Thanks for the good tip. I needed to replace the grinder motor and sensor because I had 4 warning lights and the motor wasn’t turning. Not sure if the problem was the sensor or motor but easier to change them both at the same time. Once they were changed I adjusted the grinder as shown in your video and now grinding perfectly again with a good crema.

Today I was cleaning the grinder and thought about turning the upper dial all the way up but then I was worried that I may mess up the machine lol... after much searching around I found your video and its helped me get a perfect grind size and espresso! i'd buy you a beer if I could :p Cheers!

@@TomDamkascant remember. Think the video is 7-8 years old, but they use to have some torx screws in the bottom and some in the feeder. Then you could pop the feeder cover up and that way slowly disassemble it. Be aware of small plastic “hooks” that they usually use to slide the back and sides together 😅 Sorry I can’t get closer to a good answer but I don’t have the machine any more so I could show you😢 Hope you figured it out 🙏🏻
Hello, I tried to do this adjustment on a Gaggia Cadorna. The presentation of the mill is similar. but impossible for me to turn more than the original setting. Apart from pressing the top button, no other manipulation to do? Maybe I'm already maxed out on my machine. In that case, don't buy gaggia cadorna!
Well you might have. What I do here is a bit diy 😉 If the grind is too fine, it can maybe result in a higher pressure in the system and the machine could brake 😅
Thank you Martin Bank! I wonder if you came across this problem with Gaggia Brera when the machine disposes (presses and throws away to the used coffee tablets container) pre-ground coffee? This is when I try to use by-pass for brewing pre-ground coffee. So, what happens is: 1. I choose the spoon for pre-ground coffee. 2. I add the powder using their special tool/spoon into the brewer through the swinging lid. 3. Press the icon for a large coffee. What happens here is the machine starts its pre-brewing soaking cycle but then almost immediately disposes this portion of the coffee powder into the "garbage" container instead of continuing the cycle of brewing it. It seems that Gaggia thinks that the powder is already a waste for some reason. Any idea? And by the way - there's nothing wrong with your English man! You speak great!
Well you are welcome 🤗 No unfortunately I don’t have any idea :( the video was put up for many years ago so I don’t remember much from the repair. But my neighbor has one so maybe the know a trick to two ;) i will ask them if maybe they know what to do and write back to you asap ;P
Hi Anton. I had the same problem with my Brera and found I could not put any more than 9 grams in the bypass doser. So level off your rectangular scoop they provide, and don't pack it any. Also must be set all the way past 3-bean setting to bypass position. Hope it works!
Sorry, I can't understand English. You mean that I can adjust more fine than the orgin, right? And Is that way that disassambled, push grinder and turn that to clock wise as much as I can?
If the adjuster in the top is broken (like mine) you have to to it manually. And disassemble the machine. Clockwise finer, counter clockwise coarse. Remember to push the button as I do in the video.

+David Calver if you have a opportunity to record a vid I maybe could help you. It's a good idea to take the whole grinder out of the machine. You should put quite some muscle in it
The wild Sign above My Grinder is in the left side of the motorino instead in your video the White strip is in the righit side next to where the ground is finished
Thanks for your video on how to take apart the machine it saved me a lot of time troubleshooting how to take it apart. I tried to clean out the valve assembly as you show in yoru short video but it did not do the trick. Aerial Marks always a pleasure if I could help. The video is quite old so I can’t remember what I have done, but try to take the hose off from the inlet and the outlet side of the pump and see if the pump could suck (Let the hoses be on the pump) and put the suction side in the cup of water and the outlet side in another cup and see if something is happening when you turn between the different programs. Do that makes sense?
