I like how when Crosshair and Omega were talking, Batcher was chasing the monkeys. I also like how Batcher barks at the ice worm and chases after it. She probably believes that she is chasing it away instead of the force field being reactivated.
This show is demonstrating the difference in quality from having actual professional writers at the helm. All of the tension and story beats between Hunter and Crosshair were perfect this episode. We need to put as much respect on Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett's names as the actual showrunners of Bad Batch, they deserve the credit way more than Filoni who is way more removed on this show.
The Star Wars shows (even the mid ones like Kenobi and BOBF, which had some behind the scene troubles) have always felt like they were at least better than the Marvel ones When we found out the MCU shows literally didn't have showrunners until Bob Iger, it all made sense
Corbett and Rau were hired by Dave Filoni. He co-created the show with George Lucas (the premise for this series was gestated around Season 6 of TCW). You think Corbett and Rau are making narrative decisions WITHOUT Dave Filoni being aware? That would be like saying that Dave Filoni deserves more credit for The Mandalorian, because he wrote and directed some of the best episodes in it. Let's just be thankful and appreciative that We have a collective of excellent writers, who can work together and in various separate groups. This is way more in line with how Lucas ran his creative works.
i like what you said about people forgeting about veterans after the uniform is off. I am a vet i feel they can do more for us who need help. Not just saying thank you for your service. otherwise i did enjoy your review of the episode

