U need a spring on the throttle pulling it back so it dont run wide open, and when you go to start the bike always use the choke itll start first pull every time, and when you bought the bike they dont come with oil, it just has a little in there to protect the engine parts in shipping, and another super easy speed mod you can do is there is a screw that only lets the throtle go so far, so the tab it screws in you bend it back, and itll go really fast with that and the governor you just took out
Smart
Great tips
bout 55
If you do a jack shaft delete and do direct drive they go pretty fast for a "trail bike" me and my buddies got some and we had a car follow us and they were going 61 and we still had some rpms left
Thanks 👍
All you have to do is bypass the governor spring with a zip tie on the throttle body under the gas tank, it's just as accurate and you don't have to take the motor apart, just search governor bypass with a zip tie. 🤘
Is that all you have to do or does it depend on what mini bike you have because I saw a video of some guy who did that on a frp gmb100 and he took out the limiter
Yeah zip tying it pretty much does the same thing, it just prevents that limiter spring from releasing, it's just less work zip tying it instead of completely removing it
@@ADAMROCK78I just zip tied mine and it started to stall and now won’t start. It was running completely fine before hand and now doesn’t even start. I just got a new carb and still won’t start. I checked the spark plug and everything else and I don’t know the issue, any ideas?
Bro when that shit took off lol😂
Yeah it basically keeps that governor spring from engaging, and yes you'll definitely go faster without that sluggishness when you reach top speed 🤘@SeriousandfunandJesus
My 212cc predator engine for my Go-kart was set up the same way bro. U gotta remove all the linkage to the governor arm, then (with the engine open again) from the outside top cut that metal governor arm off that u left in there when u removed the governor. After that just tap the hole to make threads where the governor arm was and put the correct sized/threaded bolt in its place w/ sum thread locker on it. Then close the engine case back up, fill with oil, connect a return spring to the throttle linkage and also back the throttle screw out a bit that's on the engine.... Once all that's done, ur ready to ride out.. NOTE: Very Worthwhile Upgrades to get more horsepower n speed are as follows---> performance intake air filter& carburetor w/ upgraded carb jet, Heavier/bigger valve springs, high flow exhaust pipe kit (w/ high flow exhaust muffler tip for the neighbors sake, lol), adjust gearing ratio to your preference by installing a smaller/bigger sprockets in the right places.... After those upgrades, it's like a night n day difference w/ power&speed gains and makes it into something u could seriously hurt urself playing with if ur not careful lmfao... I Hope that helps and I hope u guys get ur minibike set up on point like u want it.. oh and btw, I did it all using YT vids. My YT playlist labeled "Go-kart Stuff" contains every video I used as instructional reference to do everything I just explained, but for my predator 212cc engine on my Go-kart.( I also disconnected and removed the oil sensor cut off box thing)
This thing is way to complex for this guy. Needs to stay with simpler things with out too many moving parts.
@@ratdad48the throttle linkage is pretty confusing how it connects with the governor. I put like 5 hours into it and couldnt get it original again before i gave up and ordered a slide carb and a different throttle cable.
Put a return spring on the carburetor butterfly because it stays open 👐
Exactly
Thanks bro cause I did the same
Yo can u make a video on this please
ruclips.net/video/TYp7SgO_FrU/видео.html thanks in advance
ruclips.net/video/HeKrH1YiE9s/видео.html
Bro the fact that you can jump on that thing so fast 🤣🤣🤣
Omg ..I enjoyed this video so much... You guys are crazy ... Good dad and son stuff right there ...your gift of jumping on a moving bike is unparalleled in this world..
Whenever you remove the governor you need to add a return spring opposing the throttle otherwise it’ll just run wide open….. take off the air cleaner and you’ll see what’s going on
Yo I did this with my ct100u and I did everything added a spring and everything and it still is wide open
So stoked this came onto my yt feed, I love this dude and I’ve been watching his vids since I got my first bikes in spring 2020
Bro this vid funny af the bike got a mind of its own 😂😂 keep up with the vids
You need to upgrade the carburetor to a mikuni style one, this will allow you full control of throttle, no more running away bike!
