Super cool to see the upgraded testing tech. Gotta love having hard numbers to compare each between. I'm not in the market for a new monitor rn but still super cool to see some of the latest tech
Have an AW3423DW and I have to agree that OLED especially with HDR on ( Good HDR implantation on the game ) its like your looking out your window. The contrast is actually nuts and to me the brightness is whatever as I play in a dark room and never use brightness that's high anyway due to the eye strain it leads to. It always blows me away when I play something on it.
I have the LG monitor and the brightness is something you have to get used to but the image and smoothness are unparalleled to anything else. I love my monitor so much. Also if you put the monitor into RTS mode, it does appear brighter and more rich with contrast
I bough the LG last month coming from the a 1440P 144HZ IPS panel. I agree I wish it had better brightness. To add to your points, IPS gets brighter for sure but when you realize there is IPS glow and other imperfections in darker games despite the added brightness; the picture is far less clear on the IPS panels to the point where it's difficult to go back to them now. I also pretty much got used to the lower brightness where to me its just normal now; adjusting the settings and turning off the power save features massively help.
Man, it feels like LG monitors have problems with brightness. I had a 4K lg monitor and I sold it and got a Asus 2k monitor. I’m so happy with my Asus monitor!!!
OLED panels .. Nvidia control panel / Adjust Desktop Color Settings and crank up your brightness to whatever you want, I'd try 65%-70%, the default is 50%.Try 60%-70%. I'd also increase Digital Vibrance to 70%-80%. Let me know. 😊
@@houssamalucad753 .. You're dead wrong! The color accuracy is perfectly fine with the brightness increased. Your argument is like saying HDR 1000 vs 400 Nits blows out the image so don't use it. I upgraded my monitor last month and was researching between these three monitors too 😂 thankfully, I reached the same conclusions and I'm happy that this video reaffirms my decision to get the PG27AQN
How bright do y'all need your monitors? I have the LG in a 4 season room with large windows in 3 directions so lots of indirect and some direct sunlight and never once thought I didn't have a bright enough monitor. The only time I had brightness issues was with direct sunlight on the screen but any monitor will struggle in that situation. At night I find myself turning down the brightness because it's too bright in a dark room.
@@zerozerozero_0 The LG definitely doesn't have a gamey design. FWIW I am not using the included stand since I just dropped it into my dual monitor stand, but it's not gamey, and in fact had some metal in the stand so it had a pretty solid look and feel. One minor annoyance is the LG has this lip or bezel along the bottom of the monitor with a super reflective coating so in brighter rooms it's extra shiny and reflective. I don't notice it while gaming, just a thing I see when I'm walking up to it. If brightness is at all aconcern I do believe the ASUS is just overall brighter than the LG. I am using HDMI 2.1 from my PC so the with ASUS only having HDMI 2.0 it would be a deal breaker if I would have waited and was choosing between the two of these monitors today. IMO the HDMI 2.0 vs 2.1 and brightness seem to be the main technical differences between these two monitors and then it's more of a personal preference on the aesthetics, with LG being more subtle and less gamey looking stand, but with the damn shiny bezel lol.
I wanna see 32in OLED panels.. 27in for 1440p is just a hair too small imo. 32in is the sweet spot. I just went to an LG C2 42in last september and I can't go back from OLED/HDR. OLED and HDR need to be experienced by more and I hope HDR Oled screens get cheaper for the masses
Per TFT-Central, LG Display is developing a 31.5inch 4K 240hz WOLED display, expected around Q3 2024. And Samsung is developing a 31.5inch 4K 240hz QD-OLED display to rival, with no expected release currently. Although the PPI on these is about 140 so that doesn't really hit your sweet spot, and they are ages away as they would probably ship in monitors in like Q1 2025 lol

I bought the aw3423dw from Alienware and I’m blown away. Best monitor by far I have ever owned. 175hz qd-oled, hdr, gsync ultimate curved ultrawide. Considering you showed monitors unboxed I think it should be said he also said this is by far the best oled on the market currently. Not all people are in the market for ultrawide granted, however, if you are I highly suggest giving it a look. As for the people who worry about burn in, dell guarantees the monitor from burn in for 3 years no questions asked. I even confirmed with via a phone call with dell. All they require is a simple picture proof showing burn in “in any way” and they mail you a new one. Love it, wouldnt go to any other monitor for the unforeseeable future.

I recently bought the MSI G321CU and I’m wildly impressed with it so far. 32” 4K UHD 144Hz, Freesync, 1ms response, 300 nit brightness, VA panel. It feels like a bit of a sleeper in the market at only $500 right now. Highly recommend if competitive FPS games aren’t your thing, it’s worth every penny.
