@@josephweigel3832 Actually, before that. The first book starts right after the unfortunate event in 1981. Ten years went by and we got brought to 10 year old Harry trying to struggle with Dursleys. There was no actual scene about the death of Harry's parents other than Pensieve in the 7th book (memories of Severus Snape).
The thing with the wolfsbane potion is that, while it did help Lupin keep his mind as a werewolf, it was both difficult to make and very expensive. So Lupin couldn't really have made it. So his Lycanthropy would have been a MUCH bigger problem.
They also probably would not have taken the portrait of Phineas Nigellus Black with them so Snape would not have found them to give them the Sword of Gryffindor. And even if they would have taken it with them and Snape would have casted the silver doe Remus would have asumed it to be an ambush. Without the sword they would not have had anything to offer to Griphook for his help to break into Gringotts if they somehow would have ended in Malfoy Manor anyway.
@@aquamarin4851 i know right - its the main fault with the harry potter books either its a massive plot-hole or everything fits together overly well 😄.. Dont get me wrong i love the books their my favourite franchise
His character (Potter) was really well-written. For this topic, his lack of maturity was highlighted. He did the thing most of us at that age - tried to do it all alone. The scope of what he was doing required help, and leaving people like Lupin out shows how lucky Potter really was by completing his quest
If the trio weren't captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, they wouldn't have met Bellatrix and found out that there was a horcrux in her vault, so they would maybe never have found Hufflepuff's Cup.
The only thing that I think would have got left out is that they figured out from Malfoy Manor that one of the hocruxes was in Bellatrix LeStrange's vault. If they never went to the manor they never would have found that particular hocrox
Harry was right. You don't leave your pregnant wife. Afterwards, Lupus asked Harry to be the Godfather of Teddy. He also said he was sorry for cussing Harry out and that Harry was right for not letting Lupus come with them
I def agree that if Lupin came along and assisted in the finding of these horcruxes, as being more experienced (as already mentioned in the video) and more mature than the others (not that they weren't already mature) but there times in the movie that things happened cause of their not being careful or cautious, like Ron being Splinched and others incidents.
I agree, but since he’s a werewolf, during his transformations, he might accidentally attack the golden trio, what he might put them into further pressure.
Absolutely enjoy your youtube channel! I believe it's one of the best channels on youtube for me. I have 2 suggestions for future topics to talk about (if you haven't done so already) 1. Can you do a video explaining what hexes, curses, charms, etc are? I guess like the type of spells that would make someone call it a hex or a curse or charm, etc. 2. What would happen if Hagrid never got expelled from Hogwarts? How would he have helped with the first and second wizarding wars? What kind of wizard would he become and what type of job would he have went for when he graduated Hogwarts? Please continue to do what you love to do, it clearly inspires myself and many other subscribers to your channel!
Just finished re-reading this. They wouldn't have broken into Gringotts if they didn't get taken to Malfoy Manor. Harry only decides to check there because Bellatrix was petrified for her life when she thought they had been in her vault to get the sword and didn't know the sword in her vault was a fake. Also if Lupin had joined as he requested, they would not have told him they were hunting horcruxes so he wouldn't have known anything about the locket and Ron would have still left, probably arguing with Lupin in a similar way to how Harry did at Grimauld place in the canon timeline. I believe when Ron returned however, Lupin would go back to Tonks, knowing that he wasn't meant to be there and blaming himself for Ron's departure.
Remus would change so much in the horcrux hunt, most for the better, but I'd still rather he stay with his family. He's deprived of happiness since he was a child (being infected at such early age, growing thinking he's a danger, not having friends, etc.), he found friends in Hogwarts but taken away from him the night Voldemort got to the Potters (Lily and James died, he thought Peter died too, and Sirius imprisoned). He found happiness and love once again with Tonks even though it was taken away from him since he died in the Battle of Hogwarts. I'd rather have him enjoy his time taking care of his wife and child than joining horcrux hunt.
