I'm distracted by the fact that Krillin holding the spirit bomb makes the same sound as the ghosts from Pac-Man.

What's great about this moment is that it is a team effort, Goku gathers the energy for the spirit bomb, Krillin forms it and throws it, and Gohan rebounds it to hit Vegeta
Yeah, it was a team effort. You know what they say, teamwork makes the dream work. 😊 I would say too bad it wasn't enough to kill Vegeta, but I know the man goes on to have a great redemption arc, starting next saga.

@@Jake_Frozt Goku would've almost certainly died at Vegeta's hands, no question. Thank Kami Gohan and Krillin decided to go back when they did. They saved Goku's life. ❤️

@Peyton Robinson Same everybody bitches about her only because she isn't the actress they grew up with. But I honestly like Coleen's voice for kid gohan.
@Peyton Robinson The one criticism I do have for her is that her GT Goku sounds a little weird in xenoverse. I get she's trying to go for a deeper raspier voice like the old voice actress had but it just doesn't work. If I were her I'd stop trying to appeal to the 90s kids and just keep doing her own thing. The newest voice actress for Ash Ketchum is a good example. Instead of trying to imitate the old VA's voice she actually does phenomenal with her new voice.
This animation is what all of Kai should've have
That would’ve been amazing but it would have taken an incredibly long amount of time to do so, and would be too expensive.
They would've had to reanimate everything
They only redid damaged frames not much point to redo everything because it still holds up pretty well

In reality it happened in a nanosecond. All the fights are just slowed down so the viewers can follow.

Actually, this scene is present in Episode 35 from the original series as well, they just sped up some parts
The Vageta's Assault scene is, in fact, completely reanimated because the original footage of that scene has damaged frames.

The edits and music in this version are great and the scene is extremely satisfying. I really enjoy it!
I am always going to prefer the version in the 90's, where Vegeta getting nailed by the spirit bomb was a moment of quiet awe and horror. Watching it try to tear Vegeta apart while everyone stares in shock feels a lot different with this triumphant music.
Both are great, though. Just my opinion.

Also, Vegeta’s spirit bomb wasn’t even fully powered.
They were just some durable mfs. Had they had fully powered spirit bombs with enough donors, they would’ve been destroyed like buu.
@@wg6276 yeah but you have to consider that these are alien lifeforms. For all we know any one of them could have the untold power of the Sun at their fingertips. Also I'm fully aware that Vegeta was supposed to die. He avoided the first bomb and Goku only had enough borrowed energy to make one more that was significantly weaker and gave it to Krillin.

And that’s also the entire point… there was no extraordinary power at their finger tips, the power drawn for frieza’s spirit bomb was a lot yet considerably weaker than the spirit bomb for buu powered by all of the much stronger z fighters for the first time, plus the billions of earthlings

Nictoons Version Was Amazing
4kids cutted out the original music but nicktoons kept it in
I know this is a really ancient comment but 4Kids actually didn’t mess with the music for their broadcast of Kai. They just censored things even harder than Nicktoons did. The dub and music were mostly untouched save for a few lines being reworked.
