I've seen SLAYER 22 times. There not the same without Jeff. His interpretation was comical though. The shows of the 80s where pretty violent. When i saw the big 4 together, it was still pretty hardcore mosh pits. Last time I saw them was in 2016 and the crowds are older and the pits are not as crazy, and people are more polite than they use to be.
IKR? My family was *certain* I'd get lynched when I went to see them on their farewell tour. I was like, "Get real, I'm in no danger here. I'll keep my decrepit ol' @$$ out of the mosh pit and everything's good." I've *never* had any issues at a metal concert since I started going at 18 (I'm 58).
First time i saw Slayer was epic. After the show i was shrugging towards the doors next to people who were bleeding from the head and still screaming, drinking and moshing. People who lost their clothes AND shoes. That was in the 90's. It was amazing. Saw em 5 times after that. SLAYER!
I remember being 19, 20 yo and going crazy in the pit for Megadeth or Maiden or Testament. Now I'm 28, I mostly go at "softer" concerts like Avantasia or Blind Guardian, and even there I'm all like "why are these people so loud why do they drink so much my back hurts I'm too old for this shit" XD
Saw slayer the 1st time in 1986, and 17 times since. The shows are always intense, and full of energy. Slayer fans are loyal because slayer never sold out. They stayed true to themselves and the fans
2:53 As a Slayer fan myself (R.I.P Jeff), i can attest to the accuracy of that statement. Then again, as what happens with most metal concerts these days, it doesn't matter how hectic it gets, you always go out of your way to make no-one gets stomped.
Na in a nightclub more than twenty years ago, the wail of guitars at the beginning of South of heaven... Heads snapped up like dogs hearing a whistle, then the run for the dancefloor, and the circle started. Fantastic and chilling
This was perfect. I've been going to shows since the late '70's. My Dad was a "cool Dad;" he had me at 23. So, I know where Jim is coming from. I'm 43 now, and the bands I've seen would make you envious. So, when a 45 year old makes a killer bit like Brewer just did, trust me, get to be our age and you'll laugh as hard as I just did. I had tears in my eyes.
Somebody commented that he was barely exaggerating but actually he wasn't exaggerating at all. 31 years of Slayer concerts and I can tell you he wasn't exaggerating. Aragon Ballroom, Chicago August 1988 - chairs were fly'in. The Aragon doesn't even have chairs anymore because of them.
Oh! he's got some funny ones in there but that is false and tarnishes concert goers as a whole. This is a guy who saw some videos and thinks he went to a concert. Be funny, be stupid, whatever, but be real.
I almost died during Slayer no joke, I was stuck in the perpetual inescapable part of the pit and I never asked to be there or intended to. I literally couldn't get out and was out of breath and severely dehydrated, finally they finished a song and I was able to push out with my last bit of energy, it felt like it was 200 degrees in there, barely fucking made it, fond memories. FUCKIN SLAAAAYYYYEEEERRRRR

I saw Slayer when I was 17 and went down trying to get to the front and literally everyone around me grabbed me and pulled me back to my feet and sent me on my way.
yeah a woman saw me in the crowd all sweaty and while i was watching she tied my hair and gave me water, then she pushed everyone aside to let me to the first row so whoever says slayer fans are rude is gonna get slapped by me
it's all for a good laugh I'm 44 been listening to metal for most of that time no matter what show your at you always pick someone up cause it fuckin sucks getting knocked down
I was lucky enough to catch them here about 2 weeks ago and goddamn were there a lot of people on the floor! For 2 or 3 songs my feet were swapping back and forth between standing on one persons foot and anothers lol. Fucking awesome show though!
Absolutely hilarious. The being moved by the crowd cause it is so tight is no joke. I went to see Fear Factory and Slayer at the boathouse in VA. It was so tight when the crowd jumped you went with them even if you weren't trying to jump. I damn near passed out but it was a great show. I don't get in the pit as often as I used to but when I do, I'm all in.
I'm a Slayer fan and I find this funny. Nice one, Jim Bruer! You're one cool dude. And definitely that is how it all felt when we're at Slayer concert: "RELEASE THE SLAYER FANS!"
I've been to a slayer concert came out with a ripped t shirt ,busted lip and bloody nose. That was my first mosh pit. Greatest time of my life. Besides meeting my hero Chester Bennington. That's another story.
All their fucking songs sound the same and their solos are dissonant with no structure or musicianship. THey made maybe 2 good albums their whole career - seasons in the abyss and south of heaven. Reign in blood had 2 or 3 good songs. Thats it.
I'm due to see Slayer on their farewell tour this year starting in Dublin. Lamb of God, Anthrax and Obituary are supporting so it's going to be MAD! I'm a lot older now as well, which is why I bought a seat in the balcony. I wouldn't survive the floor now. Last time I seen Slayer was 20+ years ago in their Divine Intervention tour and I did manage to survive the moshpits. Mind you, people do pick you up if you fall.
