    would it be better to keep both heels on the ground? seems more stable that way

    • @LakunaChoy
      @LakunaChoy 5 лет назад +1

      Tim Taylor if you can do that, then that is in fact more stable, however many people just can’t get to a full squat position

    • @timtaylor9590
      @timtaylor9590 5 лет назад

      @Kind Citizen i can move just fine from the heel. i think being on the balls of your feet for agility only works well when you have two feet and can use your kinetic chain. but on one foot in a squat position being on the ball of one foot doesnt really have an advantage besides being hard to balance without your hands.

    • @timtaylor9590
      @timtaylor9590 5 лет назад

      @Kind Citizen all the weight is on the ball foot not the heel foot here. other wise i would agree with what you said

    • @gokutenksa
      @gokutenksa 3 года назад +1

      Wear some knee pads or do it more slowly. That helped me!

    • @nothersheep
      @nothersheep 3 года назад +1

      To be able to do these exercises you need to have a deep ass-to-heels squat and a good amount of internal hip rotation. You might need to do some mobility work before these exercises will be most beneficial for your body.

    • @kanibasani8894
      @kanibasani8894 5 лет назад +2

      @@nunyabusiness1317 cause you put a big stress on the outside and inside tendon of the knee just in one time because is not one problem

      1) stay in control when doing these drills … you’re building your stability, mobility and flexibility
      2) if you’re afraid of these drills, BJJ is not for you
