Could have replaced the $7 charging board at that point with zero labor. That video unfocus was bullshit with a b.. The light acetone cleanup was very good to know considering hints of cleanup pointed to IPA instead. Thanks

The previous screen was totally damaged, and not able to be used with the back or recent apps button (including LCD was busted) could that have been the main cause of it not working after, or another reason? I think i screwed my s6 up ...i accidentally cut that tiny ribbon cable that is part of the lower left button next to home button. Did this ruin my phone permanently? My new digitizer arrives tomorrow. If my phone is no longer repairable i wont even open the digitizer and i’ll send it back where i bought it.
Remember to leave the seal gasket on the glass surface not the phone frame and start lifting and prying glass from the centre along the sides of the phone

Yes you can about a nine dollar hairdryer from Walmart you want to get the higher wattage but absolutely it will burn the LCDs if you get it too hot and hold it in one place for too long so make sure you keep the fluid motion up and down the sides and across the front down the middle never staying in one place too long this will ensure that you heat the device evenly which is key
I've watched you repair 2 Galaxy S6 on RUclips, and both times you forgot a screw and tried to rip put the screen/frame. Remove the old back adhesive so you can see all the screws, or count the screws. What a hack.

Can you please confirm whether the screen is different or incompatible.

Hi all, I need a bit of Help/advice here. my touch screen broke and I can't unlock the phone to grab the data from the phone. I have been told I need a £200 pound touch pad fitted to be able to unlock my phone. the insurance will replace my phone but won't fix it. I need all the contacts pictures ect. my thought was this, i have 2 identical s6's if I remove the back from a working s6 and remove the back from my broken s6 then pull the main board out of both phones and put my main board into the good s6 could I then power up the good s6 and unlock my phone and move the data from it. then put the original board back into the working phone and re-stick it. long story short is the hard drive and operating system on the main board so I can swap boards to retrieve my data . I get my S8 in 2 weeks so I don't want to spend £200 just to retrieve my data. I have no backup and my s6 don't show up on my Samsung account as I never got round to registering it. would my idea work.? if i can do this i wouldn't need to remove the battery or the front of the phone as all the stuff stored on the phone should be on the hard drive and if the hard drive is on the main board i cant see why this wont work, all i need to to gain access to my lock screen so it all shows up on my pc. i have posted this question on a few vids so sorry if you have read it once or twice but i desperately need to get this sorted as my insurance runs out in 1 month and i really dont need the £200 cost of replacing the touch-pad on my broken phone when i can get a new one on the insurance, i just need the data from it then they can have the broken phone. thanks in advance.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a crawl bar being used to open the phone just because not all screws were removed. The tools and way the phone it's handled it's so unprofessional. Surprisingly, there is only one thing he damaged (the light won't turn on). This kind of handling it shows how inexperienced the person who does it is.
i was gonna say that, he had no care in the world about how he handled it. i repair phones for family and friends and you have to handle with extreme care. like seriously

it's unlikely it was damaged before hand. You most likely damaged it during the repair. Which is the charge port replacement in order to fix it.

Bad connection with lcd en mb, make sure there is no dust between the connections and the connections are clean. (The cable to connect lcd to mb)

Pretty rough handling
Please don't pry the connectors off with a metal tool like this guy did or you may cause a short damaging the modules which will then need replacing.
You can just be gentle and use a plastic pry tool

I was going to fix my s6 with a broken lcd, but then I realized you can find a used working s6 cheaper than a new lcd.
next time that phone is taken apart, all of the ribbons on the sub-frame are gone. way to much adhesive.
