This was so emotional for me. Crosshair FINALLY connected with someone, only to lose him so cruelly. RIP Commander Mayday. Crosshair finally gets it. He's just a number. An expendable piece of meat. Despite his unwavering service, he means NOTHING to The Empire. At that moment, the symbolism of the Ice Vulture gliding above him reminds him of the Marauder and his brothers. And he loses it on the pissy Lt. I didn't expect thst. I do hope Nala Se finds and frees him after he promises to keep Omega safe.
My guess is omega is captured and brought here, so the bad batch comes after her w help from rex and echo. They probably encounter crosshair as well who bonded w omega in the time they were captured and rescue them both. Hell its even possible crosshair meets cody here too, i still have my doubts abt cody just running away awol. The way rampart said some shit abt “clones disappearing” i think they arrested him and made it look like he ran

I think Crosshair will sacrifice himself so Omega can escape and Crosshairs death will be what sparks the clone rebellion we have gotten embers of it to this point.
@@DarksideGmss0513 love that idea, the clone rebellion i can see doing huge damage to the empire. The Clones are so much more skilled that the empire will need to employ either orbital bombardments or Vader himself. I don't see the clones losing in a straight up fight to TK troopers
It’s a tuff scenario because in my opinion I think it it too early to kill off crosshair, we only seen him for 2 episodes this season. What if the empire is turning him into a darker character that will transform him into the dark trooper because at the end, why keep him? than just killing him for treason or whatever the empire excuse .
I agree with those that said they liked this episode more than Mando ep 2. When I saw Crosshair at the start I was like, yes!! To see his arc in this episode was a bit emotional, after commenting on dead weight then taking care of Mayday … I lost it. I like the symbolism of Mayday, who looked and sounded a little like Hunter, agreed with Crosshair on following orders … I was blown away. Crosshair giving him his most prized possession as a help, was not lost on me either. I think Filoni timed these episodes perfectly, knowing the overwhelming love of Mando, he didn’t want the Bad Batch getting overshadowed and placed these episodes to keep folks tuned in. At least that’s my opinion lol.
I feel like mayday is the embodiment of the clones as a whole. He has the rebellion persona like howzer. The questions like Cody. The brotherhood like fives or Rex. The grit of Slip and the way his armour is ruined plus the planet there on really solidifies how clones are viewed as nothing more then tools. This episode made me extremely emotional for them. Brilliant writing from Dave filoni
I watched this episode before mandalorian 3x2 cause I thought it would act as a build up to the big show, but that was some of the best of Star Wars I’ve seen in awhile.
The sad reality of the clone troopers. Forced to fight in the war, killed the only people that actually cared about them, and discarded as trash once the war was over
When The Bad Batch hits like this, it is such a masterfully tragic epilogue for the story of the clones, especially for my generation who grew up with Clone Wars, watching them being heroes, fighting and willingly dying for the Republic that they were so fiercely loyal to. And now for us to be grown up and to be given this new story where they are treated like discardable garbage, like used equipment as the lieutenant put it, is probably the deepest cut and the most hurt I have ever been by any movie or show I've ever watched. The clones are a visual representation of my childhood and that of many others, and so seeing them like this is beyond just twisting the knife. It's more like twisting the knife, breaking it off, and then pouring salt into the wound.
it felt so good seeing crosshairs kill that lieutenant, i think i hate him the most out of any so far. The empire getting rid of rampart was a mistake since he at least was logical and didn't blindly waste clones
It's crazy how they developed such a great character like Mayday and got us to connect to him in such a short time, now that's how you make a character
I immediately feel in love with Mayday because of his beard then I went on to love him even more because of his character. I’ve always loved the Bad Batch even when some of the episodes sucked so Im happy to see we’re getting some amazing episodes back to back. Can’t wait for next week’s episode
All these new commanders Wilco, died because he was following orders , Mayday died because he was refused the help he needed. Their deaths corresponds to their names.
