its already 2020 and this is old but by far this is the simplest and most understandable tutorial (for me) thank you again!
Yeah.
;v;
Dream Ish Very Annoying (°▽°)

@@sorusoru4128 thabk you for this
I'm mostly a traditional artist but I really wanted to try out digital but getting the hang of different programs have been really tough and not a lot of tutorials I watched explained what certain tools do -- this tutorial tho is really really helpful!! Thank you!!! :)
I would recommend opening a program and just trying every tool to see what they do. You probably won't end up using most of them anyway.
same same

And they say digital art is easy 😭🤣
When you realize you've been drawing for years but still need to watch this video
Mood.
I actually didn't even know you're supposed to put your layers underneath the sketch, that really does solve a lot of my digital coloring problems.
yeahhh,, i almost gave up because of my frustration
SAME
What do you mean underneath?
@@thealmightychicos I think they meant below the sketch ?
@@shin6985 I'm new to digital art. Thank you. I'm so confused lol
Finally, a straightforward tutorial without 10 mins of blabbering! Thankyou for the best starting tutorial I’ve seen so far!!!
I'm using medibang on Android, and got confused with gray scale coloring technique in medibang android, can u make tutorial about it, btw u got one new subscriber ❤️
Yes please!! i have the same issue
Me too
That would be very helpful
i know its late but...u just shade with grey and use a darker value to shade (just like u wud with colours)...and then add highlights and stuff...and clip it and add ur colours.....ur welcome
@@shirayukihime7384 OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH IT ALL MAKE SENSE NOW
I WAS STRUGGLING SO MUCH
17 seconds in and you already helped... Don't know what that disliked but they are fools
'this tutorial was pretty simple'
me: 👁👄👁
I love the way you draw eyes.. It's enticing 💕
Thank you for this super easy to follow and quick tutorial! :D Definitely going to try it out
Taehyung!
Violetae I love your pfp lol
agreed
I started doing digital art 5 days ago and this is the best straight to the point tutorial ever. no detours, no shenanigans, no nothing! Straight to the point and thank u for this💕
This is genuinely so appreciated. You have no idea how many people just talk over their speed paintings without really explaining what they're doing or the techniques they use, but still call it a tutorial. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU. for not being one of those people.
I always love watching your tutorials! They're super helpful, easy to follow, and your voice is calming to listen to. Thank you and please do more!
How come your line art is so nice?!!
And the colors blend beautifully too creating a mood...
I am now looking forward to your videos
This is so helpful, thank you for your videos. I always learn from them!!!!
I honestly can't thank you enough for this Jyundee, I've been so confused about the whole clipping thing with the layers, as you can probably tell I'm pretty new to digital art, and I have been self taught, so I have to figure everything out on my own, but I couldn't seem to with this, so thank you so much!!!
This is such a nice tutorial :'0 I'm definitely going to try out some of this stuff when coloring my next drawing. Thank you!!
i know im 3 years late but your art is breath-takingly beautiful, i wish i could draw realistically, but cartoony drawing cativates me a lot
This is extremely helpful, for both learning MediBang and a few coloring techniques. You have a very easy to follow, step by step tutorial without an artsy word exposition dump. The visuals match up clearly with the audio, providing a guide for visual learners.
Been watching through your tutorials all morning. Can't believe I never used clipping or alpha layer settings before and I even studied digital design at university. So much time wasted. I look up tutorials for all sorts of things and normally the is a lot of fluff before I get any useful information. Thank you for being so direct and informative in your videos. Your videos are super easy to follow and understand. Some of the best I have seen.
One last thing, never apologize for your voice mate. It doesn't sound childish like you said in another video. Your voice is high, but in a good way. It is genuinely pleasant to listen too and adds a comfy vibe to your videos. Also even at 2x speed I understand everything you say on the first pass through which is rare. So own it queen! Anywho, thanks again!
