2nd delivery is usually quicker than the first, so maybe once you start to feel pain, please ask your mum and brother to come quickly, it is really quick...stay safe and best wishes to you.
For us, Chinese, we have this old tradition to pass the older child's baby clothes for the new baby so they can grow up healthy and well
Also easy to care for, good that you had kept all Sansan's clothes.

Congratulations! Brace yourself - a 2 year old is way too young to understand the needs of a baby. He will surely regress a little (completely normal when a kid is stressed) and act like a younger kid. Please have patience with him as this too is temporary - you are lucky to have someone to share your load. I have often heard that having two kids with 2 years or less of an age difference IS equal to having twins. Good luck.
Sansan has a wonderful role model in his Dad. He is learning how to be kind, supportive and sweet like his Dad. And you, Miriam, are a wonderful mother and role model - kind and helping Sansan to understand what is going on. Good luck with the delivery. Take care of yourselves.

I had 4 kids in under 6 years. They are in their late teens, early 20’s now and have the strongest sibling bond I’ve seen. It was busy and hard at times when they were small but now I’ve realized the best gift I gave them was each other ..... lifelong friends

Dont worry too much..💕i had three Boys one and a half year apart each time.I also breastfeeded..and worked as a small Animal veterinarian..Complicated was That my now exHusband wasnt much of a help,but i have the feeling you can really trust your husband..his thoughts sounded wonderful and sincere..so as long he stays that way..I think you have no need to worry..👍🏻for your choice of husband..😉🍀good luck to you

I am so excited for you. 2 years ago we gave our toddler son a baby brother (we were expecting a baby sister) and it’s the best thing we have done for our eldest. You are giving San San the best gift, it will be difficult but so magical!
I had similar logistical/childcare worries for my labour. I wonder if it’s an option for your mum and brother to collect San San from the hospital car park? That way you can head straight there without delay and get settled in the birthing unit, Yonghong can pass San San to grandma. It may also help San San feel involved in getting mama to hospital, like he’s in charge of getting you and baby brother there safely 😍
I know there’s probably reasons why this won’t work for you but thought it was worth suggesting. I remember how worrying it is. Wishing you all the best!

Girl or boy does not matter. Healthy and beautiful baby is the most important.
Congratulation on your second baby. To avoid sibling jealously , this is what I did when I had my two children one and half year between each other. It was not easy but it is worth it. You must get a little present for Sansan and say from little tee tee to big brother but wait until Sansan approach the baby. Remeber Sansan have all your attention and love for a long time. And suddenly baby come along, all attention goes to the new baby. Always remember he is first born and must always include him first. Baby only need feeding and changing of diapers first few month. But Sansan see and understand more than baby. So my 2 cent opinion. Good luck!

The rules vary depending on which hospital you go to. In Kristianstad, you were only allowed to bring one person to the birth if he or she was tested negative for a covid test on site.
Then when you move to BB, they are not allowed to come along.
What fun to hear that you got to sleep in a mangel basket as a child, my partner prepared a similar one this summer which turned out really well.
However, our son has not wanted to sleep in it yet 😜

Second baby will be much faster. For my second delivery... I arrived at the hospital which is only 10 minutes away at 3am and delivered at 3.35 am . It all happened so fast. Best to go to hospital earlier.

Thanks for the info re Rosetta Stone. I have been using Duolingo for the past year to learn some new languages and improve on some others. (Since watching your videos I have started Chinese, which is easier than I expected! And I love when I can idebtify words in your subtitles!) I have been using the free version because there are things I don't love about it, so I would love more feedback on how the Rosetta Stone is working. You asked for suggestions. Here are my thoughts: as Yonghong gets to know certain words and phrases in Swedish, perhaps both of you can now only say those words and phrases to each other in Swedish in the middle of your Chinese sentences. Then as he learns another word, add it to the words you both always only say in Swedish. And correct his pronunciation as often as feasible until he gets it right. I think SanSan will learn faster and he will eventually teach pappa! Same with English! You are such a lovely couple and family! I wish you every success! Hilsen fra Canada!🇨🇦 (I speak more Norwegian than Swedish but it's probably the same or similar.😊)
I haven't tried duolingo myself, it might be similar? Are they teaching with pictures? Thanks for the idea too i think that's a good way to go about it! Sansan already speaks Swedish luckily, only with me, not with his dad 😊
@@MiriamFollin That's great that SanSan speaks Swedish. Duolingo only occasionally has pictures - not very many. And I think that some of the languages that I am very familiar with already - like Norwegian and Spanish, for example - would be very difficult to learn from Duolingo. But it is useful backup to someone who, say, has moved to a different country and is trying to improve their language skills in the new country.

Dates with walnuts and cocoa powder, a little vanilla. The nut oil gives moisture. You could do peanuts. Very tasty!
You are a great mother to Sansan and heartened to hear that you breast feed till he was weaned off to solid food. It is several IQ points between a breast feed baby and one early introduction to non human milk, and it also has a positive effect on a baby emotional development.
