    • @MadDash84
      @MadDash84 2 года назад +1

      Lolwut? Are you being sarcastic? You subtract the previous number to find the difference, so of course adding the difference back to the previous number equals the subsequent number. This tells you nothing about the pattern that allows you to calculate the next number in the series...

    Sir in q8,ans can be 32also..
    Because 1st,3rd,5Th,7th,9th term varies with 5..and the even Th term varies with 6 and 12.
    So if we substitute 32 with 30
    It will be
    3-12-24-30-42
    First diff. is 6 and then 12..then 6 and then 12..
    Isn't it??

    • @MadDash84
      @MadDash84 2 года назад +1

      Doesn't work because difference between 2 and 12 is 10 (not 6), which falls outside of your proposed pattern.
      Make sure to check EVERY number in the series, AND make sure to stick to a single operation or formula. Do not mix up your operations like involving multiplication in one part and then doing addition in another, unless there is a clear alternating pattern.
      It's easy to make mistakes on these questions when you notice a pattern that fits only part of the series, and then your brain does some weird mental gymnastics to fill in for another part of the series that shouldn't be resolved using the same pattern.
      Take note, the early parts of a series usually involving small numbers like 1,2,3, etc., are easy to omit or miscalculate by accident.