We are going to get Asajj Ventress and Nik Futterman coming back from Clone Wars and seeing her crossing paths with The Bad Batch can't wait. Next week we will have 2 episode drop.
Can’t believe you guys missed the Jurassic Park homage with Omega instructing Wrecker getting the power back online. She even had him “Prime” it like Ellie had to. 🦖
Dude, what you just said right there hit me in the feels. As one of those veterans that have been discarded, and left behind... that concept of raising an army quick, not just for battle, but so that they could die quicker after their use is insanely profound. @28:48, as someone who has delt with the sides of the military that are not spoken about and has shaped me throughout my life and all, it really hit me hard. Thank you, for not only saying this, but making me felt seen in a way I haven't been able to see myself in. And mind you, I'm not a veteran who was at war, but if you check the real data on this, you'll see that those that are not in combat are more likely to unalive themselves than those who do. And it's never spoken about, and we get shit from those who deem us not worthy of any praise for the things we've done while serving. There are a lot of positions in the military, not everyone holds a rifle and charges into battle, but we all sure as hell end up with scars and trauma. So, thank you Michael, seriously. Thank you
The fact that this episode of The Return aired 1 year after The Outpost was just poetic work on their part. Then Crosshair’s theme being more uplifting when he came out with his old outfit. Then him laughing at Omega’s joke, I was just weak this whole episode.
"Miss, are you telling Us absolutely everything?" -- Passenger "Well, not exactly...We're also out of coffee." -- Elaine Mike, you're right: If you don't have hot coffee available, everything's gonna break down. Even in a galaxy far, far away. ☕ BTW: Am I the only person who thinks We might, after all, get a Clone Rebellion, just on Mount Tantiss instead? That would be a brilliant twist, yet still remain faithful to The EU's story of how things changed for The Clone Army so quickly, with The Empire being victorious in their carnage and manipulation of public opinion re: The Clones.
At least Batcher has been shown to be on-screen more usefully valuable & working well with the others than AZ has And you gotta love that Everybody Loves Echo
I loved this episode! I think they did an all around amazing job when making this episode. This entire episode was filled with so many amazing scenes and moments, I think they were able to do a great job at bring the whole episode together. I thought that the writing was fantastic, the voice acting was perfect as always, and the animation was beautiful and was able to perfectly capture whatever it was trying to portray. And the music for this episode was fantastic, I really loved all the different variations of Crosshair’s/Mayday’s theme they played throughout this episode, I really liked how different they were and how they were able to reflect the tone of the specific scene they were in. I’m so glad that they brought the Kiners back to do this shows score, I can’t wait to hear more of the music they have composed for this season. I really hope that the show is able to continue, keep up with or in some capacity even improve upon this level of great care and high quality that was put into each aspect of these first handful of episodes for the rest of this season. It was really great to finally get to see Echo and AZI again, I really hope that they both continue to appear throughout the season. I have a feeling that the more the Bad Batch gets involved in what’s happening at Mount Tantiss, the more Echo, Rex and the Clone Rebellion will come into play/focus this season. And although it only lasted for a couple seconds, I absolutely loved the moment between Crosshair and Omega where Omega call’s Crosshair “little brother” it was just so wholesome and heartwarming. I also really liked how the Batch could never bring themselves to get rid of Crosshairs armor. I thought it was a great way to show that despite the fact he was with the Empire, there was always a part of all of them that hoped he would come back one day. And it was also just cool to get to see Crosshair wearing his old Clone Wars armor again, it makes him feel like he’s becoming a member of the team again. And I loved that we returned to the planet from the episode “The Outpost” from Season 2. I think that was such a smart decision and made for a great way to show Crosshair’s want to distance himself from his past with the Empire but also his inability to currently coincide with the Bad Batch because of that past. Another little moment that I really loved getting to see from this episode was when Crosshair paid his respects to Mayday and his men by placing their helmets back up on the crates where they had been originally placed. I especially loved all of the interactions between Hunter and Crosshair throughout this episode. All of the moments of tension between the two of them were really great and led to a lot of great scenes, whether it be with or without the use of dialogue. But I loved the discussion they had at the end of the episode and the understanding that they were able to reach. I think the dialogue/writing, music and voice acting all came together really perfectly in this moment to make this scene even more compelling, touching and impactful. I can’t wait to get to see more of all these members of the Bad Batch work together as a team again, hopefully throughout the rest of this season. So far I am really loving everything about this show and I can’t wait to see the rest of the season and where all the characters and this story and will go next. I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s episode, I am really appreciating and looking forward to seeing it. I’m all around just so excited to get to see Bad Batch’s Third and Final Season continue.
Thx fellows. I love the Bad Batch and I loved this episode. Given y'all stated that the emphasis on Tech last Season indicated that he would die, I think the emphasis on Crosshair this season may mean that he may die. I really liked getting his explanation of his choices. I think this series may set off the Clone Rebellion unless mostly all Clones are on Tantiss which may be the Clone Rebellion. I do not know what the details are of this event. Omega has always been my favorite character, but I love all my Bad Batchers. I was also glad to see AZ as I noted his absence in the prior episodes of this season.
Ive not seen a lot of people point this out yet but after they got rid of the worm they were holding shovels. Hunter and Crosshair buried those clones together😭
For sure think we’re heading to clone rebellion and the theme of the batch finding their freedom by helping free the clones on Tantis. But will be interesting to see how that plays out, who survives and what we end up with at the end
LMFAO how could he think that the assault on Mount Tantis could happen in another show? Think I wanna wait 2 years or something for a new show to be announced, cast and creted before we get some closure? That's insane. How could that even cross his mind?
What if there's something similar to an Order 66 kill-switch? What if Order 67 is "kill yourselves"? So only the Bad Batch, Rex and clones with no chip survive?
Oh boo hoo. Someone actually has a different opinion than you. Who cares. Shit like The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones, The Clone Wars Movie, etc. all suck too.
@jasonmarbach7800 the main reason people whine about this movie is because they made Luke feel like an actual character with real problems instead of some perfect overpowered Gary Stue Space Jesus.

The scene of Crosshair looking at Mayday's helmet got me BAD. I cried when he started arranging the helmets in respect.

Crosshair remembering Mayday actually made me sad. The same theme played too.
Amazing episode!!!! Started to cry when I saw that they were headed to the outpost! Then when Crosshair put Mayday’s helmet on the crate. 😭
