Is that possible for self studies for ATCL ? I am over 40 years , I am holding DIP LCM , what exam you suggest me to do? And I wish to do ATCL for voice , is that possible for self studies too ? Thank you
Let me put it this way. It is of course possible for anyone to self study for exams, but at some point you might want to get some professional advice and evaluation on your preparation, and see if you performance level is close to what is required for that particular exam. I personally had never self-studied a professional exam without someone of higher level helping me at some point, and I see a lot of students come to me ask for help at the last minute of preparation, or tried many times on their own and failed at their attempts. Hope this helps.
It really depends on what level you are at currently (not about your grade but rather your performance level), and how much time you're putting in regularly for lessons and practice. I say with my students it ranges from 1.5 years to 2 years after grade 8. Hope this helps.
It really depends on your current level of performance and which diploma you want to pursue. And what do you like to know about diploma in composition. You can find more here: www.abrsm.org/fileadmin/user_upload/diplomas/performance/performanceDiplomaFull.pdf
Hi. Thank you for the helpful video! Can you do the CT ABRSM online? Also, I only have 2 piano students at the moment. Would this be enough to qualify for the CT ABRSM? I have completed Grade 8 Piano and Grade 6 Theory.
Hi Carolyn, CT ABRSM is a course offered exclusively by the ABRSM- now they also have a CT ABRSM Plus Program that combines CT ABRSM and dipABRSM Principle of Teaching. You can also take dipABRSM Instrumental Teaching exam without taking any course but simply having a professional teacher to coach you through it.
@@musiconwingcc Thank you for your reply (: I would just like to do the CT ABRSM course to start off with and then maybe do the dipABRSM at a later stage. I live in Taiwan and I have a professional teacher to help coach me through the CT ABRSM. Would I be able to hand in my assignments and get the certificate even if I'm living in Taiwan? Thanks again.
This was very informative Teresa! Thankyou!