Put the chain a direct link right to the rear sprocket form the clutch, this gears your mini bike to higher speeds
You will go fast, but have very slow takeoff.
@@mlindsay527 Very, Very slow.
Put the governor back and put a torque converter on it I’m done that with mine and it makes it go like 45 miles an hour
It has a centrifugal clutch so when u take off the govener it allows it to spin fast enough to engage the clutch i have a 80cc gocart and i had the same problem when i did it
This made my day haha. Y'all are a trip. Hope you got all the kinks worked out.
Lol I think he left the governor washer in there
I caught that too 😂
I think the Governor linkage pulls the throttle open when at lower rpms. It has to be disconnected because it's not there anymore. there should be an arm on the outside of the block from where you removed the Governor. Remove all linkage from that arm. Then adjust carb idle screw. Watch a video on how to remove the arm. It's easier than trying to explain.
What video?
One of the funniest videos I’ve seen in a while.
I zip tied the spring and took out the throttle stop screw and I ran 33mph (in CO) just ordered my stage 2 kit aswell hoping for 45-50mph once that’s installed
I couldn't even finish watching! Too painful! Ignorance is hard to watch, It's like watching a fatal crash in slow motion!!
U had me about to put a few on lol🤷🏾♂️😂 Thank God😂😂😂😂
I had that same problem it was my clutch bc it was messing it up and I fixed it by buying a torque converter and instead of taking the governor out I zip tied the spring trick.
U need to put a return spring for the throttle linkage it’s just stuck wide open now cause u removed the governor lol u have to find a way to connect the throttle linkage to the little black piece on carb this way your not stuck in wide open throttle I can get u pics if need be
Wym
I have a Coleman CT200U and put a predator 212cc engine and straight piped it. It wants to wheelie a lil when I full throttle from stand still
Bro, question for you. I have the ct200u ex and just put a stage one kit from gopowerdports. I have to choke it every time to start even when warmed up. Any suggestions?
Yea u have to use the choke to crank any bike then when its cranked cut the choke off and ride off u always gotra use ur choke
This video is funny as heck. I’m just about as mechanically inclined as you. The chase down on the bike had me almost spit out my food 😭
My man grabbed the break to take off🤣🤣🤣
Dope editing and bro involved 👌 🙌 💯 family is no.1
This video was comedy 😂😂
You need to loosen the idle screw to the carburetor and it would bring your idle down enough to control it
Yoooo…😂😂😂😂 I just bought this same exact mini bike, I RUclips’s the model and this video came up so I clicked on it, and yo you are f*cking hilarious!! This video is sooo funny…you got yourself a new subscriber ! Keep doing your thing
Yeah, can't help but laugh at him.
Did you take out the spacer under the governor cuz you don't want anything inside of your motor that's floating
what bike do you have and where did you get it from please?
Man u catching and then jumping on that bike that fast was impressive. Lol I would have just let the thing go.
The reason it wouldn’t crank write away is becuase u either Have that switch on the handle bars turned off or either the gas’s is off or u can turn the choke on
Lmfaoo😂😂😂 loved your video bro
Put a racing 2 stroke carburetor on it and a nice muffler and it will fly just with that
You are hilarious!!! I'd chill with you any day!!! You never said the speed afterwards though. I'm curious to know what it was. Lmk. great video.
Always make sure you have the front tire pushed up against either the curb or a wall or a tree when first starting it so the bike can't leave without you. Adjust the idle with the brass screw and black plastic screw on the side of the Carb.
@CEESO USES CODE LITTY throttle likes to stick on those bikes. May need to be loosened more it needs to be snappy pull it with your finger it should snap back quick and a spring to help pull the spring back.
No you never want to bump a mini bike against anything that is a sure fire way to bend a valve and pushrods and blow every gasket out. The best way is to raise the rear of the bike off of the ground and dial it in that way.