Hi I wanted to thank you so much for your tutorials. They are really nice and easy to follow and you definitely think about your audience and how many of them may be beginners and not understand some of the commonly used terms for digital art, and that you never assume so you take the time to break down and explain everything that you do. You are a wonderful teacher and you definitely have a way with teaching! I like how your pace is nice and easy to follow and I don't have to keep rewinding to hear again what you are talking about. I only do traditional and have had no luck in digital so I stopped trying ages ago and have finally decided to try digital again. I use ibispaint and although the apps are different, the way how you slowly, calmly, easily and clearly you explain things transcends all drawing apps. I understand enough to be able to apply what I have learned onto ibispaint. You are really wonderful for doing what you do! I can't thank you enough! You are the best at explaining the digital art process for total beginners! Thank you!
I recently discovered your channel, and I've improved drastically. Every video has been extremely helpful for an amateur like me. You're very skilled, and it's even cooler that we use the same program. Thank you so much!
i want to learn coloring picture chareacters specially from where?
Thank you very much! I have Medibang Paint Pro and I've been feeling a little dissatisfied with how I've been drawing/shading/etc. This tutorial was very helpful and quick with how to shade (I also enjoy your other videos) Thank you for this, and it's something I can practice doing to improve my art skills!
it really is almost intoxicating watching you draw, thanks as always!
A new sensei has been acquired! Going to try this out on my next piece, lol
Oh my god... some people are just so talented it’s crazy
This was 2 years ago and the most understable tutorial i have watched
its really so nice seeing such a clean line art+ good voice-over tutorial + an incredible painting ... you have it all ♥ you inspire me so much to become an artist
ariaroseful wow thank you so much
This was so helpful, thank you! I've been erasing all the color outside the line art after coloring, and using the blur tool, this will save me HOURS! xoxo
The best tutorial out there by far! No skipping of steps like most other RUclipsrs. Thank you for sharing this even though I'm like almost 3 years late!! Youre he best!!
2021 and this popped up on my dash and turns out to be the easiest to understand tutorial I've seen by far despite searching through dozens of colouring tutorials.
Omg thank you so much, now Im just waiting for my wacom! Btw, you are an amazing artist
Thank you so much! I've been using medibang for a while now and this gave me even more info how I can I get better at medibang.
Thank you so much for making videos like this, it’s really helpful to just see how to use the tools in a way that makes sense to drawing and not just the cut and dry what it does. Your an amazing artist and I’ve learned a lot! Thanks again!
This is seriously the most informational coloring tutorial I’ve found. Thanks this was really helpful.
This is a super helpful video. The explanation was so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much. Would you please consider doing a similar video on blending and gradation? I would so much love to watch a live streaming from you. Love your art...the world and mood in your paintings are so beautiful. Thank u again. Have a beautiful day. :)
Green Wood I’ll add that to my to do list x)
:) Thank u.
I'm sorry to ask you i just downloaded Medibang pro but i'm struggling with the brushes I don't know how to add more do you know how i can add more brushes?
Learned a new trick about using clipping,
also every time Im so confident in trying to do this but then I lose that confidence once I try to do it.
Nice tutorial, you made a great job here. You made it pretty simple to understand and clear, and the fact that you're clearly showing your layers and how you use them is a great point because this is rarely the case on similar youtube videos. Keep the good work up :)
I absolutely love your style! The line work and colours are so clean and lifelike. Thank you for this beautiful tutorial.
Ive had medibang for a year and i never understood how to use clipping till now :DDD Thnx for the awesome tutorial!
This looks amazing!
Thank you! All the other tutorials are too long because my attention span is so low I'm not focused ;; and thanks to this video my shading had became increasively better! Thank you again
Thank you for makeing this easy and quick tutorial. And youe voice is so calming and soft I love it. And I lobe your art already
Thank you so much! This was so easy to follow and learn!

