Butcher and Blackbird started out as a 5 star for me, and ended as a 1 star. Really enjoyed the the teaming up and going after killers, but once they finally gave in to their attraction and the "spice" came in, I couldn't stand it. I just skimmed the last third to get through it. I feel like the plot fell away and it was nothing but banging at that point.
Would you say you have to read the first two Abby Jimenez books in the series to understand Just for the Summer? That book sounds great, but I’ve never read from her before!
No you definitely do not. There’s just some side characters connections/cameos from the earlier books, so you could definitely read it as a standalone!
just a heads up - the other abby jimenez series is veryyy different. for whatever reason, she used to write alphaholes so her male love interests are nothing like the three you've read before! i mean, by all means, try them out. but just be aware, she's definitely shifted her writing to be a lot less obnoxious haha.
Bold of you to assume that you'll never be a serial killer involved in a relationship with another serial killer, or accidentally cannibalize someone. Check your privilege, lady!
I also did NOT think I would like Butcher & Blackbird, but I was obsessed! Can't wait for the sequel next month!

I loved butcher and blackbird as well! I can’t wait for the sequel! And Abby Jimenez is always top tier! 💕💕
I love Just for the summer so much too 😭😭😭😭 I’m debating if it’s my favorite book of the year lol
It’s perfect!!!
There can be beauty in the chaos. I'm glad you found some!
📖😉📚
You said it perfectly about “Natural Beauty”… It’s a good story but it is “not complete”. 💅🏻
I want to read Butcher and Blackbird so badly
are you going to read any more freida mcfadden books?
I can’t stand when a synopsis gives too much info. B&B is on my shelf and I need to get to it. Also, loved just for the summer!

Yikkkkessss good to know 😬
Loved!
Just for the summer is part of a series?
Yes but it can be read as a standalone, there’s just some Easter eggs/connections to Part of Your Word and Yours Truly

Abby Jimenez is so Hallmark-y. I dont get the hype. Its so pedictable.
I just don't see the hype for Natural Beauty. I didn't like it at all.
