The first game I've been to this season managed to get a seat in the bobbers stand as I now live in Spalding. Must say it was terrible like you say way to slow predictable always going down the flanks nothing going through the middle it's so easy to defend against. If it wasn't for that stroke of luck this would have been a disaster. We should never be playing one up front at home specially against a team near the bottom midfield just wasn't anywhere near Elijah so if he did win it had no-one anywhere near him. We lack a balance hopefully with our new players looking good we can work something out but we need to persist we 2 up front no matter what only against the top teams away should we play with one we are not the underdog any more.
Moses and Krauss bossed the final stages of the game. Moses coming short for the corner, rather than the usual hoof it into the box and hope, made a world of difference. As for Morris, I do wish he'd spend more time on his feet, rather than looking to the ref every time he takes a bump and hits the deck. It's costly and always doesn't pay off. However, he will go down in the history books as one of those players who was an excellent servant for the club, giving his all on and off the pitch. I've said it here before, Chong in my view, has been the cork in the bottle. Holding things up, poor quality final balls and yes, he can run with the ball and earn fouls but it's pointless if the quality isn't there. But McGuiness is my favourite signing (maybe because I am a defender and Steve Foster holds a special place in my heart) - but he is SO good at set plays. He is like Foster and Harford combined when he flies at the corner kicks. I just love him. If Moses and Krauss are fit, then things might improve but I think Friday will be too soon but if they are and running for the Watf*rd game, THAT will be a spicy game and we could really give them a good thumping. COYH!
Adebayo isn't off the pace. The midfield are far too far away from him. You can't hold a ball up if the nearest midfielder isn't close. Chong spent most of the game on the right. That's pointless when Adebayo is in the middle trying to win the ball.
Dont think 2 strikers up top is the way, as lewis said in his Morris video, Eli and Morris do not actually work well together statistically. Maybe if we used taylor as one of the 2 i'd understand cos then he could probably be like a Timo Werner type player to create space for Eli and Morris. Imo tho its gotta be 4-2-3-1
Kruass looks decent, but will Edward's drop Nakamba to start him. I think he needs to. Krauss looks more forward thinking. Where will Moses play?. He played on the roght wing even though he was substituted for Chong. I don't won't him playing wingback. We either play 4 at the back and he plays as a winger or he takes Chongs place. Edwards will probably play him as a fullback though. Crosses are all about pace. Alfie floats them in the box. This gives time for a defender to set himself and defend. He needs to put them in with pace. After 20 mins I watched us playing out from the back. There is no movement from our midfield. They need to be trying to escape thier marker. It was poor. I love Morris but scoring a penalty and a goal that falls to his feet doesn't change that he can't hold a ball up. You are correct that he needs to start the next game. Let's hope he can be more effective in open play.
Edwards saw the team change goal kicks bvecause the fans jeered for it to be changed and players did. This is a cut down on his authority. I think that alone hurt him more than anything else. He feels that his ideas is being ignored. Thats why I think he was upset. He is now being challenged of his authority. Normally that's a " will walk away" scenario. Players should not change the way they play because armchair fans tell them too. I don't like this. No matter if it was the right call or not players should not change the managers call because fans moaned at it. That is like showing we ignore what Rob asks and do our own thing. This is bad and I hope Rob stamps down on it. The team should be together through thick and thin not let outside influences change what the manager says. Even if the style is wrong you should never change what the manager says. Let the manager decide it
We can't play out from the back so don't do it or only do it from time to time. Other teams know that we can't do it so hassle us into mistakes. I don't think Kaminski can do it but Shea can. If we stop this tippy tappy play out from the back stuff and are more direct then I think Morris and Elijah can both play.
RE has been looking jaded recently not only on game day but ore game too. Seems to me that he needs to return to how we played last in the championship and PL. The last 15 minutes was classic Luton and I am sure if he works on the aging out from rhe back longer in training it can be integrated but not ready yet
Top quality video Lewis everyone has a go at Adybeyo but they should understand that he was a lone striker out there 2day Morris had another 3 around him u gotta put that into perspective before anything else Sheffield Wednesday deserved a draw and I think your right we wouldn't have won unless we had the numerical advantage we ain't gonna b playing 10 me every week I'd like 2 c the starting 11 b the same as the final team against Sheffield Wednesday that, I reckon would at least give us a chance of some goals maybe Nakamba in there 2 cheers buddy take care
I've only seen extended highlights of this game but what struck me was how vulnerable we were on both sides when their wingers/ wing backs went outside of our back three and crossed. Really not sure 3 at the back is what we need. Also can you play Krauss and Nakamba together? Great video as always, Lewis.
I said 15 points out of five games, and I'm still on track. We were knowhere near our best on Saturday, but still managed to scrape a win . I would start with kraus mosses and Morris against Plymouth.
Our players arent good enough to play out from the keeper. Rob should know this. Worryingly, i think certain players aint interested and get shown up by the new players. One or two need to realise LTFC is the highest their career will take them
Surely one thing you learned is that some of the refereeing outside the Premiership isn't great and, without VAR, the dynamic can be very different. VAR overturns the penalty on Saturday and disallows Luton's second goal, for sure, but in the Championship, once the ref and his assistants make the error, that's that. Critics of VAR should bear games like last Saturday's in mind. You are quick to criticise Bernard for being slow to leave the field but an analysis that describes the upper arm/shoulder as 50% handball whereas a striker controlling the ball with his actual hand isn't really handball in your eyes.........I hope you react in the same way when a critical decision goes against Luton, which it will at some stage, but I'll bet you just turn your wrath against the ref instead.
Why disallow our second goal? It was legit. No one was offside. The penalty was plum on his forearm. The player went to stop the ball with his chest but lent over too much and naturally his arms became uncrossed behind his back to help him stop the goal.... . Penalty Job done
I said the goal wouldn't count if VAR was here. I don't like the rule as Morris hasn't done it on purpose, the same if it was the other way round. Why do you think I said, I don't believe it's a penalty it just looks like one from the refs angle.

We looked awful . We don’t seem to have any game plan other than knock it around at the back for two minutes then hoof it it to nobody.