I was excited about OLED monitors too when it first came out but lost interests on it fast due to low brightness and potential burn-in issues. I'll be waiting for micro-LED monitors. Like OLED, micro-LEDs will have each pixel lit up or turned off depending on the media on display AND it will be very bright AND no burn-in issues!! It will take a while for this to come out but I'll be patient and my Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 (32", 4k, 240Hz, HDR1000, GSYNC, mini-LED monitor with 1196 dimming zones) will keep me good for a while. 😌
Why didn’t go for the Neo G7 ? The G8 has scanlines issues @240hz. Micro-led won’t be coming to monitors for a very long time, they can’t make them as small as Oleds. Mini-Led monitors can of course get much brighter than Oled but it results in blooming. The PG32UQX is reference grade HDR however the blooming is horrible. The G7/G8 are more conservative in how much brightness they push in a dimming zone so they don’t have bothersome blooming but aren’t that much brighter than an Oled.
@@gencoserpen1260 For me, the scanlines issue really isn't that bad on the G8. If I'm sitting at least an arm's length away from the monitor screen, it is hardly noticeable. I always watch these monitor reviews like I'm going to buy a new monitor for my office. Fact of the matter is, I don't use my office and likely never will. I have an LG CX65 in my living room, and have my gaming machine and work Mac plugged into that. 4k120hz is good enough for me, and I really don't see any reason to sit in a less comfortable chair with a smaller screen to do anything. Right now my office computer is solely acting as a print server, other than that I'd have no reason to even have a PC in that room. Great review though, always good to see the options that are out there!
I am super happy with my 42" LG C2 OLED for PC gaming. Btw do you plan on doing an test for the new audeze maxwell headset? Would love to see an test and comparison with normal hifi headphones with Dac/amps.
I like your channel, have recommended your X2HR and if Zen DAC V2 vids to a few friends recently. However, I feel that this video is incomplete without you also covering the Alienware AW3423DW and DWF.

I play ALOT of FPS, mainly CoD with occasional NBA 2K, Madden and the Crew or need for speed. The zowie intrigues me the most but when im tired of cod for the day i dont want my other games too look like crap.
Nice to see a review point out some of the obvious issues with oled in the monitor world, its purely for early adopters with money to burn and a mistake for those who don't....
as someone that hates bright displays.... fucking 1000 nits is murder on the eyes, fuck that shit. i'll take an oled at like 200 nits or even 100 nits any day.
100 is too low for me but I do calibrate my monitors to 200 nits (in a dark room) and it's honestly completely fine to me if the screen can do 100% white screen at 200 nits it's not that far off being too bright for me lol.
im building my new gaming station , only the new monitor left and im dragging for a month now going back and forth , mini ips vs oled , well today you made me decide , i have too much light in my room and im streaming so no lights is off table , not the time for OLED yet my friend not yet :) maybe 6000 series hehe
I had the CX on my desk ultimately moved it to my bedroom and got to 43 Aorus and I like it a lot even though it's VA but it has enough good features to be a keeper even though I find myself tweaking it often.
I feel like these days you need to have one strong Samsung 4K monitor, a 1080P 360hz monitor, an asus 1440P 360 hz monitor and also an OLED, that way there are no compromises, and you can just use whatever you feel like at that time. Far Too many monitors out there to just restrict yourself to one that's for sure. Personally, I went with the Asus 240 hz oled most recently, it's going to be a panel I use part time for gaming only. They say its a bit better than the LG version but milage may vary. My main productivity monitor is Samsungs 240 hz Neo G8 4k.
I have color blindness. I play Pubg. I cannot see the black enemies nearby. Which panel displays blacks best? IPS panel or Va panel? I would appreciate it if you could answer me. Which panel monitor do you think I should buy?
Decided to try the 42" C2 LG OLED as my monitor and I will never go back. I paired it with a 4090 so I can always get that 4k 120hz, so not cheap, but it's the most immersive display experience I've ever had and I've noticed 0 drop off in my fps performance. Obviously pros need to optimize every detail about their setup, but I'm typically a top 5% player in the games I play and I've had no issue staying at that level. Highly recommend it.
I am using double 24" dell setup (working one, not designed for any gaming experience). I would like to switch them with one monitor that will give capability and feeling of working on two monitors. So its has to be widee. It would be nice to have +144hz, USB-C PD. Any suggestions?
