Doesn’t that mean that you DON’T have to do it ten times, since the ten had nothing to do with the number of jumps in the level? How many times DO YOU have to do it?
@@PDIcomics Yes you're right : they did the last jump around ten times before finishing it but they don't say anything about how many jumps you should do to reach the goal, unfortunately.
You only have to see how devious a level like 18:20 can be. Usually Ryu would beat something like that in his sleep (well almost lol) but a few (have to admit) janky & frankly deceptive jumps like the mole timing (always moles and Spikes lol) - and the whole thing becomes an easy 10+ Life-drainer.
SMM1 + SMM2 super expert no skip mashup! You beat 100 man and then you see how many lives you are left with and use those in endless MM2 If more than 30, you play till you game over. On the level you died on, play it like ryuvenge but count how many lives it took. Then subtract the number of extra lives that level took (plus the 30 lives you lost in from the game over) from the 100 man remainder. if any left you play endless agin with this new total and repeat if necessary. Would be an awesome mashup and would keep the super expert no skip theme! Edit: Should have clarified that this was my idea for the 100th episodes
What about this; Play endless supet expert no skip, see how far you can get, that amount of levels = lives in 100 mode, and then the new total is an amount of levels that is your goal to reach. If you reach it you beat it, if you don't repeat with the new total
I would love to see a second attempt at the “All Difficulties with 1 Life challenge.” The one attempt you did was SO close, and I think you could do it this time around.

The problem with the frog suit and the SMB2 mushroom is that people always make the same levels. Its super rare to find a frog suit level that isnt either "navigate the underwater instant death maze" or "hold this P switch while you run on the surface." and its hard to find an SMB2 level that isn't "Ride and throw the banzai bill." or "Ride the mole and jump over spikes."
Indeed the problems tend to be a general lack of creativity and plagiarism, but that's the players problem from the creator. The creators problem is the chances of someone playing your level being so slim, that if you do develop a new gimmick, you have to spam it until it's not new
And also levels dependant on certain power ups in general are kinda tricky to balance. If you only give them once or at each checkpoint then it can be overly difficult, but if you make sure they always have one available then they never die.
Please don’t stop your Mario series. I legit love coming home and watching both SMM1 and SMM2 vids. Granted you did put many hours into these series but I’d like to see potentially a poll suggestions for the next series you seek to pursue
I feel sad ryu didn't finish donkey kong series :( i really liked it a lot. That game was beautiful but like in mario i am not good at 2D platformers but i enjoy so much watching them.

Ryu For episode 100 of endless and 100 man, you should merge the 2 modes. Play an endless run in MM2. The amount of levels you clear, you take as #of lives in an expert and then a super expert run in MM1

He's done pacifist run in a major old smm2 video. (Spoiler, he massacred everything, sorry) He's also done ”expert" and "normal" mode no skip, where the challenge was to restart if you die once. For that one I think you can look up "if I die, this video will end"

Alpharad recently released a video called "forcing your favorite youtubers to play my favorite game" but Ryu isn' t in it and he's a lot of people's favorite youtuber. On "SPEEDRAN" -- Japanese doesn't have the "u" vowel sound in the English "run," so they usually approximate it with "a" (as in father) when importing/borrowing English words. スピードラン phonetically is supiidoran, so the level creator was just slightly off in transliterating the Japanese text for that word to Roman letters, A.K.A. the alphabet we Westerners are familiar with.
Episode 100 idea: For every difficulty Start on SMM2 and complete 5 levels. However many lives you end level 5 on you take that many to SMM1 and do the 100 mario challenge on the same difficulty starting with that many lives. If you don't complete 5 levels of a specific difficulty on SMM2 then you have to start SMM1 with 1 life. If you do not complete the 100 mario challenge with the alloted lives then the next difficulty has a handicap chosen at random (you can decide on the handicaps but stuff like: start with 10 lives less, play sitting upside-down, play with the controller upside-down, take a shot of hot sauce or alcohol etc) Do this starting from easy and go up to super-expert.
I don't think i'd mind seeing him play some other games...something that's either so hard it will make him cry or with a playerbase so frustrating it will make him rage quit. Sea of thieves comes to mind for the second one.
Would be cool if you included the 100 man Mario maker 1 for your 100 episode Could see you switching back n fourth between each stage/level but that would have some unseen cleared levels

I think you'll only get stuck if you go in as small Mario or if you crouch as super Mario, Fire Mario, etc.
