I have no idea how you ended up in my RUclips feed, but I've enjoyed watching several of these because you do a great job of communicating the reality of a human experience different from most of ours, and what the human world needs most is empathy--the ability to understand, as much as possible, other people's experiences and realities. So, you're doing the world a service here, beyond the practical benefit to other people in your same situation.
My biggest hope is that I can help people relate to those of us with disabilities better. I think the best way to achieve that is being honest and vulnerable. And really all the things I talk about are universal. I mean who hasn't been insecure about their hemorrhoids lol?
What I liked about Joe was that he thought about the answers. I felt that he tried to be prudent, to answer in an understanding way and at the same time to be sincere. You make a really nice couple
A special relationship....2 people who definitely love each other!! Thanks for sharing your life with us!! Love is love and you make each other shine bright!!
I have a saying that i find myself saying a lot ." If I am not laughing I am crying and I am tired of crying." Always find that laughter . Its important to your soul and I am so glad that given your tribulations in this life you can do that. Your husband is a good man because he doesn't see the wheel chair he sees just you. And that is love.
I stumbled across your videos and love them! I am also a part of an inter-able couple as I have CP. Your husband sounds really genuine and I love the honesty in your videos. I am also a parent so I can relate to the fears of being a new parent. I think the only time, my husband was concerned when leaving me alone with our son was when we were not in OUR house and visiting parents/in-laws. We set up our house so I could care for my son independently in his newborn days. As you mentioned it does get easier as kids get older, my son can now help push the grocery cart, carry light bags, he even grabs my crutches out of the car. I think having a disabled mom may benefit him in the future.
Another cute video that I can't get enough of. I love how honest and open you are to each other. And, with or without a disability, it makes a strong and healthy relationship.
What stands out the most to me is what good friends you are and how you make each other happy . That matters the most doesn't it. Fortunate to have such a great relationship.
I came across your channel and I find it so special. My mother in law is disabled but is probably one of the most ambled humans I know. She become disabled after having her 5th baby , and then proceeded to have 2 more baby’s. You and your husband are an inspiration! Thank you

We all have bodies that operate in a similar fashion so why be embarrassed? Your hubby’s responses were awesome!! He obviously wasn’t concerned with your paralysis or he wouldn’t have dated you in the first place. He saw beyond that, he saw your beauty & your personality!!

I love listening to your story. I am paralyzed in the pelvic area and can totally relate to you as far as using the restroom to sex. I had fallen off a roof when I was 21. I broke my back. the L1 vertebra totally exploded I had bone fragments stuck to my spinal cord. I also fractured the L2. I had crushed my spinal cord so much that they said if it was crushed a hair more it would have been severed. Luckily I had amazing surgeons. I was paralyzed waist down. That openess of mind of the significan other can be so conforting !!! KUDOS !!!!!
I bet that situation was embarrassing for you. These kinds of situations show how accepting most people are though. We always think it's going to be horrible and it ends up not being so bad!
Brittney & Joe, be assured that there's millions of non-disabled women that haven't had orgasms either so don't ever worry about it. Communication is way more important and you've got that going on!
Thank you so much for sharing my loved one has spinal Timor’s taking his mobility and his life if only he wasn’t in constant pain. We could cope with the wheelchair god bless you both love you both all the way from Australia and yes I’m crying because I understand and I care love you 😍 guys I’m so grateful ❤ps we are in ou 50s🎉
Yeah you guys ARE cute!!! Hehe I am 50, chair user and hubby is 53, we have been married 22 years... (neither of us 'groom' down there!) You really do just get comfortable with each other and all is good!
About CPR and people in a wheelchair. I teach CPR and once I was at a school. One of the teachers was in a wheelchair. She insisted to follow the program. You are so lovely and honest, with such a positive attitude. Keep on spreading the word as you are doing such a good job in showing how disabled people can cope.
You and your husband remind me SO much of Alex and Kimberly Wadsworth from The Wads. I found your channel a couple of days ago and I've been binge watching and laughing at your honesty and realistic view of disability. It's laugh or cry, I guess 😂 I love that your channel has grown so much lately, you deserve it!
Fantastic video, guys! As far as the orgasm thing, I think we as a culture put too much emphasis on having one. I'd say that not being able to in your case opens up a whole new world that focuses on all the other great stuff we can do to enjoy our sexuality. I like Joe's honesty and flexibility on the issue. Sometimes it's important, sometimes not. If you don't care then he doesn't either because you 2 have learned that orgasm doesn't have to be the be all end all of intimacy. I bet you 2 have a better sex life than a majority of people in our society!

