    I am only 12 and I did this with no help! I don’t know how everyone can say this is hard this is like nothing compared to other things you would have to do on a phone to fix it! All I am saying is most of the people that are saying this is hard or you need a collage degree to do this, I bet they never even tried this! You don’t know anything unless you try! Have a great day everyone!😁

    This looks kinda hard. My wife's phone broke and by reading the comments a lot of people messed up their phones more trying to fix themselves. It sucks because I'm stuck in the hospital and our phone carrier just gave her the only option to buy a new phone. I told her to tell them that we'll pay to fix it but I guess that wasn't an option. Is there anywhere we can take her phone to get fixed?

    if you have a new screen replacement and only see the screen you were scamed you need a screen with a lcd it should have like a chip thingy at the right because when you do this its not just the screen thats broken its the lcd {aka real screen} and those lc screens are like around 120 bucks goodluck

      There is nothing wrong with this method. It is the correct way of removing the broken screen. You just have to be extremely careful and take your time not to force anything.
      This person has only put a video up of how to do the job, it is up to the person then on how they want to do it themselves.

    Why do you have to remove mother board and the red and blue cables?

    • @EricWitrigs
      @EricWitrigs  7 лет назад +1

      Because it needs to be heated so that you can cut the screen sticker, and remove the screen

    • @mydumbvlogs7283
      @mydumbvlogs7283 7 лет назад

      I appreciate the reply, but what if you have already removed the screen without heat. I didnt damage the frame and its all clear, so when i apply the new digitalizer and glass, all ill have to do is connect the lcd flex cable?

    • @mydumbvlogs7283
      @mydumbvlogs7283 7 лет назад +1

      If you already broke the lcd, you can remove the glass before unscrewing and removing the guts the chasis. Just keep the back button and home button pads, and then remove the chasis. Afterward, remove uplug, the pry the digitizer carefully using the same method for removing the screen, slowly to avoid damaging the frame that holds the motherboard and etc. (Id reccomend removing the battery to avoid any unwanted damage trying to remove digitizer. Especially if there is fresh or good adhesive on the battery, i used a brand new battery as well as the screen so the adhesive was not a problem for the battery in my case.) You wont have to worry about the digitizer breaking or anything cuz well, its already broken. Unthread the flex cable and the lcd is now gone, leaving a blank slate on the front and everything left of the phone on the back. Buy a digitizer and glass combo, slap it on the front, and all you have to connect back is video flex cable and call it a day. (you know, after you reassemble.)

      Dude, this video goes step by step. I think you need to look inward as you may be the slow one. "How long to heat it up", come on, have a little thought behind the question. Heat it up until the glue unbinds. Wow, crazy deep thinking going on here. The video is sound, used it today and phone back up and running. Go to the store and buy a new one as you have not DIY in you. Be a normal consumer.