I loved this episode so much! I felt like everything about it was just perfect in every aspect. The the story, the action, the emotion, the symbolism and how gripping and tense some of the scenes were made this episode feel so amazing. I also loved the score for this episode, it gave off everything feeling this episode was going for, dark and ominous, emotional and sort of monumental at times. And just like always, the animation is super beautiful, and stunning, it just seemed like every scene on this ice planet and for the couple of minutes on Coruscant and the interiors took things up to the next level when it came to the coloring and detail. It was all really amazing and just so visually pleasing with each new shot. Starting it off it was great to see Crosshair again, I was so glad that we were finally able to check in on his story again. And l boy did he go through some stuff in his episode. He had so much character growth/ exploration in just this episode alone it was amazing. We see how he starts out still following the Empire’s orders and still a little unfeeling towards things. But then by the end we see him disobey orders by choosing to save another soldiers life, rather than bring back the crates. And just to see him finally (after everything the Empire has caused him) crack and break out of his ways and finally stand up to the Empire was so exhilarating. Seeing him go through this journey was incredible. Now I’ve got to talk about Lieutenant Nolan, this dude was the biggest pompous Imperial stereotype I have seen in a while. He honestly felt like a bigger jerk than Tarkin. But I will say this, he was actually a compelling hatable Imperial/ character which made it far easier to root against him and want to see him get killed. Speaking of which, I cannot express just how glad I was when I saw Crosshair finally kill this dude. And I loved Mayday. First off, I loved his personality and how he seemed like he was tired of the Empire but knew this was the only true path he could have. I also really liked his design, with the long hair and beard and how dirty and damaged his armor was to the point where most of it was all bandaged together. Which makes the scene where he realizes all the crates are filled with gear that he and his men could’ve been using if the Empire had given them the permission even sadder and more ironic. And I think that he was able to perfectly fill the role for Crosshair’s reason for going against the Empire. Not only does he symbolize the morality and overall thoughts of all the Clones now, but we see throughout the episode how Mayday is able to appeal to Crosshair by talking to him how the Empire doesn’t care about Clones. And over the course of the episode the two of them bond. Which is what made it so much more devastating to Crosshair when Lieutenant Nolan refused to help. And this show got me again man, they introduced another cool Clone with an interesting personality, who had a really unique looking design and then they get rid of/ kill him off within the same episode. Overall, it was just really sad to see Mayday die after everything he and Crosshair went through. I am also very curious to see what the Empire would want from Crosshair at Mount Tantiss. I have a feeling though that it is going to have to do something with the Empire trying to lure in the Bad Batch and Omega. I just really loved this episode so much. It was perfect, it felt so amazing in every aspect and served as a deep emotional experience, character exploration and as a fantastic way to advance the overall story of the Bad Batch series. I am super curious to see where the rest of the story will lead the Batch and what will happen in next week’s episode.
they got 4 episodes left and crosshair still is a BB member that’s why his POV should count just as much as hunter’s and same with echo hope we get some one off episodes with him & rex doing cool shit
"I don't like used equipment." Sooo... you'd rather have a brand new squad of newbs for every mission you command? That's the dumbest thing anyone has ever said, ever.
Hey Rejects, there are 16 episodes NOT 14. We still have two more one off missions before the season finale double episode. Three more weeks of multi SW content on Wed with TBB and Mando
Would be fun if Crosshair ends up becoming the prototype for the Dark Trooper project, pretty sure Gideon mentioned that they started with humans, just like in the old EU, Clones were used as the first after all.
Loved your commentary, and couldn't agree more about this episode. It really does stand on its own as a perfect capture of the state of a part of this universe. I also agree that the Lieutenant was quite caricature and not given much dimension here. I've kind of gotten used to that in the animated shows. But there are obviously some prominent (and calculated) exceptions like Thrawn and Kallus. And many of the Imperials of Andor.
Beautiful, powerful episode. I shed a tear when Crosshair carried his fellow soldier through the snow, again when Mayday died, and then cheered for him when he shot that dreadful Imp and changed the course of life. Filoni at the top of his game.
One of the best episodes of the show. Will love a Crosshair Show. He's the best character in the show and him turning on The Empire is so satisfying. RIP Mayday. Excited for the rest and hope to get Ahsoka meeting The Bad Batch.
Part 1 Omega gets captured, Cid tells the guys where she is. They go find Echo and help him out first Part 2 Hunter, Wrecker, Tech get back together with Echo and come to save Omega while saving AND Reuniting with Crosshair to save the day!
When mayday says, "we were good soldiers and followed orders.. and for what" ... perfect writing. Allows Crosshair to realize the whole point ("good soldiers follow orders") he had rationalized against Hunter and his brothers..was wrong.. and they were right.
