited healer who makes friends with everyone and just wants everybody to get along
Anna - Gryffindor - bold, impulsive, puts self in harms way multiple time for Arendelle and for Elsa
Elsa - Slytherin - she values control and reputation above everything else
Moana - Gryffindor - brave - her compassionate heart sparks her to ACTION, and she puts the collective good before everything else
Ben. A Slytherin wearing a Hufflepuff scarf.

TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DrinkWaterOnce hahahaha
Kylo Ren did the same
I agree with you so much
Kaleb Pierce sorry to be picky, but I think you mean TR-8R when he calls Fin a traitor
I think the houses could also be based on the 4 male archetypes:
King: Slythrin.
warrior: Griffondor
Lover: Hufflepuff
Magician: Ravenclaw.
@Ali Malik maybe they try to bring peace? I love Hufflepuff as well. It is also my House
@Ali Malik I agree. I just tried to make it sound better.
Why is warrior lower case?
I think hufflepuff should be like a peasant or something
I like ravenclaw
I think that Ben was right. Merida is slytherin. She comes up with the archery contest among the firstborn children to win her hand knowing that she qualifies and can compete, which is cunning AF.
No she’s a ravenclaw
yup she is a total slytherin
She obviously a slytherclawdor
ThE mOViE is CaLlEd bRaVE
Yeah. She’s slytherin.
ben is a confirmed SLYTHERUFF!!!! welcome to the club mate... never been so proud
I love Mike's placement in the thumbnail! Lol
Whitney Redmon I didn't even notice!!! That's amazing!!!
Good observation 😂👌
Loyalty is between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, and cleverness is between Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
Slytherins are also loyal to other Slytherins.
Slytherins are loyal to those they care about and trust... Which is not many
When you're both loyal and clever:

"To the DEATH!"
"No, to the pain."
"To the pain?"
“To the pain means this: if we duel and you win, death for me. And then your left eye-"
And then my right eye, and then my ears, and shall we get on with it?" the Prince said.
Wrong!" Westley’s voice rang across the room. "Your ears you keep, so that every shriek of every child shall be yours to cherish-every babe that weeps in fear at your approach, every woman that cries 'Dear God, what is that thing?' will reverberate forever with your perfect ears.”
0:58 I don't know, for whatever reason this just reminded me of the book/movie. AS amazing as the movie is, book is 6 times better by the way. it's so funny.
Yes👌

"Gryffindors are basically dogs" proof that Ben is definitely Slytherin.
so true
Jonathan Ewing I think huddle puffs are dogs because they are incredibly loyal
Jonathan Ewing so true
I feel like all the houses are qualities of dogs. Gryffindors are brave like dogs, Hufflepuffs are loyal like dogs, Slytherins are clever like dogs, and Ravenclaws are intelligent like dogs.
Jonathan Ewing hahahahahaha
J: The movie is called *brave* .
Ben: Uh-huh.
J: **circling Gryffindor** What do Gryffindors value?
Ben: Red hair.
OMG YES! Seamus did something like this, and I have been waiting for someone to sort pixar characters
Thomas sanders
Seamus Gorman did it a while ago
Thomas Sanders and Brizzy Voices did a few crossover videos where they sorted Disney and Pixar characters
Hufflepuffs are an incredibly brave house because of their loyalty, thats why it becomes a gray area. The difference is hufflepuff don't do it for the glory. ie the battle of hogwarts
YES!!!!!
THANK YOU
FINNALY SOMEONE SAYS IT!
Aya Beydoun well gryffindor is the bravery house, so na
Yeah exactly. Gryffindors are more hot-headed, but Hufflepuffs are brave when it comes down to it. Hufflepuffs don’t wanna show off when they show bravery, they just wanna do what’s right.
Pixar? Harry Potter? Is there literally a better combination?
Yes
CatGirl0099 Yes. That combination is Harry Potter and Star Wars.
Or Harry Potter and Marvel
Super Jordan Reviews or Harry Potter and Harry Potter
Harry Potter and Sesame Street.