So great to see Joe again! We really enjoy these Q and A videos - well, I enjoyed all of it; Debbie had to skip the first couple of questions and the last part. Maybe some of it was “too close to home” for her.
You both are completely awesome. I love the open nature of the discussion. No holds barred! Thank you for the honesty. I love Squirmy & Grubs as well. A question: with very little to no body fat on your butt, are you more prone to pressure sores? How do you prevent them?
Thank you for this, very personal, but also very informational video. I’m a nursing student and will be staring my clinical at the hospital. I remember learning about digital stimulation and thought it was some technological way of stimulating defecation. I’ve learned so much with your videos. I hope I’m prepared when I take care of a person with disabilities thanks to your videos.
Lol Interesting questions. Poor Joe.....I was waiting for him to vacate the vehicle while it's still moving! But I enjoyed watching & learning. Keep the videos coming. Love you guys!
Some of these questions I've never thought about. I saw a video of ur baby bed. Had no clue that was even out there. After that I just thought we'll this couple evaluates what issues they may have and adapts to make it doable
Idk why this came up on my feed but I’m so glad it did ! I’ve already watched and likes 4 videos and I love how you communicate and you two are a wonderful couple be blessed my friend 😊
You guys are great. Keep up the great content. When you were talking about the unmanicured areas, I started thinking, you can’t see the forest for the trees 😅😂
Thank you! I'm sure my honestly is too much for some people but to help those that desperately need answers to these questions I'll take the chance of offending a few people!
You really put him on the spot 😂 love the honesty because it’s real life conversations and topics. Two and a half years out from my injury and I definitely am not ready to date because of all the reasons 😆 another great video 💗
I totally put him on thr spot lol. And some of the answers were unexpected lol. I can always count on him to be honest though, even if it makes me uncomfortable!
You guys are great. I have CP, a college degree I have worked in many settings . I am not paralyzed. I have taken care of kids on my own which are not mine. I've dated only non-disabled women. My ex-wife was not disabled when we were married. We never had children together. I'm interested in dating and possibly marrying again. I wish there was website where people look to date someone with a disability. There are many benefits to dating someone with a disability. Some benefits are close parking (Handicap) permanent income) Disability) just to name a few. Myself, I have a decent income and can care for myself and I own my own home. You make a point. If you love someone and can wipe them if you have to you love them.. I have trouble lately in meeting women to date. I guess mostly the assume way to much. It's funny how when we finally have sex, she says, "If I had known it was going to be like this with you, I would have slept with you a lot sooner." They keep coming back sometimes. But don't seem to want to commit. When I first started the video I thought Joe was the one with the disability. I'm convinced that it takes a special person to be with a disabled person. If I have to give her sex everyday I would. You guys are great. Good luck in all you do.
Wow third video of yours I have watched Love learning about the practical realities of your life and how you both approach and see things It is one of the joys of the modern internet world learning about other people's lives and challenges and how they cope BTW you both seem like keepers
The internet has definitely opened up the world and allowed us to peer into the realities of those with different circumstances than our own! It's pretty cool!
I just love your openness, but sometimes it seems prying. Maybe because I'm older. Your husband is awesome. It really helps us able bodied be empathetic and understanding (hopefully not ask questions to a handicapped person). Thank you!💜
Brit, Thanks for being so open about your situation. One question rose from watching your videos. I totally understand that being seated in a wheelchair definitely has an impact on your body, body mass, etc. Can "bed soares" be an issue for a SCI person ? I don't know of anybody in that situation so that I'd ask, hoping that bed soares are NOT an issue, but is probably something that you need to pay close attention to ? Thanks again! -dan
Dude!!!! You ate freaking 👌!! Now this is my kinda people, with the naming of the hemorrhoids & all. I call them Leroys. Lol 😆 Just a few minutes in & IM HOOKED! New subscriber instantly ✨️
Have you put in a residential elevator in your home? I saw anther couple where the wife has a spinal injury and they did. Seems like a nice option if you can fit it in. I would think even for seniors with mobility issues it would be great adaptation. Thier channel is jerry rigs everything.
When you were pregnant, did not having feeling in that area pose any problems? For example, were you able to feel contractions to know when you were going into labor? Were you able to feel your babies kick or move?
It is crucial, to be honest with yourself and your partner !!! But, after some point, I would answer, it is necessary to make it public? Intimacy is very private and different for every couple, so, in this light, does make it helpful, instead of discovering it by yourself? There are no shortcuts...
I totally agree. But me being honest about the I securities I faced in the process gives other people encouragement who think they can never find someone.
Wonderful, Hilarious video. You two are so funny together with your banter. Lots of random questions for Joe in that one but he answered them very well. A little off topic but I do have a question about him driving your van. Is it an easy procedure for him to be able to drive it without using the hand controls because it looks like he wasn't using the hand controls there?
@Empowered Para Oh right on, good to know. I've always wanted to try driving a vehicle just in an open parking lot or a field just to get the feel of it.
I don't know where to go with this video other than to say that a ranch style home rules over all others, regardless... well, unless you call a castle a home and built into a hill top, with gargoyles and leering wraiths on the roof tops, but that goes without saying! Cheers! ...and fresh chicken eggs are better, especially at a road side stand so that you don't have to spend your time caring for a - chicken - ! :)