When you said Remus would have duelled Scabior or Greyback, there is no doubt that he would have at least attempted (but probably succeeded) in getting revenge on Greyback for passing on the condition. It’s a random thought but it probably would have satisfied Remus
I really enjoyed this video thank you so much! I do feel like Remus might have had a panic attack, or an extreme rage when they met Greyback; had he not been bitten, everything would have been different, maybe the potters could have lived: maybe he would have told James not to switch from Sirius to Peter as secret keeper. I think he might have felt so angry, seeing what all of this had done to him, and the trio, he might have lost it, resulting to them being taken to the manor.
Thank you!! You gave me information about the characters in Harry Potter. You made me cry sometimes because of the stories!! But then I love them thank you so much!!😗😗
If they hadn’t been brought to Malfoy Manor, they also wouldn’t have learned about the location of Hufflepuff’s cup through Bellatrix’s fear of her vault being robbed. Not getting the goblin as a temporary ally would have also hindered any possible mission to retrieve the cup in the event they somehow figured it out.
Thank you so much Dean! This was an extremely well executed video! Do you (and anyone else!) think that anyone else besides Lupin would be extremely helpful? Or was he the only person for it? Keep up the good work!
I personally feel like Remus would die anyway. The snatchers/death eaters would find them in the forest and Remus would distract them to give the trio more time. Harry would look back to see Remus fighting 10 at once but ultimately getting struck down by an Avada Kedavra. Harry would be upset, find the snatchers/death eaters that killed remus. He would fight them alone and get captured and taken to Malfoy manor and the story continues as it did. Minus Remus in the final battle. Who knows, maybe tonks won't die because she stayed to look after her fatherless baby.
Thank's a lot for the video. I just love Potter discussions with other nerds! Well, it's no secret why Harry only shared his secret with Hermione and Ron. Dumbledore wanted it to be secret, hidden, with Harrys best friends as only exception. In fact, if he were not dying he propably wouldn't even have told Harry. So Harry merely trusted Dumbledores judgement when turning Lupin down in Grimmauld Place in book 7, and that's, ironicly, what Lupin recommended all to do in book 6. To trust Dumbledores judgement. It's only at the very end of book 7 Harry is persuaded to let go of just That particular aspect of Dumbledores judgement!
Remember he’s a werewolf, if he joined the hunt then he might accidentally Attack the golden trio. They have to figure out a place for him to transform in the middle of the forest and if they do get attacked, it’ll definitely put them into more pressure. I do agree that the whole hunt would’ve become a bit easier, but we have to consider this too... Anyways, great video, as ALWAYS ❤️
Remus did run to the trio when they were at 12 grindermole place because he was scared that his kid would be a werewolf but harry shouted at him and call him a corward for leaving his tonks and unborn child so remus went back to his tonks (deathly hallows page 175 chapter 11 the bribe)
He might have been able to prevent Ron from leaving, but i'm not so sure that would have been a good thing. Ron leaving, returning and destroying the Horcrux, was an important milestone in Ron's development. Without it, Ron might have turned out quite different. Not to mention that Lupin's own private life would have turned ou different, even if he had survived. I always had a feeling that Lupin was a bit callous with Tonks, even if he was convinced that it was for the best. Would Tonks have taken Lupin back after essentially abandoning her for a year?
I don't think Lupin would have known about the Hallows since most don't, but if Lupin did know, then he would have mentioned it at some point in the books considering one of his closest friends had the invisibility cloak which closely resembled the 3rd Hallow. I also don't think Lupin would have been able to sustain himself with the Wolfbane Potion. It is mentioned in Book 3 that Lupin is a bad potionbrewer and the Wolfbane potion is both extremely difficult and expensive to make. There's no way he would have been able to keep a good supply of the potion while on the run.
Harry Potter Folklore Every month full moon they would have to spend 3 days dealing with Lupin’s condition, and have to keep trying to make the anti potion daily to feed Lupin. This would slow them down even more. Additionally the fact he had a child on the way complicates things too greatly. There was a reason Dumbledor didn’t want additional people knowing and JK as well.