Lg Oled one is the one I got and it honestly don't see anything that bad about it, and the issues with your monitor in cod sounds like something is really wronf with your monitor? I play cod and imo doesn't seem to have anything wrong beside the vsync flashing. I had to turn it off. I came from the 4k lg 950g
I now would love to see if the „cheap“ 27“ 1080p 280hz asus tuf monitor can compete with these panels because its one of very few monitors wich offers backlight strobing with variable refresh rate at the same time up to 280hz
i have an Acer Helios 300 i7 12700 3070Ti 16GB DDR5 gaming laptop, currently using my 77" LGCX TV as my monitor. Works great with everything except for Rocket League, which is my main game. Im looking to sell my TV (for about 2K) and buy the best, BIGGEST monitor i can buy, that will play RL as smooth as possible. Still super new to this side of gaming. Just came from console. Been actually still playing on my Series X bc RL just sucks on this TV on my laptop. Got any suggestions?
I have the LG Oled been waiting for something to tell me about that stupid ass bug that it switches resolution thanks brother !! Where do I download this firmware
For me I wanted something that was decently competitive but exceled at HDR and was flat. Ended up with the Cooler Master GP27U and I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely not perfect but it can hit 1000 nits in a 100% white window lol. I wouldn't suggest playing anything competitive on it with the FALD active but that's easy to switch.
Apparently there is an update coming out this month for the LG that might help with the brightness. Also for the 4k full screen issue, you gotta delete a preset using CRU abs should be fixed.
I wish VA panel is also reviewed. For casual gamer and content consumer, I've been eyeing the S2722DGM and might buy it since beside that monitor the other good VA panel is the Odyssey which is super expensive for me. So for someone who hates not being able to see someone in the dark room and constantly getting jumpscare because i don't see enemies well in those scenario the S2722DGM is the best one for me right now. Unless someone who knows much better option. 🤣🤣

Great review though, always good to see the options that are out there!
awesome content as usual! hello from the Philippines!
This was awesome to watch. Some really sick monitor tech coming out of these companies. More of this content, PLEASE!
fire review. This just means I'm still gonna wait until I'm buying my next monitor.
I want full HDR, 240hz support and 1440p at least (4k prefered)
Great comparison. i'll Just wait for a brighter oled monitor.. I'm still waiting for a Audeze Maxwell review from you! (Oh you Just mentioned it)
Unless you only play competitive FPS. The best all-around gaming monitor is the Alienware AW3423DW - OLED 34 Inch. *For PC
I am super happy with my 42" LG C2 OLED for PC gaming. Btw do you plan on doing an test for the new audeze maxwell headset? Would love to see an test and comparison with normal hifi headphones with Dac/amps.
Fantastic review. Almost wasted $1000 on the LG. Please keep making monitor reviews
I'm really excited about the Acer XV275UP Mini Led monitor. Feels like the perfect monitor for all-round gaming at a reasonable price.
Great video, but we need your review of the Audeze Maxwell now!!
I like your channel, have recommended your X2HR and if Zen DAC V2 vids to a few friends recently.
However, I feel that this video is incomplete without you also covering the Alienware AW3423DW and DWF.
I love the 1440p 27 inch oled monitors however im wanting a 32 inch 4k version of these soon. Right now for me my lg c2 42inch works wonders. And i prefer no anti glare coating on oled monitors.
Damn the beard is spot on man!
I'm addicted to ultrawide and there's no going back.
Hoping for a 40 inch - 4K -OLED - 200hz - UW monitor!
1st time on the channel and loved your review of the monitors. And I gotta say brotha your beard is epic😂😂😂
Man the videography slaps. Was gonna look at the Asus monitor but HOT TAMALES $1600 is kinda nuts
Nice comparison. I just got a newer oled tv and I’m all in favor. Next is my monitor upgrade but without breaking the bank. Waiting on 32” models to be released.
man we need a setup tour! Been tooooo long!
What would you suggest for NBA 2K?
Badseed tech the best love see this channel grow
This guy is a crazy sells man, I have the LG 27 OLED and I use it at 0-30% brightness while sitting right next to it. At 100% brightness it will blind you and be impossible to use long hours over time.
So...your *personal preference* is for a dimmer monitor. Got it.
@@badseedtech I'm human not an Alien, can't look at a 350-1000 nit flash light directly in my eyes for every long without welding glasses. For long hours, you know actually what I'm talking about, but keep pushing products for the industry that damage peoples vision and make them nauseous and sick for that $$$$$$$$. Safely and health should be top priority for people pushing display products, but it's not. I also heard crazy youtube computer monitor industry sponsored sells people say that they should add PWM flickering to the new OLED 27 inch displays that are out, to make new gaming consumer people think PWM flickering is a good thing so they can push out PWM monitor back stock that they have sitting,
great breakdown, thanks!
The PG27AQN was apparently $749 last month on Amazon. Wonder if it will ever get back in stock and at that price again.
Wow, would have instantly copped
Still 1600 EURO (!!!) in Europe, and no stock anywhere.