I believe that in the Star Wars:Legends the replacement of the clones with Stormtroopers made more sense because the Kaminoans rebelled against the Empire and the clones sided with them. The Empire retaliated by destroying Kamino and the clones.
Crosshairs has earn my full respect after this episode. He finally realized that his family.. His Brothers are above following orders blindly and that The Empire are just using them to dispose them. Please I hope Cody saves him or Echo and Rex save him before the empire tries to kill him or he escapes and fleas to find the bad batch 💯
This episode was awesome, it got me thinking, did Cody really go AWOL or was he sent to Tantis for experimentation to find if his chip had malfunctioned
Great episode.. I was just waiting for crosshair to shot lieutenant dickwad when it happened I laughed with glee lol!! RIP mayday he was coolio. I’m worried what they are gonna do to crosshair. Two great Star Wars episodes today Loved the reaction guys may the force be with you x
16 episodes a season, so there are 4 episodes left, not 2. Is this supposed to be the final season? Sure hope not. So much more to explore during this period of time.
Ok, this drastically changes my opinions and ideas from the last episode. I mentioned previously that if/when Omega gets captured, the Bad Batch would go after her and possibly recruit Rex and Echo as backup, and possibly Cody once we know where he is at right now. I now believe that the empire will be experimenting on Crosshair, as they did in the very first episode. They may have him as security or something on mount tantiss since that is very likely where he is at the end of this episode. After everything that has happened to him this season, chances are Crosshair will help the Bad Batch get Omega back, and be part of the squad once again in season 3. I still believe that Omega may cross paths with Grogu during her time in captivity in the mountain, therefore leading them to save him as well. They could then leave Grogu with some people they may trust, who then lose him somewhere down the road, leading him to where he is in the first episode of the Mandalorian. It's no coincidence that they started streaming season 3 of the Mandalorian while the Bad Batch still has some more episodes to go through. I also think there will be more things going on in the background in the final episodes revolving around the clones since they are clearly leading up to the clone rebellion, which I would love to see the Bad Batch organize and lead since they were their own independent squad during the clone wars.
That is awful. You're not getting the full experience what's even the point? If you don't want to pay for Disney plus I get that just pirate it. The fact you would admit that is as mental as not watching the full episode. Reactions are not market substitutes.
My take is Crosshair WILL meet the BB again. After all he is held at Mt Tantiss, AND BB are looking for it (although they dont know that yet), AND Empire is looking for BB to bring them to Dr Hemlock - to eliminate witnessess AND bring Omega to threaten Kaminoan scientist. Everything is converging at this point... Just we dont know how it will end. I see 3 paths for Crosshair: -Redemption thru death - he saves the BB and dies. -Redemption thru Friendship - he rejoins the BB -Escape and life of renegade - maybe bounty hunter? Anyway, he is done with serving the Empire, because Empire doesnt need him anymore - except for being lab rat...
Quite possibly, the darkest episode in The Bad Batch. I guess Crosshair got too much of a fill of The Empire's way of "protecting" the galaxy. He doesn't like being seen as just an expendable asset, along with the rest of the clones. How interesting, that a "disobedient clone" ends up on Mount Tantiss. I wonder: Have a selection of uncooperative Clones been "used" to create those Clone Assassins We saw in the Mid-Season Finale? Could Howzer be one of the Clones "housed" there, since We last saw him? I'm curious: How many current military and former military veterans do We have watching this excellent series? Because, the characterization of Clone Force 99 and The Regs seem very much authentic to actual military forces. Someone on the writing team must either have military experience, is related to ones who served, or has access to people who've had military experience, as consultants for the storytelling. I do know that Dave Filoni has military in his background, on his Father's side, I believe; so, I'm sure that informs some of what's being depicted here. It was a really good, impactful 1-2 punch combo, experiencing, "The Mines Of Mandalore" (Mythosaur!!!) and "The Outpost" back-to-back. As always, a quality reaction, Greg and Mike. May The Force Be With You.
