    Thank you so much! While getting better at open guard, I focus so much on simply finding the grips. I forget to keep the passer busy and threaten with off balancing and posture breaking. Especially when guys are bigger and stronger.

    Amazing video, the ideas and supporting details are so well founded and thought out. It is just practice and study. Jiu Jitsu is indeed like a collegiate course, it is broken down into so many blocks that you could teach this in half semesters, 8 weeks. AOJ, Rafa, do you accept the G. I. Bill?

    Bom dia, primeiramente parabens!
    Moro no Brasil e sempre acompanho o trabalho de vcs através desse canal, porém, acho que não só eu mas, muitos outros seguidores acabam tendo dificuldades em alguns momentos por conta do inglês. Uma dica bacana para nos ajudar seria ter pelo menos uma legenda nos vídeos. Miranda

    There's a reason these two were so dominant. They are prepared and they are intelligent. No other Brazilians have learned English as well as them. I hate the white aesthetic but it's part of their perfectionism and it comes with obsessive attention to detail.

    • @RJwarriorpoet
      @RJwarriorpoet 2 года назад

      The white comes from Japanese Philosophy and is meant to be a symbol of shedding your identity of who you are outside of the dojo. In the dojo who you are as a Martial Artist is all that matters.

    I wonder how much work they spend to keep this gym white and clean like this.

    • @Feastgiver
      @Feastgiver 8 лет назад

      My BJJ that I attend is really clean with white mats too which I real like as a person who likes to clean I sometimes ask my instructor if I can help clean that way the gym can stay clean. The white walls make the place look even more clean.

    • @IamG3X
      @IamG3X 8 лет назад

      Carlos Sanchez well every gym cleans weekly. I'm just wondering if it stains yellow over time.

    • @NefariousPorpoise
      @NefariousPorpoise 7 лет назад +17

      If your gym only cleans weekly you need to find a new gym. We clean our mats twice a day.

    • @IamG3X
      @IamG3X 7 лет назад

      NefariousPorpoise we are require to step our feet into a solution and then wiping it clean on a towel every time we step on the mat. and i was mistaken when i said weekly. they actually clean it every other day.

    • @joehula6065
      @joehula6065 7 лет назад

      I was thinking the same thing about how crazy clean the place looks.

    white on white makes it hard to distinguish the boundaries of shapes here, visually... Maybe they should consider different lighting or something since I know they enforce white gi's only.

      É difícil lembrar dos ignorantes como eu que praticam BJJ e por uma porra de legenda no vídeo já que prefere gravar em inglês ?????

      Unless you’re a guest of the professor who’s coming for a seminar, and you’re just coming as a visitor, you either wear a plain white gi, or buy or borrow one from the school you are visiting.
      That’s the standard rule.