Curios theory.. Xenolos Lovegood is Grindelwalds son. He wears the same insignia, same hair colour.. But lost his mind after the loss of his love. Luna being just as crazy really, has also revealed that she holds immense power really if we think about it. She found Harry under his cloak (only in the movie of course) but she also saw through the polyjuice elixir he took during the wedding without any issues. There's something going on there! òÓ
He was wearing the symbol of the Deathly Hollows, not Grindelwald's insignia. And there are a lot of people with that hair color. About him losing his minds after the death of his wife, maybe.
Also, xenophileas lovegood was born at earliest 1940, while grindlewald was born 1883 making him atleast 57 when he was born, also after 1945 he was in prison so..... yea. But I like the theory!
Remus probably would have proposed a back-up location on Ministry Infiltration Day to avoid inadvertently breaking the Fidelius charm in the event of a sloppy escape, which is exactly what happened. A fourth (probably Remus or Hermione) would have been able to stay at the safe location (lets just say, the Forest of Dean) to receive the infiltrators and help them fight off any company they couldn't shake before safely returning to Grimauld Place, and no camping all winter for the trio!
Great video as always mate but the reason Harry doesn't ask for anyone else's help is mentioned multiple times in the books. The reason you stated may be one of the underlying reasons but the main reason is because Dumbledore tells him not to speak of the Horocruxes to anyone but Ron and Hermoine.
It's interesting, but I think the vulnerability and isolation that came from the trio having no guiding adult rhetoric behind them e.g. Dumbeldore, Sirius, or Lupin in past books, is what made the last book and 2 films so unique; they matured far beyond their years, and the stakes at play were far greater with such a sense of unease and abandonment.
He may have been a set back due to his overly cautious nature, he may have held them back from infiltrating the ministry and may not have been able to partake due to his lycanthropy which may make him 'immune' to polyjuice potion which was designed for human use only (This is only an assumption). I don't think he would have recognised the symbol of the deathly hallows as very few wizards realised their existance not even Tom Riddle (though this may be due to his muggle upbringing and never being told the tales of beedle the bard). Even if the trio did infiltrate the ministry (assuming my polyjuice theory is correct) He may have been killed at 12 Grimauld Place after death eaters and maby even Tom Riddle himself no-doubtedly ransacked the place after Yaxley was braught inside the confines of the fidelius charm. Love the channel, especially the life of... series!!!
Dang imagine when the snatchers showed up if Lupin was with them. The morale boost alone would have made the trio take every snatcher out along with Lupin
Every time you put out a video I save it so I can listen to it when I'm doing maintenance work at the school I get so much crap for it to your Channel FSN Undisputed gamerex never miss a show every day I even go back and listen to all of your old videos if I can't remember what you said and I know I watched it before you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs of all time I can't wait for the new Fantastic Beasts movie and I'm really looking forward just seeing how Dumbledore nullifies this Blood contract
I'm only partially into the video and I can see another problem besides fear of losing Lupin too: Lupin's a werewolf. While Lupin may have been able to get the wolfsbane potion while not really on the run, he certainly would find it hard to come by while running about with "Undesirable #1". As such, the risk of Harry, Ron, and Hermoine being bitten would be pretty great. And they already had the painful memory of what happened the LAST time Lupin lacked a Wolfsbane potion: he transformed, Pettigrew escaped, and Pettigrew brought Voldermort back. As such, I'm VERY surprised Harry didn't point this out as well when Lupin wanted to go with him. I think one reason, perhaps, he didn't, was because he thought his child would be like him and thus he wasn't fit to be a father and bla bla bla, and reminding Lupin of his condition here would have made matters worse, so instead he mentioned how James wouldn't have wanted him to walk out on his family.
I remember reading the convo between Lupin and Harry when I was a kid about how he wanted to come along and was very disappointed that he didn’t and the fact that they left the scene out of the movie
I like this theory, although a couple facts you got slightly wrong. Ron had not long returned to hermoine and Harry after having a fight and leaving them for a while. When he was splinched badly was after leaving the ministry with the necklace horcrux and they attempted to go to grimmauld place but with Yaxley holding onto hermoine they had to disaparate again because he now knew how to get into the property and they were no longer safe. The snatchers didn’t arrive then when they went to live in the tent and moving from forest to other areas, Ron did however have a feeling that Voldemort’s name was unlucky to say so they referred to him as you know who for a while before even knowing about the taboo. Ron knew about the taboo when he returned to them because he lives with bill for a while when he left who was apart of the order and knew about it.
