Ever since last May, I've been uploading a short, 1-3 minute long animation on my channel. A lot of people ask, "stop motion takes forever, how do you make these so quickly?" and I think it really just comes down to having a decent schedule, and knowing how to budget time well. (Or at least. Most of the time. I have definitely missed Mondays.) In this video, I try and go over the process of that schedule. I hope this in someway helps !

Respect to Edbound for grinding, it's not fun but you gotta do what you gotta do.
i dont know if we have theexact same interests or you just comment on every video out there
it’s not fun animated but it is fun watching the finished product
Its fun seeing you in every single video comment section
EazyMations animating is fun as long as you have passion for the movie. The reward for finishing these is huge to the creator
Just Some Guy without a Mustache big facts. He has such good videos, and uploads every week
This man is such a goat he literally takes time out of his day for us
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeheeeee
Hello Cyrus
Popsicle815 /Samuel ear your cereal
I knew you were cyrus
Brickamation eat your cereal
Dude, your stop motions are smoother than the camera footage of you talking. Edit:never expected, my comment would ever have more likes than ,,just some guy without a moustache“ thx.

Evan Plays is it bad?
MCW Stopmotion no I’m just curious lol
"friday, saturday, sunday time does not exist"
ah, it is only friday, saturday, sunday for you?
RADvisuals lucky him lol
I animate at 21 FPS and I save time by keeping characters completely still during speech until main words or phrases in sentences, and even then they just pivot at the waist mainly.
Mate you do a great artistic service to everyone out here, never stop.
But its stop motion. He has to stop
DeadGamer9999 ha
@@Reznovelty damn I never noticed, guess I have to delete everything
Dang 21 is a lot. It’ll still look smooth at 18 & won’t take nearly as long to make a vid.
I usually make my stop motions at 15 fps
One day I’ll be as good as you... in the mean time I’ll just watch your amazing vids... still can’t get over the old town road one👏🏽
Me neither bro lol
Just wanted to acknowledge the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time music. Awesome work.
Great video Ed! It really demonstrates how stop motion animations are made! Your videos have inspired me to start uploading my own animations. Love your videos man, keep uploading!
You take a picture... move his and a bit, take another picture, move his hand a bit...
*five hours later*
As a kid , I used to rly wanted to do this . Now I realize that I wound the able to live like that .
I too "wound" be able to live like that
Ok sry for the grammar ...😅
😅😅
I have no clue how do 1 almost once a week considering how good they keep it up
Yes, that's what the procedure of making a brick film looks like.
About that time consuming, I usually focus on film projects that contains roughly 4000 - 9000 pictures. The time it takes to make a one big project is about 1 - 3 months, depending on how busy is the life at the moment. For instance now under quarantine, I'm making a new disaster film ''Lego Volcano Eruption'' which is estimated to be around 10 minutes long. I am able to get it done in a month if pushed myself into a limit.
It's true that stop motion filming is just movement, picture, movement, picture. To prevent myself from going crazy when standing 3 hours on a same spot, I tend to listen to a music. Otherwise only things I would hear during filming would be a camera shutter sound.
About making a script beforehand, that isn't my style. First I have an idea as a whole, a theme. For an example, theme such as an alien invasion or a bank robbery. The script is created in the middle of prop building and filming, as making of the video proceeds further.
Long film projects are edited in a bits. The final form of the video is a compilation of many scenes.
Also, making a stop motion video requires MANY LITERS OF COFFEE.
Every brick film creator has their own unique methods.
Amazing stuff, the fact tat you release quality in such a short period of time is just, crazy! Keep up the awesome work, mang!
And the Mindgame sketch is such a cool idea, hope I get to submit something!
Man honestly I admire you're hard work. I didn't realize it was THAT much work EVERY WEEK. Keep it up man, the results are great
I as a amateur animator myself understand the struggle and how much easier LEGO makes stop motion
Respect! You manage to upload an animation every week, without losing quality!
bro I love your work like your creations are amazing and well I undertsnad that you're human and you have a life so one day you'll probably upload your last animation but for now just know you've got people out there that enjoy your art :))
Woah, you're mindset and work ethic/schedule is really admirable!
Super interesting to see a fellow animator's workflow! Cranking out a new brickfilm every week is tough work. I have a hard time getting one out in a year. 😅
This man deserves an Oscar, a *lego Oscar*
One of the things I love about your channel is that you stay true to your words.
Thank you soo much for your time to make us videos, you work hard, I respect you, you even inspired me to make stop motions.
Well good job Ed
I always love the LEGO shorts and claymations
Nice work man.
I really enjoy your videos and I subscribed 1/2 days ago.
Your video are really funny and well made.
"claps" good show, jolly good show! You are an inspiration to stop motion and brickfilmers everywhere!
This is really cool! I think you're my favourite stop motion channel. :)
This does a smile on my face.