Story arcs are where it's at, imo. I don't think of the single story episodes as "filler" as they flesh out the main characters and the SW universe during this period in general, but they don't have nearly the same effectiveness as the serial episodes. Episode 3 and this one could have easily followed one after the other (well maybe with Metamorphosis between them to explain the Tanis stuff). The Clone Conspiracy and Truth and Consequences were the most compelling episodes of S2 after those two. I liked the ipsium mine episodes a little less than the others I just mentioned, but they were still good character development episodes that showed the progressive detachment from Cid. The Phee tombraiding episode seemed the most totally random, but my guess is that Phee will help the Batch out from whatever fix Cid will put them in. My hope is that she's friends with Hondo, who might appear near the end of the season.

Loved this episode. so emotional, so cruel, and so unemotional (from the Empire side) at the same time.
There’s 4 more episodes, not 2
3:30
clone 1 : it’s apparently above a clone troopers pay grade.
Clone 2: you guys are getting payed?
No the joke is clones weren’t paid I’m pretty sure, the TK troopers knew what the gear was because they get paid😂.
I believe that in the Star Wars:Legends the replacement of the clones with Stormtroopers made more sense because the Kaminoans rebelled against the Empire and the clones sided with them. The Empire retaliated by destroying Kamino and the clones.
The Crosshair episodes have been so fire🔥
brilliant episode! this one really got me
26:45 this is part of why Andor was so great
Finally Crosshair is alive after failing his mission
he will be saved by his bad batch teammates
Crosshairs has earn my full respect after this episode. He finally realized that his family.. His Brothers are above following orders blindly and that The Empire are just using them to dispose them. Please I hope Cody saves him or Echo and Rex save him before the empire tries to kill him or he escapes and fleas to find the bad batch 💯
This episode was awesome, it got me thinking, did Cody really go AWOL or was he sent to Tantis for experimentation to find if his chip had malfunctioned
Shame we just met Mayday and hes gone now. Another great Crosshair episode. The music for some reason really stood out to me in this one
Bad batch in season 2 is the janitor who supported green squad where fives and echo belong
How they were treated upon arrival is what I imagine many of our veterans feel like. Also there’s 4 more episodes not 2
Thank you for sharing this movie I am your bigest fan reel rejects❤
Great episode.. I was just waiting for crosshair to shot lieutenant dickwad when it happened I laughed with glee lol!! RIP mayday he was coolio. I’m worried what they are gonna do to crosshair. Two great Star Wars episodes today Loved the reaction guys may the force be with you x
16 episodes a season, so there are 4 episodes left, not 2.
Is this supposed to be the final season? Sure hope not. So much more to explore during this period of time.
6:43 Bruh, Disney totally would pull some shit like that 😭
The officer voice hits hard
Just so y’all know there’s 4 more episodes, not 2. So 2 more weeks of normal episodes and then a 2 part finale.
We have 4 more episodes left!
Love the show so much I just wish it was live action ….I feel like that would have been so cool
Okay but Mayday's armour looked awesome.
Don't have Disney+ so I watch the episodes here😆 thank you RR!
That is awful. You're not getting the full experience what's even the point? If you don't want to pay for Disney plus I get that just pirate it. The fact you would admit that is as mental as not watching the full episode. Reactions are not market substitutes.
@@DazHotep6EQUJ5 you're so right! Let me get your Disney+ password so I can get the full experience... please
@@divadsanders Just use soap2day or Flixhq. You can watch shows and movies here for free
People were easier to bend to the Dark Side and to the Emperor Palpatine's will than clones.
Could the emperor have just been storing these here until his plan reached the stormtrooper stage? and how long
Mayday: Dengar in clone armor🤣
This episode was AWESOME
There are 16 episodes according to Wookiepedia.
Hmm why would they take crosshair to the cloners on tantiss? Its getting interesting
A lure perhaps?
Prediction for the last episodes: Jar Jar makes a surprise appearance
da empire is in bombad trouble now meesa thinks
My take is Crosshair WILL meet the BB again. After all he is held at Mt Tantiss, AND BB are looking for it (although they dont know that yet), AND Empire is looking for BB to bring them to Dr Hemlock - to eliminate witnessess AND bring Omega to threaten Kaminoan scientist. Everything is converging at this point... Just we dont know how it will end.
I see 3 paths for Crosshair:
-Redemption thru death - he saves the BB and dies.
-Redemption thru Friendship - he rejoins the BB
-Escape and life of renegade - maybe bounty hunter?
Why didn’t we get more of this
I knew Nolan was voiced by Crispin Freeman because I heard bits of Itachi slip through
John and Coy should react to Deathstroke Knights and Dragons
