I loved Yosuke's story in this game, and these moments of him trying to play the straight man under these delusions of his friends never fail to make me laugh. But, god bless, did I hate that the over-arching premise required him to flat out FORGET the rule of people and their Shadows in the TV World!
yosuke is the mc in the manga and i really recommend it. ESPECIALLY his fight with Yu. the conflict isn't with Nanako but with their actual relationship

my favorite thing about this game is that in the manga yosuke is the protagonist, therefore yosuke's route is very likely meant to be the "true" one or the "canon" one. i havent played any games that came after ultimax though so i'm unsure if it still applies but it's at least how it feels like. i like yosuke having his own story.
Yu and Labrys vie for the protagonist position in Ultimax, though I think the manga adaptation follows Yu as the protagonist. Dancing All Night has Yu and Rise (and Kanami, sort of) as the protagonists, so no, I don't think Yosuke ever gets the spotlight again.
Man i love how they treat all p4 maincast in this game, especially yu. We finally have a protagonist that actually speak and have personality. I hope they would done the same thing with joker if P5A ever come out
