    You only need the cherry Lola treatment only one time, because it is only to control webbing from your roots of your hair! I noticed that a lot of people that is using her treatment we’re abusing or over doing it. To much of anything is not good for you period.

    ok so it sounds like the problem was baking soda. so then why not just remove the baking soda?

    • @YurinanAcquiline
      @YurinanAcquiline 3 года назад +3

      Yeah, baking soda can lighten hair and it raises hair cuticles which can cause damage if used excessively.

    • @latisha334
      @latisha334 3 года назад +4

      It’s detrimental to high porosity hair because the cuticles are already raised

      @@LifeInTheSunshine baking soda is alkaline it raises the hair cuticle . It's bad for high porosity hair because the cuticle is already pretty raised. Acv is acidic and it helps close the cuticle, so using it is very good. As long as you don't use baking soda you're hair will be fine. Also if you try the method pls watch how your hair reacts and listen to it. If it doesn't like something don't use it. For example my hair hates avocados and all it took for me to realize it was 1 homemade hair mask

    You can use either baking soda or apple cider vinegar to clarify your hair. Using ACV doesn't strip your hair, is natural and would avoid most of those damaging effects...

    baking soda? what on earth-

  • @kalenaglory2483
    @kalenaglory2483 4 года назад +6

    I think it was the baking soda. Same thing happened to me back in 2018 had to cut it all off. Even with a fresh start my hair was never the same. Finally, in 2020 it’s getting back to a new normal. The new potential hair killer trend is Rice Water!

    sounds terrible so you're going to baking soda in your hair and then after you've already dried your hair with baking soda you're going to put bentonite clay on everything you just said sounds like a hair horror movie 😄

    That MHM jacked up my hair like no other, i warn everybody not to do it!
    I had to cut my hair off back in 2016 and it only started to recover a year ago in terms of health and flourishing.
    Notice how pinkecube, mzdeekay12, dubaidee4c and protective princess all slowly crept away from that mess? Pinkecube got peoples hair looking jacked up lol I wouldnt be surprised if she is bald headed now!

    30-35 minutes to detangle on a normal routine is long. I had box braids in one time and the braider used a gel at the root and it took me hours to detangle. Detangling conditioner and oil worked miracles

    If you continue to do it too much it's just like anything else too much of a good thing to be bad over moisturizing your hair is just as bad as under moisturizing it so that's what it sounds like when your problem to me you did it for 3 years probably way too much but the important thing is knowing your hair what he can do and what it needs good luck beautiful thick hair by the way

    Hey my Spelman little sister! class of '96! So my 15yo daughter has very tight and dry roots. I clay wash her hair maybe twice a year. I was thinking of doing the cherry Lola treatment but just once to lift her cuticles. Do you think your negative experience has to do with how often you were doing it? You ladies bring back great sisterhood memories 😊

    The baking soda w deep moisturizing conditioner on low porosity hair. Afterwards I got a basic silk press. When I try to reverse my hair. It was so damage. My hair had multi curl patterns. Some of my hair look texlaxed, texturized and bone straighten. The damage was terrible . it took 9 months course of time to cut all of the damaged hair out now my hair is ear length.

    The MHM should really be called the Mild Relaxer Method. Baking Soda acts as a natural mild relaxer. That is why the hair hangs lower and the curls are more defined after using it.

      @autumntee85 thats if you can find MsDeeKay! Go on her page and literally all traces of the MHM have been removed and she started to rock wigs! None of the heavy promoters of that method have survived the damage that was ahead of them. The only good thing I got from the MHM and still do to this day is the clay wash, my hair loves it. The rest of the steps all got deleted from my brain.

    Backing soda opens cuticles. If you aren't super low porosity you can over do it and over moisturize. You use backing soda on locs and it's really useful because you are waxing or rolling is clogging the pores and closing the cuticles and that's where it comes from. You didn't need it that's was the problem. You didn't need all the moisture and you didn't need to open your cuticles that often. This was made for brillo pad hair for that shit that onision said was frizzy crap. That stuff that look like cotton balls. That stuff that tyler perry made his wigs out of for a fall from grace. Not you.

    • @chs2385
      @chs2385 4 года назад +8

      onision is an abuser and predator and nobody has “Brillo pad frizzy crap hair”. Hair that looks like cotton can be soft if cared for. There’s no reason to let random nonblack people or men who don’t know anything about hair tell black women anything about their hair. I don’t mean this as an attack on you but we should always be wary about who we let set the narrative for black women. Onision ain’t it and neither is Tyler Perry
