Leonard Shower Valve Check Stop Replacement

No hot water?! Mixing valves are notorious for allowing water to push through from one side to the other, thus allowing the cold water to overtake the hot water system or vice versa. Check valves can alleviate this problem. Most mixing valves come with internal check valves, but as we know, anything mechanical is subject to failure. When these fail, problems arise.
Today at work we had this problem. No hot water on 2/3 of the fifth floor. After narrowing down the potential issues I found that the internal check-stops in this Leonard Shower valve had failed.
