KEXP has some of the best sound people in the business. That and Cheryl Waters, who is legendary for good reason, are why they never have trouble getting the best indie artists on their shows.
I admire how she acknowledges the inconsistency of the self and how one's inner belief can vary from day, but to accept the feeling in the moment. She said, "for today, I truly believe that's how it is."
Silja is amazing. Guitar, keyboards, percussion and has an amazing voice as well. Her harmonies with AURORA are sublime. I haven't heard many other acts that sound as good as AURORA and her band singing live. Their live performances are truly special.
There are no words adequate enough to say how much this beautiful human being inspires, enchants, bewitches, charms, and mesmerizes. The performances by Aurora and every member of her band are fantastic, and the interview afterwards is a delight to the ears, eyes and senses. I can't wait to see her live in November.

She, her band - They had to get together, it was always the universes plan. I have heard of her just a couple months ago, and I am deeply touched by her music. Also, because it is so authentic and pure.
I have to say Through The Eyes Of A Child reminds me of Silver Springs, and Runaway reminds me of Crimson & Clover but then again I have been just a drinking a mixture of alcohol and tears while it is still music to my ears.
i love how she talks about the concept of her second album here. the "infections of a different kind" are the different types of pain she learned about while on tour, hearing about the fans stories etc. she absorbed that pain and turned it into music, just like she used to do with her own pain (in _all my demons greeting me as a friend_ ). that's beautiful. and a nice detail about that is the cover of the album, the position of her hands really convey that message to me, especially when you look at the cover of her _third_ album, "a different kind of human": she has learned how to empathise with the world around her, and now she's a new person and has more to offer. beautiful beautiful

I have to say Through The Eyes Of A Child reminds me of Silver Springs, and Runaway reminds me of Crimson & Clover but then again I have been just a drinking a mixture of alcohol and tears while it is still music to my ears.
i love how she talks about the concept of her second album here. the "infections of a different kind" are the different types of pain she learned about while on tour, hearing about the fans stories etc. she absorbed that pain and turned it into music, just like she used to do with her own pain (in _all my demons greeting me as a friend_ ). that's beautiful. and a nice detail about that is the cover of the album, the position of her hands really convey that message to me, especially when you look at the cover of her _third_ album, "a different kind of human": she has learned how to empathise with the world around her, and now she's a new person and has more to offer. beautiful beautiful
