Dude you are an extremely valuable resource to metalheads such as myself who are trying to get good at materializing their ideas into songs. I'm hitting the like button on all your videos because your channel deserves more views and subs.
On TDR Nova if you click “out” it’ll show the frequency analyzer, “In” is the raw signal that won’t adjust when you change EQ and “out” will adjust to the moves you make
I came across your channel while looking for reviews on the Focusrite Scarlett 3rd Gen. You offer high quality content. Subscribed instantly! And you use FL Studio, so you seem to be a cultured person anyway. Keep it up!
@@KeyanHoushmandLive He’s right - Reaper’s EQ plug-in overlays the frequency response right over the filters... it also shows you how the frequency response changes with your filter (one plot for the original signal, and a second plot for the filtered signal).
stock daw plugins are also very underrated. I use ableton and their stock plugins are amazing. I also always use tdr nova because I don't have fabfilter
Dude, thats just on point. You bring all needed information on the point easy to understand and nothing over explained so ppl that are new to Mixing grib the idea easily. Thats perfect! Thanks again Keyan! 🔥🔥🔥
@@KeyanHoushmandLive oh yes it did I was doing the first taking out problem frequencies but never really made it polished like u did with the second EQ thanks
I think span plus is gonna help me vizualise more of what I'm doing, thanks for this video! Keep up with such knowledge and quality for people like me, who wants to reach quality.
TDR stuff is awesome for free, although I decided to go with their paid bundle, the coolest thing there is Smart Operations, kinda intelligent mode. Sometimes it works great and saves time. And of course more buttons in general, plus Upward mode (in Nova)
Also Underrated Plugins for mixing the reaplugs suite and dead duck vst fucking Great for anything and alternatives to slate digital and waves plugins try them out as you were trying out reaper
Hi Keyan! Love your channel and your work. I've been using FL studio for a while but have realized I need to get a new PC for things to run smoothly with high CPU usage plug-ins. Any recommended specs for ultra smooth performance? I'd greatly appreciate any advice!
I wish you would do this specifically for the Nameless amp sim suite. Your videos with that always sound great, but I have a really hard time getting all the harsh hiss out of that particular amp sim. Seems like I have to make huge cuts in the 4-5k range and then the sound becomes dull. Keep up the amazing work!
So i've got a schecter hellraiser c-1 with 89/81 emg pickups. As an interface i use a focusrite scarlett solo. I can't get even close to sound you have in your videos. What do i need to do to get the tone? (at least somehow close to it. I just felt in love with the tone). What i've in mind right now is changing pickups to bare knuckle. Will it change the sound to be somehow close to yours or there is something else and i need to get a ~ 2k jackson with these pickups? I just don't understand where to dig By the way, thank you for your videos! You're so great and your work is amazing!
This is an excellent tutorial. I do have a question: Why not use Fruity Parametric EQ 2 instead of the Ozone Imager? Is it due to low frequencies being more the focus on the cartesian graph?
I’m pretty sure TDR nova has the frequency analyser. Just click on “IN” at the top right corner and it shows up. Am I right in saying you won’t need Span in this case??
Great video, thanks for the tips!, I'm actually a bass player and I'm looking for a nice tone for free, but I don't know if this tips work for bass as well... If you can give me any tip I would be more than thankful!
Thanks for watching dudes! Check out the links for all these plugins in the description.
Thanks man, love your work. What headphones and monitors do you use? If you don’t mind me asking :) thanks in advance

Thanks man, I really appreciate it! I’m glad you can get something out of these

Finally, I found a mixing video that isn’t too long and explains it in a way I was able to understand, thanks.
I’m glad you enjoyed it dude
Keyan over here getting better sounding mixes for free than a lot of paid professionals with whole-ass studios.
Holy crap the riffs blow my mind
I would love a whole mix approach
from drums to bass to guitars mastering etc
love your stuff dude
mate this is so informative. im in love! ive been having a go at mixing myself as my guy Sam usually does it! so helpful!
2 months of suggesting finally paid off!!
Thanks for making this man!
It did

That riff is 🔥
Good shit!
Thanks man!
Ty that made my mix better
You can also use ReaPlugs VST Suite from reaper. So you can use reaper plugins on your DAW.
I’ll need to try this out!

You should do a dedicated video on impulse responses; on the role that they play, the differences etc
This is a very helpful video. Highly recommend. Actually shows you how to mix guitars. Useful information when applied.
I’ve just got into mixing and you post this thanks so much. Btw your content is great.
Hope it helped!

Sounds great! Simple and straight to the point, love it!
Thanks dude
thank you, keyan. your videos are incredible. they help me a lot!
Thank you Antonio!
You're a talented producer bro but first and foremost hats off to your guitar playing man - you're insanely good and I love ur content bro!
Dude, your videos are amazing!
Oh yesssssss! Much waited video!
Nice video!
It is short and to the point.
Can you do a video on setting up noise gates correctly for long sustaining lead tones for solos especially?
Oh man, those drums sound amazing! Have you made a video about them? If anyone knows, please lmk and link the video. Thank you!
Man, thank you so much! Absolutely amazing content!
Just a heads up, Reapers stock plugins are free to download and use and the eq has a visual rep. Hope that helps for those that may want or need it.
TDR NOVA has the frequency analyser. Just switch to "in" at the right hand side column!
Epic my man! Hey Keyan what is the best tier to subscribe to see more behind the scenes stuff like this to look how you process and mix stuff?
Your a cool dude Keyan. And your.music slaps. Thanks bro

Cheers mate, Great Help!

Nova does have the frequency analyzer in the free version (I use it).... I think all you have to do is right click in the middle of the VST.

pair this with the cut &boost at 30 hz and you're golden

insane riffage brother
Love the content as always. On your next video, can you say the word: “portfolio”? Thank you for your consideration on this matter
You don't use any kind of saturation plugin for guitars?
Great video, thanks for the tips!, I'm actually a bass player and I'm looking for a nice tone for free, but I don't know if this tips work for bass as well... If you can give me any tip I would be more than thankful!
Do you do this on a guitar bus? Or every track?
U r awsome
Boi this track would be soo fun to write vocals over
For a video on mixing guitars, I wish you had had some playing of JUST the guitar track, at least demonstrating the changes in compression and EQ.
Plugins on or off has absolutely no difference for me. Im listening in a smartphone samsung galaxy s7 edge...
Just kidding. Awesome video man!
Plugins Off: sounds amazing already 😪
Mixing clean guitar when??
