Unless I missed it you missed the sim card removal tool behind the flathead screwdriver and the lanyard ring behind the Philips head screwdriver. Good video though. I love this tool!
You said you don't like the 2D Phillips cause they only work in a pinch.. people forget that's exactly what multi-tools are. You start using them like a replacement and they break. These are for little items, for that it works great. I use that Phillips to tighten the screws hard to get to on end tables with a standard long screwdriver. I think they are worth the $20 and what I'd use for dirty work so I don't have to throttle my 30 year old Leatherman.
It quite honestly doesn't look much different than a Gerber Clutch. It has the scissors and the can/bottle opener which the Clutch doesn't have, but it's bigger too. As you said in your opening, you were really just looking for a pocket pliers, and that's why I got the Clutch. It nicely compliments a Victorinox Tinker.
Is the blade 3Cr13? Yeah, it would only be a backup blade and this only costs $20 but that's super bad. Why not at least 12C27? I'd gladly pay $50 if it ran 9Cr18Mov or 14C28N.
at this size, I wouldn't consider it more than a backup anyway, so for a budget option it's a reasonable cost cutting measure and we do need budget options, not everyone is willing to spend $50 for a multitool, especially outside of america
@@nosville22 True, although there is a horde of widely available multitools from Ganzo and others at the $30 and under level. Some of those run better blade steel in their blades too...
@@chronovore3726 I mean sure, but still. My perspective is comming from poland so every price I see in dollars is just instantly multiplied by 4.20 and then shipping allso needs being added. Those things, they add up quickly on consumer side, and on manufacturing side different circumstances create different cost cutting measures to match the consumer.
honestly, I think I just grew up on multitools where the pliers were not spring assisted. Feels odd to me to have the pliers force themselves in the open position.
looks great! 2D Philips is alright most of the time, but yeah can be trouble with some screws that might be less of a problem with a 3D bit. looking for a decent alternative to my Dime. love it, as long as you respect it's limits. it's good little tool I've carried EDC about 7 years. Just seeing what's out there that's comparable but features I might look like better.👍😎👍
Cutting a receipt which is plasticated paper is the worst cut test ever. EVERYTHING cuts that - try tissue paper and paracord. SOG Powerpint is same size with pliers that can do what the full-size multis can do.
I just got one in the mail yesterday. For 24 bucks they are a very good value.

Good catch, I never would have noticed those!

What's the Leatherman you're comparing the o'multi?
Thats a leatherman bond.
@@CoyoteEDC looks good, but too bad about the blade spring. I won't get one unless they fix that.
If supplied too much force to the pliers, the stop on the back bend or break. Had this happened to two gerbers with same design.

Pliers look like the clutch! Everything else has been improved upon.
I miss my gerber clutch, had to settle for the dime. It’s okay but not a direct replacement.

also curious about prefering no spring for pliers. I like the spring but I can appreciate a different perspective

Good looking tool but I go with leathermen rebar
it is made of X30Cr13 soft steel. Don't expect much from it.

the scissor spring looks very flimsy
Interesting but not for me. Great video!
