I go back and forth between the iPhone and the Note, depending on what features are offered at the time. I currently own a Note 20 Ultra and love it, but I think a lot of it has to do with who's doing the shooting. Each phone's default settings provide certain pros and cons, but someone with an eye for photography can make the right adjustments to get a better shot.
Yes, if you're an actual photographer using either phone, really it's your talents that will matter more than any substantive difference between the two phones. Except maybe video quality on iPhone and zoom quality + ultrawide on Note 20 Ultra.
Honestly we are splitting hairs. Without the side by side comparison, both are fantastic. I have a note 20 ultra but used an iPhone for years. The one thing nice about the note is the 5x optical zoom
I feel the need to mention this, since the video said Note 20 camera can do HDR10, that the Note 20 can actually do HDR10+video recording (as opposed to just HDR10). Both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are dynamic metadata HDR formats whereas HDR10 is a static metadata HDR format. HDR10+ is a royalty free version of Dolby Vision and is essentially the same thing, just a different implementation. Dolby Vision has certain advantages such as a higher peak brightness (10,000 nits vs 4,000 nits on HDR10+) however no commercial display can go that bright currently and both the iPhone and Note screens max out at 1200 nits. If you have any of the Samsung QLED TVs, your TV is capable of HDR10+ and not Dolby Vision. If you have an LG OLED, it supports Dolby Vision but not HDR10+. Netflix seems to prefer DV whereas Amazon Prime shows are mostly HDR10+. Just different formats for the same thing (kind of like Dolby vs DTS in the audio space). Both are great smartphone cameras regardless 🙂🙂 Edit: Apparently the Note 20 Ultra screen can go as bright as 1600 nits and not 1200 nits as I had mentioned previously.

Samsung Note 20. even during the video 4k part, the only difference I saw is the way the two flagships adjusted the focus. Samsung kept all the colours but before focusing the things were blur around, on the other hand, Apple lost its colour saturation before and after focusing on the subject during video recording. Night mode won by Samsung as well, somehow Samsung photos reflect way realistic feedbacks of subjects than the Apple, got a bit of feel as Apple tries to show things "more than what they are". The only thing that Apple has in advance is the iMessage nothing else. The moment Samsung will come out with their own sMessages then its going to be a huge advantage for Samsung, why? Because you can use Samsung with Apple devices or WIndows even (Mac and Cars) whereas you cannot sync Apple out of Apple. The same goes for let's say.. you want a smartwatch but don't feel like paying 3-400 dollars on one, so you wish to sync your phone with android, well Fitbit and other companies do let you both whereas apple only let apple to pair with its own. a huge drawback which might be going to result in their own company death on a long-term. Not everyone is an Apple fan and that is what apple must understand! Amazing review! Cheers!

@Benjamin Owuye Jagun You are probably an iSheep. I can admit when the iphone looks better. When the XS Max came out, I thought it was the best camera and android sucked but there isn't a gap anymore and Android is increasingly improving while Apple is lagging behind.
Is there really any point comparing these phones? I doubt there are many people who will choose based on such a comparison. Most people by now will be locked into their choice of Android or iOS. I wouldn't for example switch to Apple no matter what feature they introduced, and I imagine the same vice versa.
While that’s true for you, me and countless others, you’re conveniently forgetting about the people that are *just* entering the market. Maybe they’re 18 and finally have enough money to buy the phone they want or they’re an older adult that’s late to the game. The point is, there are still plenty of people that haven’t put their chips down.

A gorgeous Samsung Note 20 Ultra in white color 😍📱
But the thing with the portrait mode, especially with objects, is that you don't need to use portrait mode to have a blurred background because of the Note 20 Ultra's huge sensor. That being said, the plane of focus on the Note 20 Ultra is narrow because of that huge sensor. I don't feel like the Note 20's ultra huge sensor and what it is capable of, was explained that well

If I had to get only one phone to be my every day camera, I'd take the iPhone. I prefer the low light photos from the Note, but for the rest I'd almost always take the iPhone.
You better compare note 20 ultra with 12 pro max when it comes instead of 12 pro because the apple's flagship this year is yet to come.
Don't be disappointed the difference between the 12 pro and 12 max is going to be so small.

Thank you for the video. It is good if you can commend on what phone has pictures that are more realistic, more accurate, and same color as real scene that you see with your eyes. Some camera has pictures that cool color or warm color, but which one is more accurate to depict the color of that moment.

Really appreciate this comparison. Very unbiased and quite detailed. One of the best that I have seen till now

@08:58 you warn of the coming of the iPhone 12 pro max. In South Texas when the bully(iPhone 12 pro) gets whipped he can be heard saying that he's going to go get his big bro(iPhone 12 pro max). And then when he gets whipped he can be heard saying that he's going to go get his poppa(iPhone 13?).
The Galaxy phones need to have playback in 4k 60 and the whole phone needs to be encrypted not just certain files they should do the same thing but their tablets as well 🌺
Note: Zoom
iPhone: Video and portátil mode

You can shoot in raw format on the Samsung's note with it's pro mode. This gives you full controls of your cameras

Zoom, love focus video 2 things amazing on Note 20 Ultra.
Live streaming on front facing camera, the Note 20 Ultra does a better job at color, focus and quality when compared to my wife's iPhone pro
@Benjamin Owuye Jagun Not mad, but looks like you were triggered.
You can see the difference in the front facing camera, especially when you are comparing in person because I have access to both. Enjoy your iPhone... 🙄
Great content, Lexi! Keep up the good work!
Great presentation Lexy! The one major advantage of the Note 20 is its ability to shoot RAW image format. This is huge and fully supported by Photoshop and other major photo editing tools. Apple says it will be adding Apple ProRaw to the 12 but this will just be another Apple proprietary format, not good...
Both cameras are excellent, only difference is iPhone is natural and Note20 is saturated
Note 20 is not saturated but fake colored to make people thinking is better

What's wrong with this iphone 12 video at 00:26? Notice at the right down edge of the screen. Its Soooo artificial, so bad
That’s the green reflections of the leaves. On the other hand the Samsung blew out the highlights of the building on the left side a few seconds later
@@mauricedicke9527 what i saw its like darkness at the bot right edge then her hand moves, mean while samsung is consistent like a normal camera compare to iphone which have weird darkness when her hand move at the edge
Phones have gotten to a point where they are both amazing.

This makes me wonder - how does live focus/portrait mode works out in video? How does it compare?
The Note 20's photos looked more aesthetically pleasing on almost every photo.
@Benjamin Owuye Jagun You are probably an iSheep. I can admit when the iphone looks better. When the XS Max came out, I thought it was the best camera and android sucked but there isn't a gap anymore and Android is increasingly improving while Apple is lagging behind.
Judging this on 144p, they are both amazing cameras
The questions are,
1. Android or iOS?
2. Do you care or not care about the apple logo?
Hard to choose now. The notion that android has a bad camera is definitely gone. They trade blows scene by scene
And samsung beats it at everything else.
You remeber the times before the iPhone 6? Apple cams were just crap compared to Samsungs back then. With iPhone 6 Apple could atleast catch up
Difficult to choose which one is better since the reporter is so pretty and look beautiful on both ;)
Is there really any point comparing these phones? I doubt there are many people who will choose based on such a comparison. Most people by now will be locked into their choice of Android or iOS. I wouldn't for example switch to Apple no matter what feature they introduced, and I imagine the same vice versa.
It's the truth most people won't admit
Currently I am considering to go Iphone from 10 year Samsung Flagships. Just to experience this apple ecosystem then 3 years later I decide again. :D
True, both have great cameras. The differences are mostly depending on taste preference.
