Happy Canning!

My stomach refuses to deal with jalapenos….I wonder how it would deal with poblanos, I am not too current on different peppers and their heat index….
I just looked it up and they are halfway between bell peppers and jalapeno peppers. So it may still be too hot for you. For us, when I've used poblano peppers, it's a much more mild salsa. So if you can handle mild salsa, it would probably be okay for you. You could also use half bell peppers and half poblano.
Put a little sugar in you mixture, it should cut the heat a bit maybe????
Good idea! I'll have to give that a try.
Wonderful video. I stick to mild salsas...I'm a wimp. I would probably put poblamo in and maybe only one or two
I'm getting more wimpy by the day, so I can relate! You can even use bell pepper if you''d like.
Another great recipe for me to try. It’s quite coincidental I saw this today, as recently I have come across so many recipes that call for roasting vegetables. Because I do not have a a full size oven in my apartment - only a toaster oven, I have stayed away from those recipes. I just didn’t think I would be able to do it in my toaster oven. It’s wonderful to learn that I actually can. Can’t wait to try this one. I will add it to my list. Great video as always!!
I love that you can now make recipes with roasted vegetables! It helps that this is small batch, which in general I'm a fan of anyway. I hope this works well for you!
Have you had a good outcome with the jarred garlic? I have avoided using it.
It seems to work fine! I think fresh is always better, but it's good to have the jarred on hand, just in case.
Your husband's bible group timing was fortuitous for a chance to get opinions on the two salsas.😊 Roasted salsa is one of my favorites. I'll have to give this one a try. Question: Do you think you'll tweak the seasons on the next batch now that you know what the flavor profile is on this first batch?
Yes, it was good timing! And some of them are coming over tonight to watch the dabate, and they'll get more salsa and more of my strawberry lemonade. (Thank God for my pantry!!) I think I will keep everything the same but use poblanos or half poblano and half jalapeno next time. The flavor overall is really good, but we can no longer handle as much spice as we could previously.
@StockingMyPantry Mmmmm, strawberry lemonade sounds fantastic. I remember that video. Enjoy your little shindig! 😊 Thank you for your reply.
@@belindadunne4312 thanks! We had a good time and everyone brought snacks to share so it was very little work for me. :)