Seen slayer 5 times and whats funny is that he is barely exaggerating. Slayer shows are not for the weak

Last time I saw them was in 2016 and the crowds are older and the pits are not as crazy, and people are more polite than they use to be.
Going for #9 in may....jealous you win
No shit his interpretation is comical, he's a fucking comedian
Ive sadly only seen them once but it was this year august 9th im only 18 and man it was fantastic
I saw them in 88 with motorhead and overkill on Halloween night at Lehigh u. Pretty intense.
Holy shit! That's a badass lineup!
Honestly tho... Metal shows are the best environments with the nicest people!!! 🤘🤘
AttilatheThrilla I went to a metal festival and it was a fucking great time. Just hated the Tool fans 😂😂😂
"They are only going to be on the stage for 15 minutes." Inside joke about there songs being fast and short.
Son Of The Lion thats right
For like one album hahaha
Back in the heyday 15 minutes in that felt like an hour hahaha
Only the Reign in Blood album tbh. All of their Hell Awaits and Seasons in the Abyss songs are pretty long
He's the best at telling stories! He's on the money about Slayer fans too!
I need to go to a slayer concert. It's on the bucket list.
Scruffy P I've seen Slayer...absolute madness...
Scruffy P Nah, Jeff Hanneman passed and Dave Lombardo left. It's not the same. I saw Clash of the Titans. Slayer's set was madness!!
I just wanna be in the pit for angel of death
Scruffy P make it happen!
Scruffy P Angel of Death always has a fucking crazy pit
He looks like the Mr Hyde version of Matthew Perry
David Johnson holy shit
Ahahahahahahahaha!! 😂😂💀
Haha, so true!
Or Jason Bateman
First time i saw Slayer was epic. After the show i was shrugging towards the doors next to people who were bleeding from the head and still screaming, drinking and moshing. People who lost their clothes AND shoes. That was in the 90's. It was amazing. Saw em 5 times after that. SLAYER!
I died at “and they’re not using the isles to get there” 😂😂
Slaaaayyyeeerr
FUUUUUCCCKKKKIIIIINNNNNGGGGG SSSSSLLLLLLAAAAAAAAYYYYYYEEEEERRRRRRRRR
SLAAAAAAAAYYEEEEERRRRR!
RespectTheEmotions SSSLLLLAAAAYYYEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!
SLAYEEEEEEEER!!
SLAYERRRRRRRRRRR
Love slayer and yes I do resemble an extra from Lord of the Rings - Good routine keep the SLAYER flame going..:)
Tom once said in an interview, We have the ugliest fans. Then laughed his ass off.:)
I'm almost 40 and I'm never to old for metal shows.
2:53
As a Slayer fan myself (R.I.P Jeff), i can attest to the accuracy of that statement.
Then again, as what happens with most metal concerts these days, it doesn't matter how hectic it gets, you always go out of your way to make no-one gets stomped.
this would have been funnier if the age of a true Slayer fan wasn't 45.
TheStgmp44 Holy shit! Excellent point.
TheStgmp44 true... we 43.
TheStgmp44 Guess you better not be messing with 40 yeat olds they don't care by that point...still take you out lol..
Oh shit I'm an annoying 15 year old
52
Lucky he didn't go to the Misfits reunion lol
Manny Fantastic haha
I hear that horn call for Slayer you best stay outta my way XD
I love how the Slayer fans at the comedy show basically did his bit for him. "Anthrax, Megadeth...and Slayer" ("SLAYYYYYYYERRRRRRR!")
it's not Slayer. it's Fucking Slayer
No its FUCKING SLLLAYYYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Naruto5tails Oh yeah!! I mispelled it :D
Moameth Dark Rider Well judging from your profile picture its more like ABBATH!
***** what do you have to do when you're dirty?
Of course, you take Abbath!
That was exactly how it was when Slayer played in Reno in October.
That was a really good show!
Gene Paul Same when I saw them at the Aftershock festival
Habeas J I was there too was awesome
I was there and i agree haha
I love Slayer and this is hilarious.
I think anybody hysterically laughing at this loves Slayer
Somebody commented that he was barely exaggerating but actually he wasn't exaggerating at all. 31 years of Slayer concerts and I can tell you he wasn't exaggerating. Aragon Ballroom, Chicago August 1988 - chairs were fly'in. The Aragon doesn't even have chairs anymore because of them.
🙈🙈🙈🙈🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dude... YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD FOR METAL!!!!!!!!!