This scene where Remus tries to come with them actually happened. Also, You said the outcome of the series would be different, but didn't ouline how. The interesting part is that wormtail probably wouldn't die in this situation. And percy would still be under the imperious curse.
this is an amazing theory! I have a suggestion to you, Dean, could you maybe do a video about what if other people in the story accompanied the trio in the hunt.
I have to say, this is unrelated to the overall point of this video. But everyone says that Sirius is the one man Harry looked to has a father figure. Everyone also talks of Molly practically adopting Harry, Treating him like another son (and Hermione has another daughter really). So where is the love for Arthur? It wasn’t just Molly that treated Harry like another son, it was Molly and Arthur.
I agree. Arthur should be considered a father figure for Harry. In my opinion Harry has three father figures. Arthur, Sirius and Snape. Arthur's been there since chamber of secrets. Sirius risked his life and died protecting Harry, also in the books, he gives Harry a lot of advice. Snape's more of a tough love father figure though who secretly cares for him over time but won't admit. Remus and Hagrid I see them as more of Harry's uncles than anything else. Uncles he should have had growing up.
evie shamrooney I would not consider Snape a father figure. Snaps was always cruel, Harry knew nothing of his ulterior motives until after the fact. It wasn’t tough love, it was bias and cruelty, much like Vernon really. Snape was a terrible teacher and he did not care for Harry, only agreed to protect Harry, because of his love for Lilly. Really the only advise he gave Harry was about closing his mind, not wearing his emotions on his sleeve. Other then that, it was mostly insults and threats. Vernon is the perfect example of how to not be a father. Showing Harry what happens when you both spoil and neglect a child
Good Theory.! I also think that lupin would have been called back when his son was born and given the trio a good start. But in the end he would not be able to find them and it would still have happened the same way sort of. It is just another theory. You put way more effort in your theories, and I like your more. Keep up the great work
This is off topic but I wonder if wizards believe in science or not. I mean they have astronomy as their subject which is obviously related to physics. Can you make a video about it?
Do you have a Theory you can make for if Tom Riddle could love what might of happened or if he somehow did fall in love and if he fell for someone in a different house
I 100% think his Lycanthropy would be a serious problem. As Remus wasn't good enough at potions to brew it, and they can't brew it at Grimauld (sorry about my spelling) place. The Half blood princes book would have been useful, but I doubt Harry would have it. In Grimauld place, they could restrain him, but if they went the route where they hide in different places, I doubt they could restrain him easily. So it would be a terrifying issue.
Please read the 6th & 7th books and make another analysis on the same subject because there’s both major and minor details that were left out of the movies as listed below: Major details in book 1. Harry found out already knew about 5 of the 6 horcruxes (the ring, the book, slithery a locket, hufflepuffs cup and nagini) they didn’t know what the last horcruxes was but being nothing of gryfindors historical items were missing they assumed it had to do with ravenclaw by the 6th book. There were more memories shown in 6th book which dumbledore helped Harry narrowed down voldemorts horcruxes to powerful magical objects especially to do with Hogwarts due to it being the first real home he had. Minor detail 1. Hermione used a spell to summon all books on horcruxes after dumbledores funeral which flew from the late headmasters office to the gryfindor common room. HOWEVER in these books she learns how to both MAKE AND DESTROY horcruxes. They just didn’t have a weapon on hand and were unable to find something strong enough while camping in the woods
I think there are good reasons for him to go motivations for Remus to go with the trio and ones. You covered the good really well, that he wanted to make a better world for his son. What wasn’t covered was the bad reason or motivation to go. Remus had so much self loathing and fear that his son would be a werewolf too. It was easier to run off with the trio on a quest than face his worst fears and commit himself to Tonks and the child. I think if he had he could have helped the trio. But in the long run abandoning Tonks to go on the hunt for however long it took would have changed him, he would have lost himself in a way. Just a theory.