I wholeheartedly agree, she is amazing!
I was thinking the same thing last night. Why can I not stop watching her videos?

lol @ your sixties bush - I am dying here.🤣😂 True love is blind, my friend; that is evident with your marriage. Keep up the great work! 💞
It was definitely vintage down there lol
Wow third video of yours I have watched
Love learning about the practical realities of your life and how you both approach and see things
It is one of the joys of the modern internet world learning about other people's lives and challenges and how they cope
BTW you both seem like keepers
The internet has definitely opened up the world and allowed us to peer into the realities of those with different circumstances than our own! It's pretty cool!
You give me hope that I will find my Joe one day. It’s so hard to date when you’re living with disability. I’m also paraplegic (T4).
Start by believing that your wheelchair is an asset!
Might you do a video about how you met and courted as an inter-abled couple?
New subscriber here. Enjoying your videos, openness and humor. 😊
Welcome!
You guys are so cute! I loved this video 💜
Thanks!
😆😜u guys r fun!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!!
Awsome Video you have an understanding an awsome husband and kids.
I do!
Bless the both of you!
You're a beautiful couple. Thanks for the videos
Also Shane from Squirmy and Grubs- "Go ahead, break me!"
😂😂
I love them lol
Most of us can only dream of such love 🥰
I just love your openness, but sometimes it seems prying. Maybe because I'm older. Your husband is awesome. It really helps us able bodied be empathetic and understanding (hopefully not ask questions to a handicapped person). Thank you!💜
I'd like answering all the questions that most people are too shy to pry about!
-dan
Pressure sores are a huge issue for those in wheelchairs. I have had many friends die from them. Do I am very diligent about my skin!
Dude!!!! You ate freaking 👌!! Now this is my kinda people, with the naming of the hemorrhoids & all. I call them Leroys. Lol 😆 Just a few minutes in & IM HOOKED! New subscriber instantly ✨️
lol Leroys! I love that haha.
another great video, may God bless you both.
Thanks!
So jealous of Joe's beard.
He'll never shave it off lol! It's great at hiding extra chins haha
You’re honestly, 😂 sorry .. keep this spirit and the love for each other.. perfect kopple …
Have you put in a residential elevator in your home? I saw anther couple where the wife has a spinal injury and they did. Seems like a nice option if you can fit it in. I would think even for seniors with mobility issues it would be great adaptation. Thier channel is jerry rigs everything.
I am so glad I am not driving that car right now...... lol ... amazing souls you both are...
When you were pregnant, did not having feeling in that area pose any problems? For example, were you able to feel contractions to know when you were going into labor? Were you able to feel your babies kick or move?
I could feel them kick and move. Could not feel the pain of labor but felt the pressure of the contractions!
It is crucial, to be honest with yourself and your partner !!! But, after some point, I would answer, it is necessary to make it public? Intimacy is very private and different for every couple, so, in this light, does make it helpful, instead of discovering it by yourself? There are
no shortcuts...
I totally agree. But me being honest about the I securities I faced in the process gives other people encouragement who think they can never find someone.
@@EmpoweredPara That is true also !!!
Beautiful woman !
Thanks ❤️ 😊
You’re definitely not shy.
The hand controls don't change anything about the vehicle, just allow me to reach the pedals from higher up. So Joe can still drive with his feet:)
@Empowered Para Oh right on, good to know. I've always wanted to try driving a vehicle just in an open parking lot or a field just to get the feel of it.
Thank you☺️
You're welcome!
I can tell he so adore you.
most of the time lol. Sometimes I'm a pain in the butt!
at the moment very snowy in vancouver another fun video i think the worst thing a person said to me was well normal people have no problem doing it
people are dumb sometimes 🙄
Nothing wrong with a forest to explore. ALLWAS liked a forest
Where going away for our 33 year anniversary in our favorite country place in Pennsylvania! Were you under 29 days
His first reaction was now this is a natural woman
Well I hope that was his reaction! Whatever I did seemed to work lol!
Shame Joe, some tough questions, but good answers
Felt sorry for husband lol as my wife would always wait till trapped in car on long drive to chose to ask the hard questions p
I really liked the story about how you learned to poop.
You guys are nuts. LOL I love you both.
We are nuts lol.
God bless you both 🙏🏾
I don't know where to go with this video other than to say that a ranch style home rules over all others, regardless... well, unless you call a castle a home and built into a hill top, with gargoyles and leering wraiths on the roof tops, but that goes without saying! Cheers! ...and fresh chicken eggs are better, especially at a road side stand so that you don't have to spend your time caring for a - chicken - ! :)
lol I'm with you on the ranch style home! I bet you're right about the chickens lol. Less mess and less work to just buy eggs from a farmer haha
You guys are awesome
