- One of the largest barriers to entry with Brickfilming is that in order to create grande, immersive detailed sets, you need to shell out quite a bit of cash that we may not have. So, how do we get the most of the spare bricks we do have?
Get literally any brick you want without having the extra 200$ set attached to it here:

Whats in a city
• buildings
• people
• cars
• streets
And most importantly
• SPIDER-MAN
Indeed Spider-Man.
Ima the spidaman
Lol
pist dont tell anyone
I’m spider-man
Lol
I’ve also found that having an animated animal, like a rat in an alley, or swaying leaves of a tree also really helps bringing the set to life. I’m sure there are many animators out there that already know this, but it’s just something to keep in mind especially for those starting out.
JDiddy Productions hi bro
@@MaxsLEGOStopMotion president applestain is asking for me a lot of things for me and I don’t think we need anything from him
i've been doing this for 7 months and this still helps.
Noice
I’m always on a $1 budget.
Everyone is technically on a budget.
Im always epic
Moon Knight Animations but not everyone loves nickels in their tummy. Yet here I am.
"On a budget" is my lifestyle
Mood.
Everyone gangsta till forest chair comes
But Who Sits On That Chair?

@@Top_Hat_Man Shut up
Everyone gangsta till forest chair becomes a movie
This is why i like his vids, he actually gives tips and tricks on his channel

I understand that reference
As long as it isn't a dx racer in the forest
@@KamuzuB yeah what weird mind You most have to think in put a dx racer IN THE FOREST
@@coolstopmotion1921 i didn't
@@KamuzuB ok :v.
Nah i was joking, what if your chracter is in a dream. That would be a good excuse no ?
Budget is everything.
I want a DX racer in The middle of the forest
This is fantastic for more than just LEGO stuff, it helps a lot with scenebuilding in general. And honestly, these tutorial-type videos have actually helped me a lot with some of the stuff I do in Source Filmmaker.
Absolutely incredible!
"Your settings have to make sense."
"I DON'T WANNA SEE YOU PEOPLE DOING ANY WEIRD STUFF! LIKE PUTTING A DX RACER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST!"
On the contrary, the setting only has to make sense within the world you establish. For instance; inception. Weird shit happens all the time in that film. Because it has to do with the connection between dreams and reality. Take this setting, and make it a brick film.
A dxracer in the middle of the forrest, suddenly fits.
Depends on the context my dude. :D
Edit: i paused to comment this. Pretty much anything can indeed work anywhere. Provided the right context. xD
this video is very useful , and there isnt much like this. Perfect solution for buildings if a person cant or doesnt have many sets for an actual city

How to make a good set
*go nuts*
Honestly true but I don’t do brick films anymore
*Tip* : go to flea markets yard sales or look in social media to find huge boxes of lego for 5-100 bucks. I actually did this and my parts expanded and so did people that I can add in city shots. I d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have much useful pieces like I did!
I’ve been here since the beginning of this channel and these videos have helped me in my brickfilms. Thanks Edbound:)
I keep this video in mind a lot and I notice these techniques when i rewatch your vids but it doesn't ruin them, it actually makes them better :)
I was googling this for hours and then get recommended this video the next day
Hey Edbound, great video! A lot of helpful advice in this video given by the guy who does it himself!

Suggestion: Spider-Man ps4 in 8 minutes or less
Thanks for showing me brick link, I’m always spending a lot of money on sets to just get the parts or mini figs now I can save so much more by using this
Thank you for this because, I am making some brick films and this is what I needed
I was a skeptic about using bricklink because of how randomly I found it. But this sells it for me
Thanks for the advice edbound. Keep it up

Very helpful thankyou!
Thank you man I didn’t know how to do it
Thanks very helpful 😃
Thanks,that helps
Thanks for helping
Something interesting i learned from another lego animator, is that you can use greenscreen to edit in more buildings, if you take pictures of the same building, at different angles. In the long run, he says it saved him quite the amount. But it does require a tad bit more, editing skills I'd say. I haven't watched the video yet so idk if you mention this at all, but i thought mentioning it in my comment would be neat. :D
This is actually something me and a couple friends are looking into, though instead of using real lego bricks we were thinking of rendering buildings using on of those 3D Lego building programs, and then incorporating that into backgrounds and stop motion shots. Hopefully we can figure out how to do it seamlessly and accessibly
@@Edbound well it sounds like it might work theoretically! Good luck dude! You make some good animations already, so anything to improve them is good. :D
You make me so motivated to make a stop morion
Nice and helpful
Really? I'm so used to seeing the Sanctum Santorum is so many stopmotions on RUclips it's crazy to think there are other sets designs out there 😮
Yeah it's used alot in city backgrounds
thanks for the tips, I use your skyscraper tip in almost every brickfilm
Very helpful video
Awesome
Epic thx for the help chum
I love your channel and how helpfull you can be, it’s amazing to know you really care about your community. I have a lot of sets so I don’t worry about it but I really need to work on it because they get a little boring ya know? In my opinion a good set is the hardest part of BrickFilming

Me: Has only 1 of a big piece and uses for a big build
Edbound: Has 50 of them and puts it everywhere
This came out on my birthday
Tnx for d tutorial helped a lot
Good Tips.
Hey, just a tip, for the sanctum Santorum, you should remove the distinct window and replace it with maybe either a Tie fighter window or a plain one of that piece
Very useful
so good l thanks building sets are hard
Thankyou
Y’all know I’m gonna make a forest chair when I make content
I have the sanctum sanctorum showdown set too!
Thank you
