Definitely had a great feel to it. Nothing like a desperate dash for immortality and countless villains. Had some good strategic thinking involved too.
I miss this Vegeta, the ruthless barrage of attacks where he doesn’t give the enemy a second to react. Love the way he hits Captain Ginyu down to the ground then as his body bounces of the ground, that split second Vegeta appears underneath him and punches him up in the air, then smacks him back down to the ground and fires a plethora of Ki Blasts. So iconic of who Vegeta really is as a fighter. I don’t think any other fight with Vegeta truly personified this sort of fast pace relentlessness from him. He was just all over the place.
Ginyu definitely wanted vegetas body, but for a second when vegeta changed paths. Ginyu tried to throw a punch. After vegeta wrecked ginyu with this combo, I believe ginyu knew he had no chance of putting vegeta in submission first so tricking him was his only chance.
This was peak Vegeta combat before he let his ego get too far. He brutally rushed people. Like Recoome he did not give Ginyu much time to breathe with the initial attack. Whether Ginyu could or not, Vegeta was just that far up his ass. And for a nothing fight, this was well animated.

You do notice Ginyu is literally just letting Vegeta hit him and is constantly taunting him to make Vegeta hit him harder. He wanted Vegeta to fuck up his body so when they swapped the Z fighters wouldn't be able to fight back and he'd just kill them all

Also Vegeta is very egotistical and probably enjoyed smacking Ginyu around thinking he was so powerful Ginyu couldn't possibly fight back. He was too blinded by his ego to realize Ginyu was baiting him and just letting him smack him while waiting for a good opportunity to steal his body. Edit: In fact the reason Vegeta growls and charges Ginyu at the start of the video is because Ginyu had just finished taunting him and talking shit trying to get Vegeta to attack him

Vegeta got saved by Goku throwing the frog in the way making Ginyu accidentally swap with the frog instead
Yeah, Vegeta was weak af on Namek but he was easily the most brutal fighter on the planet at the time too. His brief beat downs of Ginyu and Rackoome were rapid and brutal as hell. Some crazy combinations those.

Nah vegeta didn't have his Brian Drummond voice here it's just that when this episode came out Chris sabat was just trying to imitate Brian Drummond but I guess funimation kept it in.
In some of the DBZ box sets the voices get changed, music get placed differently, lines get added, some get taken away and some get left in. Sometimes it switches from deep voice Chris Sabat to sounding like I'm watching my old VHS tapes where Sabat was trying to sound like Brian, it's so awkward.
