    The Hi.X55 is just an super precise Mixing tool its not necessarly the most enjoyable listening Headphone, but if you wanna hear real High defenition Sound and want to find failures then the X55 is on the top of the list. The magic lies in the Driver, when all Headphonecompany went big with their drivers resulting in getting muddy, AA went smaller and getting cuttingly precise,

    Although Austrian Audio is new in terms of the longevity of the their company they actually have their roots in AKG. not really new comers when it comes to putting out quality gear. I have the Hi-X55's ...game changers If you're looking to use them for critical
    listening applications.

    • @Todesnuss
      @Todesnuss 3 года назад +2

      I have the 65s and although open back they have cleaner bass and less of a presence dip so they're worth the extra cost. I can agree very much that they are game changers. I often see very critical comments but it seems to me they focus to much on a 'flat' response rather than detail reproduction and separation at which they seem to rival planars beyond the 1k mark.

    I just wish they included the shorter cable option, as the 3m is a tad long for my use. If they considered re-introducing a coiled 4 wire cable similar to the AKG K340, they would be amazing. However, I've only had mine for a few days and I have noticed that the foam padding does 'crackle' when first used/beginning of each listening session, which was a little worrying, however, I am happy with how they 'sound'.

    pretty descriptive explanations of both headphones. But when you said something about moving marbles.. I am at a loss of how a headphone can change how a recording works and has been presented. I believe they can be muffled. But how can the marbles only stay centered and not move from one side to the other, like you said... That is the recording no headphone can change how the recording is being played from a left to right standpoint.. the way something sounds sonically, tonely yes, but if the song is mixed to go from left to right or vice versa no, that is baked in....

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  4 года назад +3

      You bring up a very good point. When a sound pans from one side to another, a headphone should simply recreate that. But the transience, clarity, and detail all contribute to whether that panning is perceptible. If the panning effect is slight, then it'll be harder to hear with some headphones. Two headphones that make this effect absolutely clear are the Hi-X55 and Avantone Planar.

      I had the 712 Pro for about 2 years before I started my channel. I was not a fan. Soundstage was above average and I never had reason to gripe about that; comfort was quite good because of the light weight and large earpads; but the sound was annoying. The treble spike was too harsh for me and some vocals sounded shouty. Of course, my music preferences have changed over time and maybe the 712 would not appear as bad now. hi! you own the GSP 600 headphones, are they a good deal? I am considering those or gsp 670 for use on telework, movies, music, and casual gaming. Live in a city, next to a military airport, isolation is important...Aside from that, any words about panda? again, isolation, bluetooth is convenient too, that price though...

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  4 года назад +2

      I don't have the Panda, and initial impressions from others is not as glowing as Drop/Zeos would like you to think. I don't know if the 670 has the same driver and tuning as the 600, so I can't talk about the 670. The 600 is a fairly neutral headphone; it's very comfortable. Soundstage is above average; detail, placement, separation, is all average. The microphone is okay, though nothing impressive. As gaming headphones go, the 600 is among the best I have used. But that's a very low bar. Depending on the amount of money you want to spend, you may be better off with another bluetooth headphone. The B&W PX7 and Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless are excellent alternatives, though clearly much more expensive than the gaming headphones. Plus, you'll need to get a mic.

      VMODA Crossfade wireless 2 with the boompro Mic. Right now while they have specials running, the headphones and mic are $235 combined. You can use the headphones wired or charge them up and use them wirelessly via bluetooth. For what they are, the sennheisers GSP line is actually quite.. meh in sound presence and staging. Its lacking the Sennheiser sound. There are reasons why anyone looking at the gsp line just goes for Sennheiser 6xx or 58x and use a dedicated USB or XLR mic. The sound is better and the staging is far wider.