Another banger video! I love your production quality. Definitely one of the best tech RUclipsrs. I really appreciate how you review things objectively even if you don't necessarily like it
Hey BadSeed, killer reviews as usual my friend. Question: Since the Oled is a no go for yuh and I'm sure there is big and better otw soon. Could I snag the Oled from you? If not, it's all good. Thanks for the continued effort in all your videos!
Does the DSC on the asus make it look blurry? Thats what has kept me at 240hz. I have heard that the 360hz 1440p from asus is blurry.
I tried it for two weeks and it felt grainy imo. I have the lg oled but I play in a dark room and have zero issues with the brightness.
@@TMart95 gotcha. Thanks for the info. I've heard the same from 1 other person.
I play ALOT of FPS, mainly CoD with occasional NBA 2K, Madden and the Crew or need for speed. The zowie intrigues me the most but when im tired of cod for the day i dont want my other games too look like crap.
I’m not in the market for a new monitor but I am in the market watching the video for the sake of supporting Badseed
Nice to see a review point out some of the obvious issues with oled in the monitor world, its purely for early adopters with money to burn and a mistake for those who don't....
The beard got upgraded to DLSS 3 straight edge generation yo! 😱
as someone that hates bright displays.... fucking 1000 nits is murder on the eyes, fuck that shit. i'll take an oled at like 200 nits or even 100 nits any day.
100 is too low for me but I do calibrate my monitors to 200 nits (in a dark room) and it's honestly completely fine to me if the screen can do 100% white screen at 200 nits it's not that far off being too bright for me lol.
I see the Audeze Maxwell box in the back. Review coming soon? 🤨
actually curious what are some good monitor recommendations for someone who plays a lot of single player games?
Dear Santa, I've been good all year most of the time) i want the LG OLED 27GR95QE😋
cool but how do I get that hoodie? It's rad dude!
Awesome video!
Do i go for the pg27aqn if i can catch it on a restock or wait for a 240-360hz 1440/4k oled later this year
@BadSeed Tech, great informative video man liked and subbed, let me get that OLED monitor you dont want😂
Brother imma need one of those hoodies that shits firee
im building my new gaming station , only the new monitor left and im dragging for a month now going back and forth , mini ips vs oled , well today you made me decide , i have too much light in my room and im streaming so no lights is off table , not the time for OLED yet my friend not yet :) maybe 6000 series hehe
i love my 1440p Alienware ultrawide OLED. first gen with true gsync ultimate.
I had the CX on my desk ultimately moved it to my bedroom and got to 43 Aorus and I like it a lot even though it's VA but it has enough good features to be a keeper even though I find myself tweaking it often.
I'm a simple man, i see a BadSeed Tech video, i hit the like button & get the popcorn
Your beard looks super neat and beautiful.👍
I feel like these days you need to have one strong Samsung 4K monitor, a 1080P 360hz monitor, an asus 1440P 360 hz monitor and also an OLED, that way there are no compromises, and you can just use whatever you feel like at that time. Far Too many monitors out there to just restrict yourself to one that's for sure. Personally, I went with the Asus 240 hz oled most recently, it's going to be a panel I use part time for gaming only. They say its a bit better than the LG version but milage may vary. My main productivity monitor is Samsungs 240 hz Neo G8 4k.
Hoping we get a 27" Qd oled monitor, if I remember those can get brighter than lg's woled
Roommate has the exact one as their bed tv and I’m jealous.
I’m curious to try a 42”. I always found the 48” slightly too big to game on but I love it for editing.
lg 48gq900-b 48 ultragear this is my OLED monitor and love it, just keep some distance😁😁😁😁 OLED for the win😍😍😍😇😇😁😁
I am using double 24" dell setup (working one, not designed for any gaming experience). I would like to switch them with one monitor that will give capability and feeling of working on two monitors. So its has to be widee. It would be nice to have +144hz, USB-C PD. Any suggestions?
have you tired the INNOCN 48" OLED Gaming Monitor 4K 138Hz UHD
Got any suggestions?
i just got a acer nitro 28inch 4k 144hz. its my first 4k, got it for $400, but its really dim. my hp27i has better colors. But this video helps alot!
I have the LG Oled been waiting for something to tell me about that stupid ass bug that it switches resolution thanks brother !! Where do I download this firmware
does the Zowie have a crosshair on the screen for aiming or add to the screen for game play? will this work with ps5?
I like my LG38GN950, waiting for Ark to drop under 2k, then I will have that as secondary.
wow morocco pops out at 3:27 chefchaouen morocco ❤❤
Which is best monitor for csgo and valorant ?
Ended up switching from OLED to IPS...
For console you don’t need more then the ex2510s from benq. It is ridiculous on ps5 and series x. The motion clarity is outstanding
I'm looking for a 24 inch 360 or 240hz IPS monitor that has as good Response time and backlight strobing, but I just can't find one