guys, no one cares if someone did a similar video before they did. most of the time creators are flattered they inspired someone else to discuss the same content. and it’s hard to credit one person when you aren’t sure who was the true originator of the idea was. just let it be and enjoy their interpretation of the game! 💛
Eye Am Always Watching - CKA Her brothers seem more like Slytherins to me.
sillysiblingstuff I wasn't saying that they weren't, them being Slitherins actually furthers my point that she's the Sirius of her family :P
Ece I agree that my reasoning and wording wasn't the most correct but I was trying to compare her to Sirius black more than anything.
It's Slytherin
Sorry, that just really bothers me...
"flufflepluff" I died!!!!!! I also lost it at "pull yourself together"!

'What are Gryffindores known for?' "Red hair" 😂couldn't stop laughing
You will tell us the results, yes? Both for who wins and, like, how people voted? That'd be super bloody interesting, to see, like, what the trends are. (Sorry, stats nerds)
Yes, this would be cool to see again (even if I sometimes end up whispering "Slytherinnnn" at my computer screen and make my cat look at me like I'm such a weirdo).

EDNA IS OBVIOUSLY A RAVENCLAW
Kim Henderson ikr she's so obvious about her smarts. NO CAPES!
Edna Hatstall:
Sorting Hat: hmm, where on earth could I put you?
Edna: Oh, darling, you’re taken far too long. Just put me in Gryffindor. I give you one more minute, darling.
Hat: Are you sure?
Edna: I insist. Okay? Okay, goodbye.
Merida was very cunning in setting up the shooting for her own hand. Plus do you see Gryffindor cursing their own mother to force her to do their will? Slytherin
Georgia M but I feel like she might be too trusting to be a Slytherin
The first thing I thought was that Merida was indeed rather cunning (Slytherin) than Gryffindor. Sure she was a bit impulsive but hybris can be both Syth as Gryf. Cursing her mother ain't that royal to me... Her plan to fix it again is smarter.
That was an accidental curse, she didnt mean to do it
cough sirius cough lmao XD
She didn’t intentionally do that to her mother. She wanted to change her own fate. That’s like Harry blowing up Vernon’s sister in P.O.A. It was a mistake that was made in the heat of the moment
Speaking of harry potter, y'all should make a video on where Hogwarts actually is geographically!

11:29 what Edna values most is the lack of capes. Everyone knows that!
Merida starts out a slytherin, but like Dumbledore said, people may take the test too early. I do agree she is a gryffindor in the end, but the majority of the movie is what matters

Felicity Slaughter Thank you so much!
Can you do a video sorting Star Wars characters into Hogwarts houses?
No, dogs are most definitely Hufflepuffs. Dogs are super loyal, friendly, hard working and everything Hufflepuffs stands for. Also, people use dogs to find lost people, so definitely good finders too.
"She didn't need to be ambitious because she is already on top", what kind of Slytherin says that?

10th Doctor: Allons-y!
11th Doctor: Geronimoooooo!
12th Doctor: SHUT UP!
Ben: Fascinating!

Ina Nierotka No.
Allons-y sorry had to be grammar police
Flareon Dude Thank you! I was actually wondering how to spell it.
Sort Disney Princesses/Princes Into Houses!!!!!
Hashim ThaDream Not necessarily a good idea. I think all the older princesses would be Hufflepuff!
Rose Glover That's not true. Snowhite maybe, but I think Cinderella is a ravenclaw and so is Aurora.
Yesssss!
Her "no capes" policy is a good indicator of how she values intelligence
She's also very ambitious and has made herself quite wealthy, but actually sees it as a step down since she used to design for "gods" as she said.
She's clearly loyal, as she didn't rat the Parr's out to the government, although that could be part of her ambition, as well. She might have wanted them back in the hero game for her own benefit.
She's brave enough to stand up to ElastiGirl and clearly values what the heroes do.
