Yes, it is quite sweeter and honest compare to other girls relationship in the game. But, I think it was better to remove because Yosuke is kinda person who depend totally on other for his worth. Most of the time in the game, he try to do everything for saki sake. Everything was to prove something for saki or related. Yu suddenly adding to the relationship with him, feel like he suddenly tieing his emotional worth with Yu. It kinda feel Yu now take place of Saki in Yosuke life.