Great job with the vids man!! I’m addicted to them! Lol
Dude your literally a legend and this video some how ( not a dig at the vid it’s a dig at me ) got me to really think about the grind cheers bro. P.S love the vids keep up the amazing work 👍👍
I honestly think you have a lot of talent, I would love to see you work on some big theatrical stop motion movie in the future
I love your videos!! You are the best lego stop motion video maker besides Flap jack.
thanks for making my day better
Thank you so much bro, really appreciate all the work you put into our entertainment, so thanks
yes, mega Construx also saves time too. I love Mega because its got amazing articulation and it has studs so you can stick them to the ground. one time I had one video uploaded and 2 more videos ready to upload. but i don't know how you keep your inspiration every day. most my videos are 1:30 seconds.
I love your animations, they are super cool!
Great video! Thank you for show your process.
Dude you're an awesome animator for real man
You are the man of Focus dedication and Sheer fking will
dude your just awesome i just really respect your work
I have nothing but respect for your craft
Edbound if you read this, which you probably won't, THAT RENT ONE WAS GENIUS AND I EVEN MADE A VAMPURE LANDLORD ACTION FIGURE! Keep up the good work bro always inspiring.
hmm yes we all love the grind
*the grind is love, the grind is life*
THE GRIND IS REAL
i respect your grind. Your videos honestly help me throughout the day especially with this virus going around
Very insightful
Great job on explaining to us fans of how to make a Lego Animation. Have you tried to do the Mandelorien video in Lego and try to do it in the speed that you do it in.
So cool I’m a new coming Lego stop motion RUclipsr so this advice is very useful
Nothing but respect my dude 🤙
I really hope Strong Doctor comes out soon. Oh btw, the video was great. I am already *bad* at stop motion (From my vision) so this helped alot! Also, I like the detail from script and stuff in you're video. Also, you're videos are great. Do you have more tips for stop motion? Also, please can you voice in my video coming IN A LONG TIME. It is not stop motion though, it is a traditional animation video for spiderman into the spiderverse. You have many characters you can voice. Just ask for voicing, and you'll get the role unless someone already got it! Just asking!
This video = Edbound in The Ring
Keep up the good work!!
i love watching your videos
I love your animations
Edbound tryna cop us out this monday with some kinda super realistic stop motion
Perfect example so amazing 😆😆😆😆
I actually really enjoyed this video
Will you upload that small animation as a separate video cause it's so funny
Respect to you bro
I raise my glass for this man.
Heck I don’t care if it takes you a month to do a animation as long as you’re still here doing animations I’m happy keep up the good work 👍
I've just been introduced to your channel by my wee brother and frankly it's absolutely brilliant. The consistency of the comedy and timing is sort of amazing given how down-at-the-plastic everything has to be with stop-motion, to say nothing of the animation and... camera... movement? How do you even do that??
Thank you for the kind words!! Camera movement is pretty easy when you get the hang of it. It's really just about planning the route you want the camera to take and then animating the camera itself as if it were a character, taking things like momentum/clarity into account
@@Edbound Ahhh I getcha! Thank you for the response! Do you have a lot of books to stack it on as it moves or something? Or is it more free-hand?
I wish you luck on this journey
Yeah totally understandable. As an animator the grind is real.
Grind is committed
You are my favorite animator of all time and also how do you deal with that camera noise it annoys me?
Super good job 👍
Your stop motions are smoother than dr Phil’s head
Favorite RUclipsr
I love the noise of your camera
My mans edits are the funniest😂 5:42
Keep up the good work 👌
Hardest working man in brickfilming no cap
That is so smooth. Ho do you add the voices
0:59 yep I do that same thing but I’ve only been doing stop motions for like 7 months so when I look back at what I did it’s terrible and then I have to delete it make another one looks terrible and then I keep on doing that and at the end of the day I have like 2 seconds of animation
Love the video
I'll take some inspiration from you on how I should make my stop motions.
Great video! It realy helps me out and gives me confidence to make these kind of films. And i had a question of camera use. I saw that you used a webcam-like camera, i don’t know for sure what it is and i would like to know what for camera(s) you use for your videos.
It is the logitech C920
@@Edbound thank you very much!
YAAAAS NEW VID
Great vid
70K!!!!!
I'm uploading a stop motion on my channel soon this was a great help dude👍👍👍
Great video
Awesome
I actually tried to make stop motion with LEGO and you are right they are hard
the grind is real
That's why I love using Lego. But it takes a really long time. It's taken me 2-3 months to work on a video. It's still not done.
You are a pro bro :)
i srsly want to get that original lego smile face. Its so simple like this or something
:>
That a lot of work
GOAT
Cute cat and great video!
It makes me feel so much better we use the same camera. Also what editing software do you use?
I feel you.I don't upload every Monday and I own a very small channel but I feel very guilty when I'm not uploading in a while
I never notice cameras make the loudest crunch the more you know
Many brickfilmers do BRAWL annually, Edbound does it year round. ;)
This guy gives me huge Dani vibes
So True
As soon as I get my maguire figures I’m gonna start animating.
Thanks!
