Do you become invincible when you do the forward kick or something? There were quite a few times where I saw that the bosses were hitting you but it was going right through you.
Yes, it's a design flaw in the game. I assume originally this move was to be like the special moves in Streets of Rage or Final Fight which are invincible but cost life. That would have made more sense gameplay wise. As it stands, the move completely breaks the gameplay.
