Going over the top with patterns and furniture causes lag, affects some seasonal events, and all things are on the way, making walk a struggle. I just can't deal with that. My island is similar to yours. I love the style, no matter its popularity. I feel it's the best balance between playability and looks.

My island is even more "basic." I wanted it to feel very green, natural and minimal. My wife loves my island and I just think it's normal lol. I'm making hers more of a city, like Los Angeles, her favorite. I leveled my son's island and made him very nice villager and museum areas. Your island is beautiful! Way more intricate than mine 😂 Great inspo!

I don't know how people can put waterfalls and make them look massive lol, everytime I try make a waterfall I run out of space or I don't know just like how to make one- I also have no idea how people make their island look massive aswell and I'm over here feeling like my island is tiny- your island looks absolutely amazing. I'm going for like a half 'moderncore' (like having colours like greys, blacks, whites etc) and a half kidcore (obviously colours like red, blue, yellow and overall just all the bright colours)
I think I’m going to incorporate a large lake as well on my island. I love the way it looks. But I want it to be a forest for the most part-the villagers live in their own section (my favorites live near me lol) and I want it to be very soothing and green, like living in the woods. (Think Maine or the UP of Michigan…)

Dang! This island is so decorative! I want to redo my island but I just got the second floor on my house so I probably wouldn't have enough money to replace the houses and buildings. And my villagers houses along with the buildings are on the first level and i kinda want to expand the levels so I could do something like having the shops near the town hall and the measum on the second level, along with a secret passage to redds island but I don't wanna take all that time into doing it...I've already got almost 300 hours into the game an I only got it in December, someone stop me I'm addicted to animal crossing!

I keep things simple by using the map as a grid. Everyone gets their own address square and I put address signs like B2, B3, B4, and B5.