Thank you for making my day just that much better as you aways do! You are truly amazing dean and I’m so grateful that you make these videos and put so much effort in everyone 💛💛💛💛 thank you so much, you have know idea how much what you do means to me 💛💛💛💛

SNAPE
😭😭😭
Sirius hit HARD, I was crying for hours 😭😭😭😭
The thing with the wolfsbane potion is that, while it did help Lupin keep his mind as a werewolf, it was both difficult to make and very expensive. So Lupin couldn't really have made it. So his Lycanthropy would have been a MUCH bigger problem.
Just another pointer if they never went to malfoy manor they wouldn't have found out about the horcrux in bellatrix's vault
For sure, if they encountered anything bad, he's put his life at risk to save the trio for definite
I’m very glad Dean that the theory’s are back they show your creative side not just the looking up stuff fact side glad there back thanks Dean
Man it’s 2 years later and your Harry Potter knowledge still awes me. You’re one of the best RUclipsrs on this website so keep up with good work bro
If the trio weren't captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, they wouldn't have met Bellatrix and found out that there was a horcrux in her vault, so they would maybe never have found Hufflepuff's Cup.
This theory was awesome. It doesn't seem like you left anything out. Good job, Dean!!!
The only thing that I think would have got left out is that they figured out from Malfoy Manor that one of the hocruxes was in Bellatrix LeStrange's vault. If they never went to the manor they never would have found that particular hocrox
But Remus did try to go with them. He and Harry fought about it
Ferretsays Dook that’s the point of this video
Maybe Harre might have accept that if remus didn't seem so neglecting to his family
Harry was right. You don't leave your pregnant wife. Afterwards, Lupus asked Harry to be the Godfather of Teddy. He also said he was sorry for cussing Harry out and that Harry was right for not letting Lupus come with them
Angel Gray Lupin not Lupus.
yep
I def agree that if Lupin came along and assisted in the finding of these horcruxes, as being more experienced (as already mentioned in the video) and more mature than the others (not that they weren't already mature) but there times in the movie that things happened cause of their not being careful or cautious, like Ron being Splinched and others incidents.
Had Remus gone to the Hunt, he would have eventually been consumed by the guilt of having abandoned his wife and child.
I agree, but since he’s a werewolf, during his transformations, he might accidentally attack the golden trio, what he might put them into further pressure.
Great Video! Remus Lupin is one of my favorite charackter and to watch a Video about him is really fantastic. Thanks for this!
Absolutely enjoy your youtube channel! I believe it's one of the best channels on youtube for me. I have 2 suggestions for future topics to talk about (if you haven't done so already)
I cannot believe that I have only just come across this video. Thanks Dean, great vid.

The artwork was made by OTTERANDTERRIER
Awwwww Hermiones patronus is an otter and Rons is a Jack Russell Terrier!
Awww soo cute!!!
Excellent job as always mate. Also it was at Malfoy Manor where they discovered the location of the cup horcrux. .
Did you ever wonder what Potter-head life would be like without this channel?
*hell*
This channel is so interesting :3
thank you for making harry potter theories and mystries.a great video and one of its kind
The image that you used for Greyback perfectly matches how terrifying Greyback is 😣
By-the-way, love the artwork and the talented artists used.
I really wish Remus and greyback had a duel at the battle of hogwarts. He could get some justice for his life of sadness before he died.
You are one of the best Harry Potter pages on RUclips
I personally feel like Remus would die anyway. The snatchers/death eaters would find them in the forest and Remus would distract them to give the trio more time. Harry would look back to see Remus fighting 10 at once but ultimately getting struck down by an Avada Kedavra. Harry would be upset, find the snatchers/death eaters that killed remus. He would fight them alone and get captured and taken to Malfoy manor and the story continues as it did. Minus Remus in the final battle. Who knows, maybe tonks won't die because she stayed to look after her fatherless baby.