Also, this was hilarious xD
And you haven't go to a Slayer concert in south america. Now that's wild and crazy
was gonna comment about Sepultura lol
Marco Estiercol that and Megadeth in South America, that's my bucket list, but with Slayer's retirement, may not happen. 😔
Went to a Brujeria concert in Mexico when I was 15, And saw an all in punchfight between about 35 people in the middle of a circle pit...
Well, that's because south America is a shithole.
@@RisvoldTheGreat indeed it is
I've seen Slayer seven times.
This is all true
"Someone's getting sacrificed tonight!" Lol
At 45 years of age you ARE the age of Slayer fans!!! I'm 46 and have been a fan since my 20's!
After seeing Slayer this past week, I can say this is accurate
Nope! When someone goes down at any metal or punk show they are rapidly picked up. Every concert goer knows this.
Carle B. and you do not realize this is a joke don't you
Oh! he's got some funny ones in there but that is false and tarnishes concert goers as a whole. This is a guy who saw some videos and thinks he went to a concert. Be funny, be stupid, whatever, but be real.
Rammstein concert proves you true
So true
Jim breur was a teen in Cali when thrash started so he knows how this all goes down lol he did this as a joke
DAMN, YO! He's opening for METALLICA on tour now! See my guitar on Metallica, Slayer and NOW 1990 found THRASH by kids Re-Mastered! If ya want? /w\ METAL /w\
I got my nose broke in the mosh at a Sepultura concert, someone helped me up and brought me a drink.
RELEASE THE SLAYER FANS! LOLOLOL
“They’re not using the aisles to get there” lmfao
Should said that everyone is taking care of each other... that´s the SLAYER Crew !!!!
I saw Slayer when I was 17 and went down trying to get to the front and literally everyone around me grabbed me and pulled me back to my feet and sent me on my way.
yeah a woman saw me in the crowd all sweaty and while i was watching she tied my hair and gave me water, then she pushed everyone aside to let me to the first row so whoever says slayer fans are rude is gonna get slapped by me
I went to a Slayer show and had all my teeth knocked out. 10/10 would mosh again. Best concert ever.
hahahahaha
it's all for a good laugh I'm 44 been listening to metal for most of that time no matter what show your at you always pick someone up cause it fuckin sucks getting knocked down
Post Mortem. Raaahhhhrrr. Spill the Blood.
red_rogue ANGEL OF DEAAAAAAAAAAATH!!!
This never gets old, still cracks me up.
Right LOL
Saw Jim in Birmingham AL Tuesday I almost broke a rib laughing. He did this bit loved it.
He did this bit? Seriously?? My favorite bit. I see him tomorrow in SLC :)
FUCKING SLAYER
Brian Baldwin
Fuckin SLAYER!!!!
\../. 😬 .\../
Hoping they come here to Norway before too late
So crowded my feet weren’t touching the floor. I laughed out loud. So true
I was lucky enough to catch them here about 2 weeks ago and goddamn were there a lot of people on the floor! For 2 or 3 songs my feet were swapping back and forth between standing on one persons foot and anothers lol. Fucking awesome show though!
Back in late 80's I started in "row 37" general admission.....4th row center before the third song.
I wonder if the guys in Slayer have ever seen this. I have no doubt they would find this hysterical.
SLAYYYYEEEEEEREEERRRR🤘🤘🤘
SLAYER makes me happy
Amen to that
metal head also reporting how hysterically accurate and comically brilliant Jim is...rock on \m/
YOU CANT HANDLE THE PIT!
I know what he's talking about, my feet never touched the floor when I saw Megadeth and it was fucking awesome
As a Slayer fan from the day they formed the band, I think this is a great comedy routine!
Been to a slayer concert shit got real! real quick haha
This is why I'm proud to be a slayer fan
I'm a Slayer fan and I find this funny. Nice one, Jim Bruer! You're one cool dude.
And definitely that is how it all felt when we're at Slayer concert: "RELEASE THE SLAYER FANS!"
I've been to a slayer concert came out with a ripped t shirt ,busted lip and bloody nose. That was my first mosh pit. Greatest time of my life. Besides meeting my hero Chester Bennington. That's another story.
I wanna hear the Chester story!
As a Slayer fan, I confirm that everything this man says to be true. XD
When I saw Slayer, I feared my own race as well.
Slayer are the best band in the fuckin world!
All their fucking songs sound the same and their solos are dissonant with no structure or musicianship. THey made maybe 2 good albums their whole career - seasons in the abyss and south of heaven. Reign in blood had 2 or 3 good songs. Thats it.
amen!!
Grimeyhoob That's Slayer for ya. I love them, but they are a one trick pony. The AC/DC of metal
Ash Rogers hell yes!
Yes, they were..
Slayer shows are fantastic. I've seen them several times with Lamb of God. Dear memories.