I love how calming yet informative this video is~ you've got yourself a new subscriber!
Thank you for every single tutorial on this channel. I have just recently started digital art on a cheap-ish $250 Android tablet after 4 years of traditional art and plan to buy a Cintiq later on down the road, but I want to see if digital art is right for me. I have tried so many apps from ArtFlow to Painter to Sketchbook and now I have downloaded Medibang. It seems like Autodesk Sketchbook with more creative options and it helps that I have a creative person to guide me through learning to use it. You deserve way more subscribers for the amazing work you have done. I am currently about to attempt the realistic face tutorial on your channel as I type this.
Thank you very much for this tutorial! This is really helpful !

Idk if you are even on here anymore, but I wanted to thank you. I have this idea for my book cover & im not really sure how to approach a artist to make it. Your videos & tools are all super helpful
I can not tell you now much this helps... I was having soooo much trouble with coloring omg. Thank you soooo much!
Thank you for this tutorial!
It was easy to follow and explained well.
You make it seem so simple! Thanks for this and I hope I get better in drawing and colouring my artwork! I just don't have the right choice of colours ;^;
Finally simple yet understandable tutorial...Thanks a lot
This tutorial is gold, it helped a lot to make me understand how to paint digitally and now I feel that I could do something good! Thank you so much!
Goodness your voice sounds innocent. A rare find to hear a voice reflective of their work. (I mean it as an compliment)
Whoa, the lineart was so beautiful I didn’t think it could get any better, but the final piece is stunning! Thanks for this informative video 💓
Btw, do you have a shop? I’d totally buy a print of that.
d for dragon thank you. Unfortunately, I do not have a shop as I am still a small artist 😅. I plan on taking commissions in the future tho
jyundee you dont seem like a small artist😭😭😭😭
Its me
This was soooo helpful, I’m very new to medibang but just introducing simple tips like the correction thing and clipping has helped me so much
I really enjoyed your tutorial, it was very down to earth and with a calm and collected vibe to it. And I appreciate the beauty and creativity of your art.
I love your voice!
You explained this so great a light bulb literally went off in my head like oh okay that's easy enough thank you for your tutorial
Lifesaver. Just found your channel, gonna be binging a lot lol also your voice is lovely, i could listen all day x
This tutorial was so helpful. I only just started and was hating the software that came with my drawing tablet. This video really helped me learn where things are and some basics of digital art. THANK YOU
OmG your voice is beautiful!!! Thank you so much for this video!!! Love ya~♥
She sounds as beautiful as the girl in her painting.
Aaaaaaaaaaaa so cool!!!!! Thanks for sharing
oh my god, the voice. So friggin soothing. Your voice has that shy, introverted tone to it, like you're about to cry and all. I canntttt >.< LOL I could listen to you talk all day. But anyways, great tutorial, I'll definitely use it for my future arts. Keep it up!
YES!!! FINALLY A VIDEO THAT ACTUALLY EXPLAINS HOW CLIPPING WORKS AND HOW I DO IT!!!
I have a question, do you keep the linear at the end of the drawing process or do you hide it?
What canvas size do you use? Btw This tutorial was extremely helpful!!♡♡
Really enjoying your tutorials subscribed so i don't miss anything and looking forward to the next one
Thank you!!! I've been trying to practice for days and had no idea what I was doing
Honestly I wish i saw this before!
Hi! thank you for the tutorial but when i want to try downloading the lineart and bush/leaf brush, the link is not working.
I came here for learning soft shading cause that's what I have been having trouble figuring out how to do, and this explained it perfectly! The clipping layers are heavenly for shading. Thank you so much!
Thank goodness you did this. Finally a video on this program that is helpful. Thanks!
Finally a REAL artist. Someone who cares to create a masterpiece and not just what fetishes get them off. I've been scouring the web for a tutorial like this, but I just kept getting horny guys who were coloring nasty degrading pictures like it was something normal. So THANK you so much. I'm so annoyed it's hard to find a decent respectable guy these days. I only find women who are respectable like yourself. So, thanks so much and your art piece so so beautiful.
I've asked you in the past but not sure if you answered in another video: what resolution are you working in? I'm fairly certain in some of your beginner videos you were using a rather low resolution workspace but perhaps you've changed it of late? Nonetheless you are amazing. Thank you in advance.
Joel Portillo yeah, I’ve been using bigger resolution now. 1500-3200
jyundee I'm surprised because that's still rather moderate and your detail looks amazing. Most concept artists in the industry are going around 3000 to 4000 px. Do you print out your pieces? What are the physical dimensions and how good does medibang look when printed? Thank you kindly for the response. I'm itching to try medibang again.
Joel Portillo I don’t print out my artwork as I don’t not have a shop yet. Thank you for asking
jyundee you definitely must!!! You are awesome! Thank you again.
Thank you so much for thinking of and posting this tutorial!! I really wanted to try digital but I only have a mouse and personal computer so when you mentioned "mouse user", I became really motivated. And this has been really useful. Thank you again
You make so beautiful art!! Love it!
Does anyone have tips on preventing the watercolor looking so streaky on skin (the percentage of opacity, load color, etc) It completely ruins the look and whenever I try using the airbrush it looks too basic
Trying mixing them
Water color first, then use airbrush at a low opacity
Try a little smudge if it doesn't blend well
Can u plz reupload the line art I cant seem to download it.. it said sorry not found..
I love your art style! It's so pretty!!
Medi Bang is the only program I use willingly
( I have to use photoshop at school)
I have never known about protect alpha and clipping and how easy it would make my life XD.
Thank you for these wonderful tutorials, I really should’ve looked them up sooner.
It looks so simple :( i wish i can draw like that
With some practise and research you can improve!
Can you put this file link on download again? Link its broken and i can't find a page.
If you are using mobile.... Click on lineart link provided using chrome browser.....switch to desktop site and you can download.
Hope this worked
The literal second you showed what clipping did I was so happy because I’ve been using this program for so long and this makes it so much easier goshhh
Oh! So amazing! I like your style!
When I click on the link the web tells me that the page no longer exists :( How can I get the lineart?
same I want the lineart too
Me too :(
The link to download is not working
Thanks so much for the brush!! I absolutely love it
You taught me what clipping is and I'm so grateful! And it's great for painting face features softly
Hi! I tried to download the file and brush, but they're no longer available :(

you sound shy but it was a great vid :)
so quick and concise!!! Awesome video!!!
The lineart and coloring is beautiful! Thank you so much for the tutorial, helped me out a lot!
This is beautiful! I love the shading qwq
your style is so delicate and pretty i love it
Why did I just found this video now?? I've been trying for weeks to find an understandable or simple tutorial and here it is.
You have no idea how much I love your channel omg. Thank you so much for this informative content ❤
This was such a great video explaining the process!