They wouldn't be found by snatchers because the only reason they found harry and the other 2 was because Harry used Voldemorts name.
No because that never would had happen because they wpudnt had catch them with him because he would be more smarter
Jesus Christ Sounds Like Rowling Nice
Your videos are the best!! Could you do a video on “ What Would’ve Happened If Snape Married Lily?”
Teen Wolf plot twist ❗️
no
He already did
Hes done it.
So much thought, as usual, in this video. Fantastic!
Could you do a video concerning the afterlife in the Wizarding World?
Thanks man! Love your videos! You have my sub!
someone finally finds out how skilled remus is!
If he did go....*i would be utterly triggered leaving his UNBORN SON*
Dean have you every watched A Very Potter Musical
I hope he did :D
Oh I have watched that, it's AMAZING
This is amazing! Awesome job Dean!
Love your videos so much, dude!
Good theory! I totally understood and was thinking about it! I liked!
Your voice is so soothing ❤❤❤
I love these speculation/theory videos.
You're forgetting the most important thing, Remus was a Werewolf. At some point it was going to be a problem.
i absolutely love these types of videos!
It's thanks to you I may escape for a bit the Mugglelike day to day routine, Thanks Dean 💫💙
There's something going on there! òÓ
Mischa i'm pretty sure luna is a seer
She certainly has the personality for it!
wasn't Grindelwald gay???
Love the channel, especially the life of... series!!!
I think, at the end... That was good for them to be taken to the Malfoy Manor. This way they could save Luna and the others from there.
Dang imagine when the snatchers showed up if Lupin was with them. The morale boost alone would have made the trio take every snatcher out along with Lupin
can you do what if sirius black stayed in azkaban
Mundo Suryan Beilin then half the fandom would've died
Can you do a video of if Sirius Black lived?
I think that the warewolf part would have been a bigger problem but love your vids keep it up
I'm sorry I'm late!!! I didn't see the notification 😣 but I love the video. I thought of this too! I love your ideas 😊😁
Dobby and Wormtail might have lived longer, but Luna and Ollivander would have died. Ted Tonks might have lived.
I remember reading the convo between Lupin and Harry when I was a kid about how he wanted to come along and was very disappointed that he didn’t and the fact that they left the scene out of the movie
Another good video. Love 'em!
Dean you really inspire me!
The interesting part is that
wormtail probably wouldn't die in this situation.
@@nickschulte3915 that's just my opinion.

Could you do part 2?
Good Theory.! I also think that lupin would have been called back when his son was born and given the trio a good start. But in the end he would not be able to find them and it would still have happened the same way sort of. It is just another theory. You put way more effort in your theories, and I like your more. Keep up the great work
Amazing video! I have an idea for your next video, you make a video about what would have happened if Sirius Black wasn't killed .♥♥♥
Donatella Honey it’s been done.
Lupin may have been able to use fiend fire relatively safely to destroy the horcruxes.
in deathly hallows he actually asks them if he can come along with them but harry rages for some reason and remus ends up not coming.
Wow! Great video! This theory is quite interesting. Your videos are always so awesome and fascinating. 😍😘. I love your videos. 😘.

@@mattias2576 arithmacy duh
Do you have a Theory you can make for if Tom Riddle could love what might of happened or if he somehow did fall in love and if he fell for someone in a different house
This theory was amazing do more!!!
Speaking of Wolfsbane, who made his potion for him after Snape's "defection" from the Order?
The wolvesbane potion I think only turns him into just a wolf which could still be violent and could run away. So the would need the carry a leash.
Woah please do more of these
I 100% think his Lycanthropy would be a serious problem.
Please read the 6th & 7th books and make another analysis on the same subject because there’s both major and minor details that were left out of the movies as listed below:
Major details in book
Minor detail
Hey Dean! Can you please do a video about the life of Gellert Grindlewald
Theyd never see Bellatrix panic at the thought of her vault being broken into therefore wouldnt have found the cup
You should make more on this topic like a part 2
I know it's been a couple months and someone else probably pointed it out, but you forgot about Ravenclaws cup. They never would have found it.
