Amen and amen! Everlasting, never-ending life, no matter how sinful we have been or do act. Granted, we christians should not go and live in sin, God's will in Jesus is a billion times better, but even so God's grace abounds more and He, in His love, disciplines His children

I enjoyed this! Good answer, good discussion!👍👍 I've explained to some my Christian friends over the years what I experienced after believing/, becoming saved,, I often heard heard or was told,,You're saved,, now you better not lose it !you better work hard to keep it, your salvation or at least there was an underline implication of that. There's a lot of my Christian friends that just didn't get that, because they always understood Grace. I used to think what a blessing for them.. all the years of torment I went through because of this legalistic wrong teaching and view. What could we call that? You're born again/saved but noaawwaa,, be careful you don't lose your salvation! Now you've got to maintain it? 🤔

Well, shortly put: we did not gain salvationand righteousness by our moral perfection in good works and lack of sins so we cannot lose it by like that either. Jesus Christ alone is our righteousness, not Jesus AND out works or how we behave. Of course we should follow Jesus in discipleship but that is another story and not about our righteousness.
You see, I was in legalism for years and years. I got so tired of calvinists with lordship salvation and loss of salvation crowd. You know what they both have in common? Our WORKS! Lordship salvation crowd says if you do not surrender ALL of your life to Jesus Christ, which is about how we live, then you aon't saved. And loss of salvation crowd mostly says you can lose your salvation by sinning. So... it is Jesus PLUS our obedience of works. It is not only Jesus but Jesus and works. Galatians 3 and 5 ring a bell here.
Just imagine these two scenarios as sons: lordship salvation son: ' hey son, if you are TRULY my son you will always or mostly always do as I say, but remember if you won't do it might be you are not my son'. What an abusive thing to say. A son is a son no matter what he does. Then loss of salvation crowd: 'Son, if you truly wanna keep your sonship and relationship with me you better always do as I say, if you don't you will no longer be my son and are dead to me'. What a horrible thing to say also. Our sonship before God does not change based upon how we behave. Granted, we should do as God wants us to do in discipleship but if we disobey that is when our loving Father in heaven guides us, teaches us etc. To do His will.

Can a born again Christian become reprobate? If so do they lose their emotions and can they still function?