Did you adjust the throttle cable at all? Not by the hand controls its just like two metal pieces with a bolt to clamp it together check that out maybe🧐
Lol my go kart used to do that, I named it running start cause it started in one pull but when it runs so do you 🏃♂️😂
Hahahah😂😂
Yeah you always think you're first till you refresh💀💔
Man. You almost had a great Fail video. I don't know how you got on it . I thought that thing was gone!
What's popping bro I'm back watching and liking the videos
Lucky your neighbors are cool I have the exact same mini bike and the last time I road it the cops were called on me
Torque converter will make it fun. Top end and take off with a little less mid range acceleration. Absolute win
That stock throttle linkage is so confusing. I tried to zip tie my governor and it was never the same. Ive got a mikuni carb and a different throttle cable on the way because i never could get it right again.
is there a little arm still connected from the throttle to the top of the crank case?
Put a spring on the arm that goes into the motor under the gas tank put a spring on one of the holes in it and connect the spring to the front of the frame with a zip tie
U took out the right thing you needed to take out that lil bar too and just put a bolt there and re locate the throttle cable and it will work perfect it’s just because that bat is all the way in you just needa Relocate the throttle cable
Y’all should take out the exhaust and put a custom one because I have one my self and it burns the leg when it gets hot so remove that and get like a dirtbike exhaust or any exhaust that comes up to the back fender! And throw on street tires
Me and my brother are getting one of these, We're very excited
It's gonna be two black ct200u-b minibikes and it will be our first time riding them
They come in 3 days
Remove that jack shaft and run the chain from the clutch directly to your rear sprocket
What cable did you cut because i did everything that you did and wont start
You would need to adjust the idle screw on the carb lower so you have more control, adjusting the idle screw higher will make the bike want to takeoff more (bike is ready at any time to take off)adjust the idle screw too low and it may not rev high enough, you need to find the perfect placement.
Do you Live in Statesboro because I just got that same dirtbike from the same store yesterday
I have the same mini bike like you have all you have to do is use the supplier and bend the thing down that is touching the governer screw, bend that thing down and it will go 23 it happened to me
Mount a spring on the front end of the throttle where the holes is in the linkage and connect the spring to on of the holes in the flywheel/pull starter and you can’t run your engine like this so much you need to get a billet rod and billet flywheel along with 18 lb valve springs and chromoly pushrods and a billet or cast camshaft and piston for governor removal then your engine shouldn’t blow up I also recommend getting a mikuni vm22 carburetor for faster top speed and better Performance and it gets rid of the crappy throttle and the linkage you just run it through the carb and it’ll have a snappy nice feel
Also you need to take the arm out of the engine if not it can get in the crankshaft and plug the hole with a screw
Idk what to do but keep up the vids this was entertaining lol
Make sure there is a return spring on the throttle arm
You learn as you go man you have to tinker with it and figure it out that’s how I’ve been doing it
So is the Coleman worth it I kinda want one
If u wanna go slow but big bike Yh it’s real big in person but kinda slow I recommend buying a stage 2 or stage 1 comes with exhaust and some air filters and more and it will do like 35mph
yes
Props to the kid rockin the Champion shirt
I switched from the stock centrifugal clutch (which had a bad bearing on the jack shaft after 5 hours use) to a Go Power Sports torque converter. No other mods. The mini went from 18 MPH to 36 MPH clocked on a straight away. I have a Predator 212 cc Hemi still in the box I haven't used since the stock engine still starts and runs fine. BTW the bearing that failed was never greased at the factory where it was made.
Kould we talk
all im gonna say is nice freaking save when it started going withnither of you on it. That coulda ended really bad
hes stressing me out trying so hard to start the bike with the choke off lmao
Mine just did 55 stock. Just took off jack shaft. Inverted clutch straight chain.
it is the little rod that you cut next to the carb it controls the throttle you need that, tape it back to gather it will be fine.
