The macro closeup of the bumblebee shot was amazing. Just yesterday, I noticed a similar occurance with a bumblebee in Fairbanks, Alaska. Maybe the same bee--from the UK to Alaska. 😎😎
That would be awesome 😊 I did manage to get out for a couple of hours with the lens earlier in the week I’ll try and get 5 minutes later today to post an image
@@AndyHPhotography it looks like I will have to find one compatible with my Sony. The one I got has a different mount and my canon converter won’t let the autofocus work properly.
Great video I also have this lens, you mentioned that you also have the Sigma docking station but i don't think this lens is supported by the docking station ??
Thanks Michael. I have the USB doc for the 100-400 and tbh I've never used it. I though I would but have never had the need to connect any of my Sigma lenses with it. I don't think the 105 benefits in any way from the USB connector and is supported by it.
The 90d only does focus bracketing properly with certain lenses. It will do an OK job with some 3rd party ones apparently. Just wondered if you'd tried. Never mind. It can be done manually if not.
Hi, it was a bit delayed by my 90D falling into the stream. I have my new valets now so it should be in a couple of months time and I’ll show it working on the mirrorless system as well 👍
What happened to your plans to make a video with the Sigma 105 f2.8 in reference to SLIDE & NEGATIVE duplication? Did the cold, snowy winter set your plans back? I know that happened to me here in Fairbanks, Alaska. If u do get around to making such a video, please title it with the words "Slide & Negative Duplication," so that we can find it on your site. 😎😎
This is currently being made Anna’s I have all the great and have started making it. Unfortunately my mum has had a fall and in hospital so that’s had delayed me completing it but I should get it out in a week or so all being well
@@AndyHPhotography Thanks for writing back, Sorry to hear about your Mum; hope she recovers soon. Am looking forward to your video when your able to get it made. 😎😎
This video is labelled “how to use” but you don’t in any part of the video ,explain, how to use for best results,is there a video where you do this? Thank you
Thalias for your feedback. This is an intro video doing an overview of the lens. I will be making a more in depth ‘macro based’ video in the coming weeks so please keep an eye out for that
@AndyH Photography think I'm gonna use it a lot I'm newbie so buying the right kit from the start is important, nothing worse than buying rubbish, maybe an idea for a video mate
Thanks. You’ll be pleased to know I have stopped doing unboxing 👍 I won’t be doing them in the future at all. Feel free to let me know how you get on with the lens. I find it’s great on location and is much more than ‘just’ a macro lens
@@AndyHPhotography Thanks, Andy. Looking at options, it appears there are two models of this lens - an older model 272E and a model F004. The F004 supposedly has a much quieter autofocus mode. Which one do you have and if the older one (they're cheaper for me) are they really noisy?
I've had a look at the lens Dave and it's not clear which model it is. I've only had it a year and not sure when the model change over happened. Mine is super quiet on the autofocus front so suspect it is the newer model but I'm not 100% sure how to check it as other than the lens details, there's nothing else printed on it
Hermosas fotos. muchas gracias por tu trabajo y dedicación
Muchas gracias Jorge 🙏😊

I do not own any macro lens, I think this one suits me, your review has brought me more interest in buying one, thanks for the review.
You’re welcome and I’m glad it proved useful 😊
just purchased one and your video was the clincher
eagerly awaiting the amazon van
Great purchase 👍 it’s a beautiful lens for so much more than macro. Let me know how you get on with it

Nice
Good luck with the lens

I was about to sell my lens as I can't get the hang of it! I might keep trying after seeing your videos! Thankyou
Keep trying Karen as it’s a great lens. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a message here or on Vero
Good luck with the lens Andy, you certainly got some nice images with it 📸
Thanks Andy. I’m really enjoying and taking it out again tomorrow into the hills so hopefully will get some more images to share

Does this lens work with Canon focus bracketing? You had a 90d previously, I believe.
I believe it should do a the function is driven by the body but I didn’t use it with that mode so can’t verify it 100%

@@youngmurphy7556 I did use focus bracketing with the 18-135 and it worked fine but this could be one of the limitations of third party lenses 🤷♂️
nice real world review!

When would be the 2nd video can't wait ^^
