I think she’s only one of the few artists that sounds better live than on her recording. That is so weird as it’s usually the other way and it makes you upset because you feel cheated. Aurora gives you everything and more.
Too much of guitar sounds don’t seem to harmonise Aurora’s vocals somewhere spoiling beautiful voice of Aurora. Missing original Frederick V. I’m pretty sure it would have been the other way and much wholesome here with Fred V. No doubt the current one guitar player plays beautiful music. But, miss the originality with Fred V. I’m not an expert musician. But, keen listener to music of any kind. Just my honest feelings. Music doesn’t mean you know how to play it and thus you want it to be heard loud. No. I won’t buy it. Aurora is sophisticated. So, even a single note is something to reckon (with).
Aurora is obviously gorgeous, but let's take a moment to admire how much of emotion and feelings the guitarist has brought to the arrangements... really good stuff!
People who attended this performance, you are so, so lucky... I have watched and listnened to so many of her concerts, and this one is among the TOP ones (if not THE top). Her voice is so perfect, so pure, she feels so free (liberated!), joking with the audience.... Those are 45:44 minutes of pure perfection and delight....
I think the Live in Nidarosdomen concert is my personal favorite. The acoustics of that cathedral is unlike anything I've ever heard, it feels like it was constructed solely for her performance on that day. And the orchestra and choir arrangement was equally impressive. I just found it the other day and I've probably watched it 15 times already. well my friends, been there, but let this be some personal advide: love her adore, embrace her music with all you have if it give you a a feeling that you like. Use that music, not aurora, the music, the feeling it gives you to continu, use that as a key to unlock tha door, the door that let al the negative feelings flow out of you. And while in the progres, don't throw way the key, hang it around your neck and keep it close to you so can remind yourself of that feeling of letting things out. I once listened to the song on a flight, it was like 12 midnight and looking out the window, looking down at the city lights, and mountains, it was just the best feeling ever. If I ever get the chance to have a midnight flight again, I’d definitely listen to the song again.
I am so late to the party as usual. I have spent the weekend with headphones on listening to everything I could find on her, I didn't realise that I hadn't cried for so many years, even after my mother died, nothing. But this weekend Aurora squeezed my heart so hard, with her voice and her raw beautiful honest purity, I sobbed. I saw my daughters eyes in hers and felt hope for the first time in years. I pray the people close to her keep her safe and strong.
As Aurora herself would tell you, we fight battles every day just being alive. And those that feel weak in this life are often actually the strongest as they have to fight more than others. Bjorn. We think that being famous is about superficiality and vanity. But art is not about fame. Some kinds of art are far for being just "plus". They are essential. They are medicines, because they speak the language of the human soul. If you can listen to your inner self and translate that sound to other humans, then your making a great gift to humanity. Aurora's music is like that.

But to feel it in every fiber of your body with a purity that makes the freshest spring water on this planet seem like liquid manure, that's what really inspires. It's quite...meta? lol But she's _such_ a pro...at being a musician and performing...that she never stops the song or makes it awkward. Like early in this show when she asked for the reverb or echo on her ear feed to be turned down. She's actually a pretty masterful entertainer. I forget what it was called, but a year or two ago she did this live show with just her at a piano and a small theater crowd. I think it was for some benefit or charity. But it was just Aurora at the piano playing like 3 or 4 songs. And it's all SO casual and enjoyable to watch....especially since it was one of if not her first live show post Covid restrictions. It's such a fun show(worth looking up on youtube) because Aurora is quite upfront about how she's just been living in her head in her room for a year and it's weird to be out in public...and how she hasn't rehearsed these songs in ages....and she forgets lyrics a few times. But she _never_ drops the ball. Even if an entire song is just not working...maybe she flat out forgot the chords to the bridge....she just rolls with it and makes it work. She's naturally very funny and creative, so it's almost more exciting to watch her rebound after a hiccup. It's the mark of a great artist who's just totally in a flow state and can hit any curve ball. lol...sorry to go on a rant there. But it was a pro Aurora rant...so I'm not actually sorry. :P

I kinda prefer these versions to their album counterparts. They're so much more stripped down to the bones. You cant hide in the production. She doesnt need to. Both are good. I just prefer these.