There's a little metal washer that was behind the govener if you didn't get it out
You could get a vm22 mikuni carberator and it would be even faster with a 120 jet but just put a spring on the govoner lever the opposite way the throttle goes
Put the bike on a concrete block with the back tire off the ground then put a return spring that little flappy thing for the governor needs to come out and be replaced with a bolt and you need 18 pound valve springs or it going to float valves be careful turning to high or the oil dipper will break off and destroy the motor.
Did u take out the washer from behind the govener
has anyone thought the throttle nut on top of the arm might be to tight, keeping the throttle wide open?
This is a grade A case of im not sure what im doing but im gana touch stuff anyways. First off when u pulled the governor gear out, you should have removed the arm and plugged the hole with a 1/4 ×20 screw then as people are stating yes you need a return spring which u removed when deleting the governor, i usually put a spring on the throttle assembly where the old governor spring was on the underside where the little tab sticks down and the other end on the pullcover case. Secondly 16oz of oil MAX. I usually use 12oz. Finally you would also need to put 18lbs valve springs in so the valves dont float.. BUT! I give u al A for effort you have to start learning from somewhere. I have a mbx10 thats running a 212cc predator. Complete govenor delete, 26lbs valve springs billet rod and flywheel, 22mm mikuni carburetor and pulse pump with 120 main jet 16 pilot, oil return hole has bin drilled out, have crankcase pressure vented to valve cover and valvecover vent to check valve to catch can. Im running a 4.53:1 gear ratio with a tav2 and juggernaut clutch giving me a top speed of 51mph.
Upload day is good
What kind oil does it take?
Truly amazing jump to get on the bike on the second attempt
U took the Gove out there's a rod that goes from the carb to govner arm shortn the rod and make it go the throtle lever on the motor then hook the cable back up
Lol great vid I needed that laugh
That is literally the exact same bike I have and because of that this is like a tutorial video for me
0 to 15 in about 10 seconds 🤣🤣
The govener arm you gotta take it out to it’s not connected so the spring pulls the arm opening the throttle
i had the same one but sh*t went to slow for me🤦♂️ so i sold it & got me a dirtbike instead but the thingy that makes it go faster it takes a special screwdriver but it’s whatever
U didnt get the washer out under the governor there is a lil washer there go back in n get it bro!!
And take off the spring wrapped around the hard bar that controls the carb and you’ll be good
Do you have to register this?
u ain been alabama have u? I keep seein someone who looks jus like u
not every rich black guy looks like him
@@vuzionboy3k441 lol
@@vuzionboy3k441 the guy that looks like him jus keeps lookin at me whenever im around him
Ain’t nobody trying to go to that country ass place
Why did I do the country accent reading this
I bought one of these a few weeks ago for a project on marketplace. Yours looks a lot better than mine does right now. But some spray paint and a few new parts it’ll be fine. I lucked out I guess mine came with a new predator 212. And new parts are already on the way
Glee.,.I can get ya Predator 212cc parts: a lot more than Harbour Freight list anyway, cams, heads etc,Trev New Zealand🇳🇿🤗
Could of done the zip tie trick for left all of that until you do valves rockers rod etc would have got the same results
My bike starts but want go is it bc the chain to loose or something elew
Darruis on top 🤟🏽
He put in a snippet of him taking off the throttle return spring but doesn’t know why it’s stuck wide open xD
Ah that’s my bike!! Been looking at what I can do to make it go faster too
Just stretch your idol springs out so it'll return all the way back. That's all I had to do curl the end of the spring so it won't pop out while riding
If you pull the gray lever aka the choke out when u start it it will start in 1 or 2 pulls
U gotta pull out that governor arm
U did it mostly right . straight chain mikuni carb n straight pipe should add alot more speed n it wouldn't take off on you
Bruh!... Definitely bringing my atv so you can fix it 🤣🤦
Big 450 running 😂😂😂
Take all that out and tap 7/16 self tapping bolt
My first car Buick mercury they took out the govener it was lit🔥🔥
The idle just ejust it down and your good it happen with mines to