This performance is pristine. I can't believe she is improving on perfection as her voice and style matures. I'm proud of this girl and what she has achieved as an artist and a person.
I know she probably won't see this but I've seen her doing her live performances and the singing is beautiful but the thing that has me most curious is where she goes in her head as she dances and closes her eyes. The music brings tears but to me at least I can't help but think that the place she goes is somewhere outside of what I can see and imagine. It just seems a wonderous place and more beautiful than I can barely recall in my lingering moments between dreaming and waking. I suppose that comes with a bit of envy and sadness that such a thing seems so far out of my reach. Like knowing someone has seen a piece of a heaven you know you will never be able to reach and that you lack even the words to even begin to express. It feels more than a little weird to express this but does anyone else feel this way? I don't know her thoughts on the matter but wouldn't it be nice for there to be more people like her if only to have a greater chance to be a little closer to that ideal. Also yes if anyone is wondering if these thoughts make me feel a bit on the creepier side but I'm not 100% sure how to express what I'm thinking and this was the closest I could approximate.

Singing about love is the one thing. The musical landscape is flooded with love songs. But to feel it in every fiber of your body with a purity that makes the freshest spring water on this planet seem like liquid manure, that's what really inspires. Aurora, you are the epitome of a world star. And you deserve to be one too, with every fiber of your being.

I know popularity is nothing. It's clearly silly. But. How can someone like Aurora not be celebrated more? How is she still, so damn underrated. Aurora hasn't missed as far as I know, and I've looked.

But she's _such_ a pro...at being a musician and performing...that she never stops the song or makes it awkward.
Like early in this show when she asked for the reverb or echo on her ear feed to be turned down. She's actually a pretty masterful entertainer. I forget what it was called, but a year or two ago she did this live show with just her at a piano and a small theater crowd. I think it was for some benefit or charity.
But it was just Aurora at the piano playing like 3 or 4 songs. And it's all SO casual and enjoyable to watch....especially since it was one of if not her first live show post Covid restrictions. It's such a fun show(worth looking up on youtube) because Aurora is quite upfront about how she's just been living in her head in her room for a year and it's weird to be out in public...and how she hasn't rehearsed these songs in ages....and she forgets lyrics a few times.
But she _never_ drops the ball. Even if an entire song is just not working...maybe she flat out forgot the chords to the bridge....she just rolls with it and makes it work. She's naturally very funny and creative, so it's almost more exciting to watch her rebound after a hiccup. It's the mark of a great artist who's just totally in a flow state and can hit any curve ball.
lol...sorry to go on a rant there. But it was a pro Aurora rant...so I'm not actually sorry. :P

Her perfomance is so beautiful, a true goddess. Her voice is like a river in an ancient secret forest, so soothing, but also strong like a warrior! Love it!!

I kinda prefer these versions to their album counterparts. They're so much more stripped down to the bones. You cant hide in the production. She doesnt need to. Both are good. I just prefer these.

I know she probably won't see this but I've seen her doing her live performances and the singing is beautiful but the thing that has me most curious is where she goes in her head as she dances and closes her eyes. The music brings tears but to me at least I can't help but think that the place she goes is somewhere outside of what I can see and imagine. It just seems a wonderous place and more beautiful than I can barely recall in my lingering moments between dreaming and waking. I suppose that comes with a bit of envy and sadness that such a thing seems so far out of my reach. Like knowing someone has seen a piece of a heaven you know you will never be able to reach and that you lack even the words to even begin to express.
It feels more than a little weird to express this but does anyone else feel this way? I don't know her thoughts on the matter but wouldn't it be nice for there to be more people like her if only to have a greater chance to be a little closer to that ideal. Also yes if anyone is wondering if these thoughts make me feel a bit on the creepier side but I'm not 100% sure how to express what I'm thinking and this was the closest I could approximate.
